My daughter and I have just returned from a very enjoyable stay in Prague.
The Meteor Plaza is in an ideal location within easy walking distance of everything you may want to visit and the friendly staff are keen to arrange for a taxi or tour for anywhere a bit further out.
Sensible shoes are a must, cobbled streets everywhere and can be slippery in wet weather!
We were lucky enough to have wonderful weather, really warm for the time of year. And of course had only packed winter woolies, perhaps wise to pack a jacket too. I had to buy one, not an easy job when their xxl size seems to be a size 14!
Anyway the hotel was lovely, clean, quiet, we didn't have time to go to the wine bar for our "welcome" drink but they did supply us with a half bottle of wine for my daughter's birthday which was a lovely touch.
The bathroom was lovely and clean with fresh towels every day and with shower and bath, which was welcome for a long soak after many hours walking.
The Christmas Markets are wonderful, so much to look at and so little time.
The breakfast? Well you'll be spoilt for choice, fruit, yoghurts, cereals, meats, eggs and more.
Oh and seemingly very honest staff. One day we forgot and actually left the safe key in the safe in our room, doh! Nothing was touched, passports, money and jewellery all there when we got back!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, of course perhaps I shouldn't, I'll never get booked again.

A great few days in October that were surprisingly warm. We went Tuesday to Saturday and I'm glad we did as we'd done most of the touristy sights before the crowds got there towards the end of the week.
We found the food and drink very good and cheap even though we were probably getting ripped off in the city centre by Czech standards.
I would say you need about 3 days to do most of the main attractions without rushing about.
Make sure you have a wander up Petrin Hill and stay off Charles bridge in the middle of the day - the traffic doesn't move!

Thought I would add a review of this hotel seems as though there is little feedback. I stayed at the meteor plaza with my wife for a 4 day break and was very pleased with this hotel, we only did bed and breakfast as we wanted to sample the czech delights and there was a few. be warned if you are vegetarian like my wife you will have to search hard for suitable places as there seemed little to offer our vege friends but as for us meat eaters there was plenty to enjoy. the hotelo staff were very helpful and would show you on there mini guides plenty of nice places to see and were always very polite. the hotel itself is spotlessly clean and very quiet just what we needed and was superbly situated for exploring prague, I would go back to this hotel if we venture to prague again which is a possibilty as the city is so clean and amazing sights that leave you breathless, if you are thinking of prague then this hotel will not dissapoint
