Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao

A perfect complement to any visit to the Guggenheim museum. Wonderfully stylish bedrooms and public areas, breakfast terrace overlooks the museum from top floor. We enjoyed a terrific lunch in the private dining room overlooking the atrium. Friendly, polite staff. I will definately be back.

After a tricky entry into Bilboa and a panicky entrance into the hotel (their directions failed to specify that the main entrance was not the same as their address facing the Guggenheim but really on a parallel street on the other side of the building) we really learned to love this hotel. Very trendy, hip and modern the rooms functioned well and the help were pleasant, helpful, competent and just plain fun. This is a simply wonderful hotel - sets an example to others of how five star hotels should be! The particular highlights: * Discreet, attentive service - staff will do their utmost to help you. Very impressive. * Fabulously modern and funky rooms. Huge bathrooms with double sinks, powerful shower! Rooms come with flatscreen TVs and minimalist styling. We stayed here with two small children on the last night of a holiday in the Pyrenees. Our two intercommunicating rooms cost 300 euros. The public rooms are particularly impressive – influenced by the Guggenheim over the road. The bedrooms and (particularly) bathrooms are spacious and well designed.
