Hotel Description:

Situated in the environs of Costa de Antigua, close to the airport. Costa de Antigua lies towards the centre of Fuerteventura and makes an ideal base for exploring others parts of the island. It’s a good choice if a relaxing, peaceful holiday in the warm, winter sunshine is top of your holidays list priorities. The complex is situated about 1,5 km from Caleta de Fuste, where you will find a golden beach. This can be reached on foot, which takes around 15 minutes. The Cocosol is ideal for a relaxing holiday, being set in attractive gardens with friendly and helpful staff. There are many facilities on site, such as minimarket, snack-bar, disco bar, and restaurant.

" Quite hols "

These are one bedroom bungalows that are in the large part privately owned.
In the road outside is a selection of abandoned vehicles that look like they have been there for an eternity and the area is surrounded by equally abandoned and ghostly building sites. There is not much to do in Antigua apart from bars but those that are there offer good value for money and excellent service. They are the only source of entertainment. There are a few "supermarkets" but some items are pricey and judging by the trade levels they would have to be!
Quite? This place is.
Ironically I was concerned about the resorts proximity to the airport but I have to say we were not bothered by the noise as the prevailing wind blows it in the other direction and it was more the morning propeller inter island flights that we noticed. These seem to be commuter flights.
The CoCosol develpoment is circa 70s-80s I would guess and is well managed, maintained and very tidy with a good pool and lovely gardens. The on site supermarket and restaurant has long since closed but the bar is still open and carries on into the small hours and is pleasant enough. The people there are mainly Brits and are friendly very useful for getting local info and places to visit that are off the beaten track . Really liked the atmosphere of the development and felt safe and relaxed all the time we were there. They have a website (Google it) and there is wireless internet access available.
Overall it is a gem set in a sea of abandoned building sites and I suppose with the credit crunch it will stay that way for some time. But, don't let that put you off. The reason I am writing this review is that I stumbled across the site whilst trying to re-book. So that should tell you some thing.

Advice: Very quite, need a car

Activities: In Antigua? it has to be all the restuaraunts and bars as that is all there is.
