Cannes Riviera Hotel

Spent a week at the Cannes Riviera Hotel in October. The weather was a not great - rain for two days and not particularly warm but, by contrast, the hotel offered a warm, comfortable stay. It is well located just behind the railway station - five minutes from the Croisette using the handy pedestrian underpass to the right of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a reasonably sized outdoor pool - pity we were not able to use it since the weather was neither warm or sunny enough - and there is a small garden where breakfast is served. Our room was of a reasonable size and looked onto the garden. The ensuite bathroom was of 4* quality and there was lots of wardrobe space. Cannes is a great place to spend a few relaxing days, at least when there is no major festival in town. I can recommend a couple of good value restaurants - Au Bons Enfants and Lou Souleou - offering both good food and friendly service. I would definitely return to Cannes - perhaps a little earlier in the year when the weather is likely to be better - and stay at the Cannes Riviera.
