We found this to be an excellent hotel. The staff were very friendly, efficient, and always helpful. Our room was comfortable, adequately spacious, and spotlessly clean. The hotel is conveniently located, quite close to the centre and restaurants etc., but was not noisy. Breakfast (buffet) displayed a wide choice available.
We spent 3 days there and would be quite happy to recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel excellently situated in the old city centre, but with a quiet, calm atmosphere.
Our en-suite room was spotlessly clean, as were all the public areas of the hotel. Decor is in keeping with the age of the building whilst being modern.
The staff were courteous and helpful. Buffet breakfast comprised enough choice and quantity to make lunch unnecessary, and was available at this time of year until 10.30 a.m.
Breakfast is served in an extension of the house, looking into a small, walled formal garden.
Bedroom - the bed was huge and comfortable, with crisp white linen. We could open the window in our second floor room. The under-floor heated bathroom was supplied with more than enough towels, and superb lighting.
The hotel is about three-quarters of a mile from the station which is easy to walk, and is within a few hundred yards of numerous restaurants and bars.
Our stay was only two nights, but this hotel is highly recommended.
