Dora Studios
The warm welcome from Costas and his family ensure that guests return year after year to these pleasant apartments. Set in a convenient position for local bars and restaurants, they are also close to one of the best stretches of beach on the island.

What a wonderful holiday!! We have just come back from staying at Dora Studios, I can honestly say I would definately be going back in the near future.
Costas and his family were very warm and friendly and our room very clean and tidy. They are very basic but your only there to sleep in them anyway. Pool was very clean and inviting lovely way to cool down.
Over-all BRILLIANT!!

Three friends and i had an amazing time.. not only in our rooms but in the local area. The locals are all so friendly and i would recoment St George South to anyone... if they want a quite break away or like us a livley 2 weeks away.... its an al-round good place to be. I would love to go back. Even tho our kitchen was very small.... it had everything we needed.

Although we have been to st georges before it was the first time we stopped in Dora studios and I can honestly say if we stopped there the first time we wouldn't have gone back 3 years running. The apartment was clean and tidy but it did lack some basic cooking utensils which we did have to ask for and eventually got. Although the staff were polite we felt as though it lacked the friendly atmosphere that we had read about in other reviews. I don't know if its the same all the time but while we were there I went round to the pool at 9.00 only to find no sunbeds left as others had put towels on them and gone for breakfast. I can recommend the panorama restaurant owned by the Dora studios for dinner and the best breakfast we found was at mad mikes

We have been coming here for many years with our children and have found Alex, Dora, Costas and Ippocratos to be the best hosts in any resort we have been to. We would highly recommend this to anyone. This is very much a family friendly accommodation. We will return again.

First time on holiday in Corfu for us. We found the apartment was just perfect for our needs. Clean and well maintained with friendly helpful staff. Our balcony on the first floor overlooked the pool and countryside leading to the distant hills covered in olive groves.
It was but 200metres to the main street which is lined with bars and restaurants, not all of which were open so late in the season. Our favorite place to eat was Sebastian next to the Balcony Restaurant. The food at Sebastian’s was superb and Nancy the proprietor who both cooks and waits on table makes you feel very welcome. Nancy's baklava is the best we have ever tasted.
The transfer time from the airport was just under an hour.
We will be going back again.

Excellent. Our first time in Corfu so we were not sure what to expect. The Dora apartments are clean and in a fab situation just a few yards from the main resort, all the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them, they were there to meet us despite the time being in the early hours of the morning due to our five hour delay.
The Panorama restaurant which the family also own was one of our favourite places to eat. The food is excellent and again the staff are very friendly. We were very sad to leave and cant wait to go back again next year.

Apartments were basic and very clean. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday. The pool is lovely and has a very relaxed atmosphere around. The location is one of the best in our opinion. A one minute stroll leads you right on to the main street where you will find all the bars and restaurants. The resort itself is relatively small but has everything a couple or a family would need. The beach is fab and is less than a 10 minute walk. We spent most of our days by the pool though as it was so nice.
Eating out is a must. There are some fab restaurants; Panorama (they own the apartments) is a must, Sebastian’s Balcony Restaurant which is above Los Amigos bar. So many to name but they are a couple of our favourites!
As for bars - the best bar around has to be La Goudia. Its five minutes from the apartments and has a great atmosphere with plenty of entertainment. The staff are lovely and will keep you there till all hours!
If we were to go back to Corfu, which I’m sure we will, we will definately stay in St George South and definately stay at the Dora Studios!

Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful experience at the Dora Studios apartments. The family who runs it are so kind and go out of their way to make your stay happy and comfortable. We were actually a bit sad to say good bye to them.
The rooms are spotless and very well kept with plenty of towels provided. The pool is very clean and never over crowded and you can grab a drink, lay back and relax. There are flowers around the edge of the hotel which makes it look very pretty and there is air-conditioning and safe boxes you can hire. The hotel is in a brilliant location situated near everything you will need. The supermarket, bars, restaurants and the two beaches are not far at all.
We very much enjoyed all the food but our favourite restaurant was The Balcony. The service and food were fantastic. Lagouda bar was great - English with a hint of Greek with the latest films played in the day and fun late night quizzes.
For the dare devils there are watersports on Isso beach (the prettiest beach of the two)
Lot's of fun and Niko and Kosta who take you on the speed boats are brilliant.
A round up of everything. Dora Studios and the resort were lovely. We will definitely be coming back again. x

Dora studios - clean and tidy. Basic but great for the price. View from our balcony was directly only reps accomodation (a scruffy looking building).
The pool and pool bar shut at 6pm - CRAZY. If you want great food then walk to the far left end of the town (if you are facing the beach) and go to SPIROS ON THE BEACH Grill house. Great food. beer cheaper than in central St George places. And like it says - "on the beach" so go try the beach then have lunch there - you will be back. Lamb chops are amazing.
St George IS a one street town - no heart to it - you should hire a car - go to Cosmos (just past the junction from the beach back to the main road) - Sossana was great - very helpful English lady, we had a car for 6 days and toured the island, Corfu is an amazing island. I have been 8 times now and still do not get bored with the great people.
The Oasis bar in Vatones, near Pagi is good if you have a car as they have an above ground pool in the gardens (Vatones is up in the hills, this is where james bond went crashing through the olive groves!)

We have just returned from Dora Studios. Very good very clean and friendly people.
We can highly recommend the "Splendid" to eat. Just turn right as you come out of the road from the Dora, past Hector's then a few places on.
Alex really looked after us and too much food if anything, but we never had a bad meal.
The Thomson team were really good and Karen, seemed to have the answers we wanted, well done.

Had a wonderful holiday. First time ever in Corfu and cant wait to go back.
The apartments were pleasant and very clean. Staff made us feel very welcome. The whole complex was a very relaxing place to be. I’d like to thank in particular, Heather in the pool bar for helping to make our holiday a good one and our Thomson’s rep, Karen, who was always very pleasant and professional and nothing was too much bother for her.
There are not too many places I’ve been were I’d like to go back the following year but St. George is definitely one where I would. If I do go back id look no further than the Dora Apartments.

Me and my girlfriend went here from 11 of August for a week and were very impressed. The place itself is clean and quiet and round the pool is never too busy and over crowded! The rooms are basic but have everything you need in them, St George south is an excellent spot with quietness and great nightlife (strangely). There are plenty of places to eat and drink to suit every ones needs.
We went on Theo’s boat trip which was a whole day out on the boat (he is very loud and likes to have fun) we went to a desolate beach and had a BBQ (inc. in price) and visited various other places caves etc. Overall it was excellent and would definitely recommend this for any age group! Spot on!
PS. Weather was Fantastic too!

My wife and I have just returned from our second holiday at Dora studios in St. George Corfu. Again, we had an absolutely brilliant time and the complex was of a first class standard. Heather still runs the poolside bar with total efficiency and friendliness. The cleaning team do a first class job and are also very friendly.
Out and about, I would recommend Sebastians restaurant, just a couple of hundred yards from the apartments. We tried quite a few other places to eat, but Sebastians was by far the best in terms of quality of food and friendly service.
Opposite Sebastians is the Almyra bar. This place doesn't do meals, just snacks and drinks but it is a great place to round off the evening. It has stunning views out to sea, we actually watched the sun set, followed by a moonset, both in the same evening. The people who run the place are very friendly.
Near to Dora is Hectors supermarket, be careful of the milk, it is often out of date before you buy it.
In all, it was a great trip.

We have just returned yesterday having spent 2 weeks at the Dora Studios. We read the previous reviews before we went and thought maybe there was a bit of exaggeration. But let me tell you I agree with everything said. The apartments are cleaned every day and the linen and towels changed twice a week - more often if needed, as in my case!
The pool is well maintained and the water warm, like diving into velvet! The place is run by Heather who is behind the bar from 10 'til 6 each day. Very friendly and chatty.
Dora popped in now and again but Alex, her husband, came every evening to close the bar and clean the pool area. Also very friendly. You feel like they are your next door neighbours whom you've known for years.
St George resort is one long road and Dora's is just about in the middle set back 100 metres. At the end, on the road is a supermarket. Very handy for me to collect a fresh loaf every morning at 9am for breakfast, on the balcony of course.
Just across the road is the Panorama restaurant owned by the same people and we also visited the San Carlos to eat and for late night cocktails.
The Kostas boat trip for 20 euros is good, and, value for money.
Try it for yourself.

The Dora studios are quite simply superb, I am going back again this year as I have never found anything this good, clean, and welcoming.
The family are some of the loveliest people I have ever met and its very hard saying goodbye as you feel like part of the family there.
The island itself is small but there is always something to do whatever your tastes, the beach is clean and the water sports are good. Don’t go to this island if you are weight conscious though because the food is superb, I have yet to have a bad meal anywhere, I tend to favour the panorama but there is very little difference at all.
Don’t miss captain Theos boat trip its amazing. I have given up venturing to Cuba and far away places this holiday is everything and more than any of them, give it a try!
