I visited the Coral Sea Imperial in February 2009. The hotel was very clean and staff were both friendly and helpful. The food was of good standard but a bit repetitive after a week. Its location was great! A 2 min walk to the beach and a 10 min taxi journey to Namma... more

Fantastic two weeks at Coral Sea Imoerial...everything we wanted!
This was our second time at Coral Sea Imperial and will definitely not be our last. It was like going home and the weather and service meant it was even better this time. The beach was amazing and the weather fantastic. Highlights for us were the trip to Cairo and the VIP snorkelling cruise! They were both fantastic. I would do the VIP cruise every day if I could!!! We asked to change rooms when we were given our original room in the new part of the hotel purely because we wanted to be in the block we were in last year. This was no problem for the staff who were very obliging. As all the reviews say they aim to please and I am sure this is why we would always return to the CSI. The animation team were as always friendly. They work so hard and Romeo in particular took a shine to my husband (apparentrly he looks like his Dad!) Kimo is also excellent and so polite and charming. They are what makes this hotel even more special. We must also give a mention to the waiting staff in Tiran...Salah, Mahmoud and Mr Muscles. The Lovely Nas is the only female waitress and is adorable...she also takes part in the egytian night which is lovely. We adore the CSI and yes it has it faults but all in all you get what you pay for with the best beach in the area. The only negative is First Choice and their reps who sadly once they have taken your money no longer have an interest in you. They took money to ensure we had seats together on retrun flight aand yet despite this we were givne exactly the same aisle seats we had on the way out!!!! The crew were very understanding and changed the seats for us. I would not go with FC again and will book dorectly with the hotel.
Very pleasnant getaway
We booked this holiday only 8 days before we left and with First Choice. Flight was good as we were given extra leg room outbound. On arrival at Sharm airport however, we experienced some problems. Immense overcrowding prior to passport control, Not the best start to our holiday but once we collected our luggage we were greeted by our friendly reps Sammy and Angie and a quick coach transfer to the hotel. Check in at the hotel was very efficient and we were shown immediately to our lovely sea view room. Rooms are well equipped and large and were kept very clean throughout our stay. Negatives: The hotel is in need of some TLC. eg. paintwork tatty,no locks on some communal loos, lights dangling from ceilings and tatty wooden boards blocking some throughways. Food was disappointingly very average, we found it bland and cold. The italian restaurant was terrible, The so called italian set meal was just the same sort of food that we had in the buffet. Positives: The animation team at this hotel are absolutely fantastic. To be honest they made our stay! We want to mention the brilliant Kemo and his team, particularly Romeo, Damal, Natalie and Victor. The towel man Fael was also lovely and saved our special place around the pool (which was freezing cold) each day without us even asking. Ash, the pool barman was also very popular too. The reason they made our holiday special was their humour, rapport and amazing hard work. They are a credit to the Coral Sea Imperial and we miss them and thank them.
Coral beach imperial fantastic holiday
We stayed at the Coral Beach Imperial from 12th January -19th January. What can I say this hotel is fantastic, rooms were large and amenities at hotel were great. Staff were friendly and very helpful. They really made my little boys holiday. The food was quite varied and was nice, the only thing was they stopped serving ice cream at meals whilst we were there which was a bit of a disappointment for my little boy. Evening entertainment is focused mainly at little children and families. My little boy loved the mini disco. This hotel is situated right near the beach which had loads of sunbeds as well as having loads of sunbeds round the pool. We will be going back to this hotel next year. Any questions please feel free to contact me.
The perfect getaway...
OK, so we didnt know where to go... we wanted some sun and a relaxing break ,not to far to travel and nothing that was going to break the bank just after christmas.... and we found it. The Coral Sea Imperial is a nice hotel on the sea front which has a nice sandy beach. The sea is home to some of the most amazing sea life. Having not gone snorkling or diving i was disapointed after hearing some of the experiences of the other holiday makers, so make diving a must! The hotel is 'what it says on the tin.' I believe the rating of a 4 star is adequate with ample sized pools (1 large and one smaller and nicer heated pool.) The comunal areas are very nice and clean. The bedrooms are well equipt with a built in UK style socket, hairdrier, bath and a seperate shower. All of which have nice views with options of pool views or sea. We had a pool view which was perfectly by the heated pool. The food was so so... they do not eat pork here so if your a brekkie lover then u will very much be dissapointed. Most evening and dinner dishes were made from either beef or chicken, and nothing much else. But the fresh bread rolls are fab, and my girlfriend was rather partial to the chocolate icecream! We also went to the Italian in the hotel which we thought was very nice, but bear in mind that the drinks here (or any of the other a la carte restaurants) are not included in the 'all inclusive' package. So all in all a nice hotel in a pretty loation, ideal for beach lovers and divers. A place just to chill out and feel human again, while indulging and not having to worry about the bill.
Our home from home in sharm
We have just returned from a fantastic time at our home from home in sharm. The Staff at the Coral Sea Imperial are absolutely wonderful and cannot do enough for you. This was the first time visit for our son Scott, who loved it so much he wants to go back and join the animation Team. The food was great, plenty of choice, and plenty to eat, you will not starve here. We were given the same room we had in May 2008 and it felt like we have returned back home. Unfortunately I took a throat infection and I must pass on a great big thank you to Said, Guest Relations Manager, who could not do enough for us, even going to the chemist to help my husband purchase the correct medicine, thank you so much our friend Said. We would also like to thank our dear friend Nabil, who we first met in May and always makes our vist to this hotel extra special. We cannot forget the fantastic animation Team of Romeo, Mark, Chemo and Tamar, and a special thank you to Tam Tam who called our son " white Boy" as he was so pale, but looked after him so well, thank you guys and we will see you again in September. There are a few guys, who work in the restaurants we would also like to thank for their special attention to us, Essen, Moheb, Mohammed, Haney, Fatty and all the guys who worked so hard to dish out the food and also serve it, thank you so much. The Diving Centre, Aquarius, is the best dive Centre in Sharm, Michael, Hassan and his team always make you feel so welcome, and both my husband Ian and son Scott enjoyed their fantastic diving experience, great to see you guys. We also met the new Operations Manager, Khaled, who was really nice, and we heard all about the fantastic plans for the hotel and we wish him well with this, you have chosen a fantastic hotel to work with and a "Gem of a Staff Team" I cannot forget our friend Said, who cleaned our room last year and who we saw this year again, great to see you, and thank you Said, this time Mustafa was our cleaner and was so friendly, always very happy and cleaned our room very well, thank you Said and Mustafa. See you all soon Ian, Ann and Scott McLaughlan
Great for relaxing winter break.....
We have just returned from a week at the Coral Sea Imperial (2 couples in our 20's), 9-16th Jan 09. The hotel was lovely, clean and well maintained, the rooms are spacious and well equipt, the staff are friendly and helpful - they work from dusk til dawn and are still cheery and cannot do enough for you. The food in both of the buffet restaurants was good, plenty of choice, could always find something and the pastries/sweets/fresh bread are all very nice too. Both the pool and beach areas are really nice and the snorkelling from the jetty at this hotel is amazing (this was my 3rd visit to Sharm, each time at different hotels, and this was definately the best spot I've snorkelled at, I didn't bother going on a boat trip this time as you saw all you could want to here!). The night life at the hotel isn't up to much, the animation team do try hard but to be honest it wasn't our thing, we did go to the Pirate Club on site and the DJ does his best but the drinks are quite pricey as this opens after the AI finishes at 11pm. Naama bay has a Pasha nightclub if you want a proper night out though or if you just want a drink we'd recommend the Camel Bar roof terrace, relaxing but not dull. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would definately recommend this hotel.
Highly Recommended for a beach break
Super All Inclusive Resort, highly recommended Stayed Jan 11th for a week at the start of 2009 Weather was fantastic - will clear blue sky and sometimes a stiff breeze, resort is right on the beach Incredible snorkling right from the beach People are genuine and want to serve Super large room Fully justified the 4*plus rating with First Choice Easy and quick transfer times from Sharm's airport Wi/Fi was a rip off Food was generally good but sometimes very repetitive Worst think for us was the entertainment at right - absolutely rubbish - targeted under 11's mentality
Lovely trip!
Very lovely holiday. Hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. Lovely clean and spacious room. Loads of services offered round the hotel. Most reviews about poor food are true but its edible and always more than enough. Buy your own alcohol before you go. Would advise a trip to Cairo if its avaliable to you, once in a lifetime opportunity! very worthwhile.
Egypt in January
Needed some last minute winter sunshine. The hotel was neat and tidy. Only 10 minute drive from the airport but surprisingly free from aircraft noise. Area surrounding hotel is a mixture of building site and desolation, easy to ignore when facing the sea. Transition from Conrad to Coral Sea still taking place. Finishing touches are missing at this time, but these are only small details that really wouldn't affect your stay. All staff friendly and helpful, although some people may find the Animation /Activities Team over-powering. Making friends with waiting staff is a good idea as you will capture their attention. Pool area clean and pleasant. One heated swimming pool very popular at this time of year! Hotel not very busy, even staff comment on it. Global recession? Food and drink not overly fussy but plentiful. Met my expectations of all inclusive deal. If like my husband, you are very tall then chose your carrier carefully as seating with First Choice is not very good for a 5 hour plus trip.
Fantastic New Year at the Coral Sea Imperial!!!
Had a fantastic new year at the coral sea imperial!! First things first, the room was lovely and clean and everything worked that should do!! we upgraded to a seaview room which is a definate must as the view was absoloutly gorgeous, all the rooms have a terrace in which you can sit and relax! All food and drink was all inclusive and was very good value for money, lots of choices and something different every night! There were 8 of us in our party and not a single complaint about the food all holiday. All inclusive cocktails were also nice! The private beach is beauitful and the snorkling amazing! There are also 2 pools which are good, always somewhere to get a drink either on the beach or pool area! The hotel itself is definatly 5*, very luxurious and cannot fault it at all! The staff are the cherry on the top for us on this holiday, they cannot do enough for you! Whether it be our favourite waiter's Islam or Hossney (who also served us on new years eve), the animation team (in particular mark and romeo) - they all always worked so hard to provide entertainment for the guests! Everyone basically works 24/7 in order for you to have a fantastic holiday - so make sure you bring a bit of money for some tips! New years eve was good, with a massive markee with over 1300 people there; again food was nice and the entertainment/dancing was awesome!! Overall holiday fantastic and did not want to come home! Will definately go back again!! The Mansfield Family!! Manchester, UK
