Novotel Cannes Montfleury Hotel

To celebrate our anniversary, my husband and I, decided to travel to Cannes and leave kids at home. We made a reservation to a 4-star hotel, Cannes Novotel Montfleury, which my friend had recommended. I am really happy that I followed her advice. Our choice of accommodation was a full success! I think that the hotel is situated very well - we could walk in ten minutes to centre of Cannes, but also enjoy the peaceful location and view over the hills. The hotel is situated away from the main attractions of Cannes which frankly is its major downfall. The hotel runs an hourly shuttle bus to and from the town centre but this finishes at 10pm which is ridiculous considering most people eat later and there are simply no taxis to be had and no obvious buses to use. The walk back to the hotel is almost entirely uphill so not ideal for ladies in high heels. All rooms in the hotel are identically sized and have a balcony. Overall good although only 1 key card worked & reception wouldn't change it. Breakfast was lovely & an excellent selection. Rooms was very nice with a balcony that over looked the pool.

We only stayed for one night - had an overnight excursion from where we were staying near Toulon courtesy of my girlfriend as an early birthday present! Have to say this is a great hotel - excellent value for money. Very quiet location, but only 5 min walk to the Croisette; very clean; modern; excellent parking facilities (can be a nightmare in Cannes!); and superb staff.
