Accommodation was great - good size apartment with basic amenities, good pool area though bar area wasn't yet open as start of season. Nicki and George, the proprietors are most friendly - we had a 'welcome' chocolate every morning! Fabulous location - 2 mins walk from small sandy beach. Great snack bar for lunch nearby 'taste' - value and variety, don't miss it!
Ten mins walk along a seafront promenade to the town centre. Restaurants within a mins walk or a wider choice in town centre.
There is a small dwelling being built next door but it wasn't at all disturbing. The church is quite close going by the sound of the bells on Sunday morning.
Though there's a couple of English type bars Ag Nik remains unspoiled. We found Sorrento's good for a more lively British night out.

Apartments reasonably clean, and very basic - as is most of Greece. Pool bar no longer operational, pool area very small, with only 5 sun loungers (not even enough for the number of rooms in the hotel). View from our apartment was priceless - over the bay looking towards the main town of Ag Nik. The brochure mentions a 10 minute walk to the centre of Ag Nik - this is not so, unless you sprint! It's more like 20 - 25 minutes, but there are little shops, bars and tavernas en-route so takes away the monotony. Walk takes you along the main promenade, along the sea so it's a nice view. Beware the extra charges that you will encounter and need to budget for if you take the services up = €20 per week for the safe, €6 per day for the air-conditioning (absolutely necessary if you want to sleep!) and €20 to keep the room on at the end of your stay - again necessary if you have night flight and want to be reasonably relaxed when you arrive at the airport! Location is very good, bus stop across the road to Elounda and Plaka (€1.50) and on the same side of the road to centre of Ag Nik. Trip to Spinalonga is a must, but not through the rep - they charge €39 per person including a BBQ, but if you aren't bothered about the BBQ you can get the same trip without the BBQ on the harbour for €10 per person. Recommend going with Nostos Tours, make sure the boat is the Ostria and the English/Scottish guide is Karyn - she is excellent and really brings the island alive! Enjoyed the holiday, weather was great, would return.
