Daphne Apartments

when we arrived at the appartments they where very basic. i was very dissapointed with the accomandation, the bathroom was very dirty it had very bad limescale on the taps, the toilet was dirty, the shower if you can call it a shower was a basin on the floor with a hand held shower with no shower curtain. the kitchen all you had was a hot plate with 2 rings the crockware was not clean.we had a 2 bedded appartment if you wanted air con you had to pay for each bedroom which cost a fortune at 5 euros a day it cost us 140 euros. the only thing that was good about these appartments the beds where comfortable, the maid came every day but she only sweeped and moped the floor,didnt clean the work tops. the pool area was nice, we only seen our rep twice in the 2 weeks we were there. i would not recommend these appartments for familys.

very basic studios but that's what we've come to expect in greece, they were as advertised in the brochure. you have to pay for aircon which i thought was a bit steep at 5 euros per night but again the brochure did tell you that there is an extra charge. there are also safety deposit boxes in the pool bar. the maid service was daily and towels changed every 3 days, although the sheets were only changed once weekly. the studios could have been better maintained but overall they were ok. reception was not open on arrival however our thomas cook rep showed us up to our room. we did report a few broken items which were not repaired during our holiday. the pool and pool bar is really good, a lively atmosphere and good food and drinks. the food is reasonably priced although soft drinks are a bit pricey. the folks in the pool bar are really helpful and can give you lots of info about bars and restaurants and places to visit. if you have a late return flight they will keep your cases safe for you and you can also keep your room on until 8pm for 20 euros. it was noisy at night as these studios are on the main pathway to a lot of the clubs in the resort so you get party goers passing right up until 6am, however it's a lively resort so you should expect some noise. we travelled as a family with me, my hubby, 7 year old and my parents. we had a fab time and would go back to kardamena, but would probably try and find some accommodation in a quieter part of town.

We booked these apartments last minute and almost regretted it when we arrived, we nearly turned around and went home. We arrived in the middle of the night and couldn't get the air con until the next morning, however, things improved after that. The rooms were cleaned every day except Sunday and although the rooms are very basic, who spends there whole holiday in their room???? The shower was a bit of a nightmare in that it was tiny but we could get a wash which is the main thing
The pool bar is fab, Lisa & Kostas really know what they are doing and make you feel very welcome. The food is great and the buy 1 get 1 free cocktails are even better. They also own Bliss Bar in the Main Square which does even more cocktails!!
The apartments are very central to everything but is not noisy at night.
We would recommend these apartments as long as you are happy with basic accommodation

i was absoultley descusted when we arrived at our (suposed 4*) hotel. when we arrived there was no body there to greet us on reception, just a jiffy bag with our name x3 on and the room number the keys inside.
We had to find our way to the room ourselfs in the dark. once we got to room it was like a nightmare. there was no aircon we had to pay 10euros per night, wich was alredy included as the broucher stated. The rooms were filthy the bed were lumpy, the floor was dirty and never cleaned with grime in between the tiles. The cuboards were to dirty to put your clothes in. The kitchen cupards were black. i didnt dare to look at the pans.
The toilet wwas thedirtyest toilet i have ever seen. There was a poor excuse for a shower no bath. we didnt have a shower curtain. i did not expect to go on holiday and have to clean because themaids didnt. we spent as little time in the appartment as possible. we went self catering but did not even think about cooking a meal in this descrace of an appartment.
I would not advise anybody to every stay in this place it was a hell hole.

The Daphne apartments are horrible!
When we first went into are apartments we nearly got the next plane back to Newcastle!
The Apartments stink , there so basic but your never really in them. You will be to embarassed to bring anyone back to them because there a joke.
Kostas is canny at the Blue pool but everything there is overpriced (£2.50) for a can of pop!
We may go back to Kos but definetely not to the Daphne!

When we arrived at Dahpne apartments we were a bit surprised about the lack of a proper reception, then were directed to our room (which was upstairs but there is no lift, so difficult for 4 girls with big cases) and found it hard to find as there was no number on the door. Once inside we were surprised how small it was, with no real living area.
However after a couple of days we were loving our apartment, it had everything we needed really (apart from the shower is a bit annoying as the water goes eveywhere).
The thing that really made the apartments for us was the pool area. The staff are lovely and food amazing, and you can always get a sunbed! It's also in a really good location, really close to beach and bars but not noisey!
The only real issue we had was although the room was cleaned pretty much every day, the bed sheets weren't changed all week.
So overall, apartments weren't the best but that didn't really matter, we still had a really good time!

Me and My partner stayed at the daphne for a week and had an absolutely brilliant time i have been to kardamena 3 years in a row but this is the first year i have stayed at daphne, the apartments have everything you need . Costus and Lisa are the nicest people ever they make you so welcome . costus also runs bliss bar in the square which does the best cocktails and shots in kardamena .
the beach is a 5 minute walk from the apartments with shops a stone throw away.
i'd recommend these apartments to everyone who wants a fab time in kos .

We have been travelling to Kardamena now for over ten years and for the last two years we’ve stayed at Daphne.
When visiting anywhere in Greece you can expect accommodation to be basic (who goes on holiday to spend all their time in an apartment?).

The rooms that we and other members of our party have stayed in at Daphne were always clean & tidy, with regular friendly maid service and clean towels. On our first visit a door handle broke and was replaced the following day with no problems.
The pool area is the best that we have been to with a lovely warm welcome for you, no matter what time of the day from Kosta, Lisa & Jasmine and freshly prepared food made to order. The pool itself is cleaned on a regular basis, well maintained with crystal clear water and every night the beds are washed ready for the next day.
We would definitely recommend staying here as the location is superb for all local amenities. Enjoy.

Well what can I say about the Daphne....you'll love it if you've absolutely no standards and no regard for hygiene!
I’m no posh lass but it would have been nice to have entered into a proper room, no instead we were landed with what can only be described as a flea pit!! God help anyone that gets room 12 it’s by far the worst. To begin with it wasn’t the hotel we originally booked; we got shifted at the last minute by air tours.
We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night, all three of us girls laden with heavy suitcases (as chicks do), and our first trouble was just trying to get them up the spiral staircase, then after our weight-lifting experience we got to the room and the lights didn't work, thank god I say cos if id been able to turn the lights on I’d have ran down the stairs and shouted for the bus to come back!!!!!!!
It was supposed to be a room that sleeps 3 but it was clearly a two bedded room with what looked like a sun-lounger as the third bed. It even collapsed half-way through the holiday!
The bathroom, now there’s a joke, 3 people in a box that was our bathroom....it was filthy, the taps looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, the toilet seat fell off and the shower well, that was the stuff of nightmares! Can’t believe they were gonna charge us for air-con.....didn’t give them any money, not for that dump! I’d rather sweat!!

Kardamena is beautiful, but if your gonna stay anywhere, stay at the nissia kamares, that’s where we were supposed to be and it’s beautiful!!!

We have very different views to most others on this place. We are 4 young girls! We came away for two weeks and were not expecting luxury obviously! But we had no complaints at all with these apartments! They were very very clean!
The maid came in nearly everyday, even when 1 of us was still in bed! She always cleaned up any mess on the floor! And all round the bathroom! Only problem with this place was sheets only got changed twice but that is expected in self catering.
We had no damage done to our room therefore had no trouble with owners etc. Didn’t notice noise at night really probably because we joined in as part of it but what do you expect its catering for young people!
The blue pool was great everyone was very friendly and food is good and quite cheap. We had the best holiday here and would recommend this to other young people who are looking for a great clubbing holiday!
We will be definitely returning next year! The location is perfect. And as for the cat!! We hate cats but turned out somebody kept feeding it so wt do you expect it kept coming back 4 more it was no harm though!!
