Sofianna Hotel Apts.

Just returned from Sofianna, no complaints at all. Pool area was one of the best I’ve seen, plenty of sunbeds not at all crowded, pool bar great for the odd drink a bit on the pricey side.
We stayed in a studio which for the two of us was ideal, well equipped. With cooker, coffee maker, microwave, and eating area with breakfast bar.
The air con was great felt like a fridge after a hard days sunbathing.
If like us bar street isn't your cup of tea there's a great bar just a stone’s throw from the apartments (Zorro’s) it's a good pint at the right price and ladies try the brandy sour there!!
All in all had a great time and would recommend the Sofianna to everyone.

Just returned from our first visit to Cyprus and will def' return accommodation situated in a excellent place quiet but lively atmosphere just round the corner staff very helpful and the apartments are spacious and clean (did get the odd cockroach-but flipped them out)
Try the windmill round the corner from the apartments great value also look in at the moonlight snack bar opposite 'cheap as chips'.
Overall could not fault this place.

I’ve been to Cyprus for the last 4 years staying at different locations around Paphos self catering. This was about the best by along way allow its in the centre and has the nightlife around it was so quiet, the grounds were clean and tidy and the pool is amazing with plenty of room to move around in and out side on the loungers.
The apartment was a studio which was big, air con, TV and microwave coffee machine full size cooker the works and kept very clean, towels and clean sheets every day this is worth staying in and the staff were friendly, a 10min walk to the harbour and buses supermarkets close at hand. Some of the best restaurants are in the area Argo’s around the corner from the apartments also on the tomb of the kings road are Sissyfos and raffle's excellent £7.50 3 course meals the best around.
And a tip if bringing home extra money Cyprus pounds change in the bank of Cyprus excellent rates back to sterling. The weather is great the end of September 30/35 hot overall the apartment and Cyprus was great try, try, try. Better than Spain any day.

Just returned from our holiday. Sofianna was well situated for all the shops, tavernas and bars. Some bars had too many screens showing football daily - my son didn't complain though. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Staff at poolside bar were excellent, nothing too much trouble. Pool was great, plenty of room and plenty of sun beds. Our room was big - had a 2 bedded room. Slightly dated, but clean. Maids changed towels daily and bedding every two days.
Apartments on a one-way system road, so it was difficult for the coaches to get to. The cosmos driver reversed the coach all the way down to the entrance, which wasn't easy. The Cosmos Rep was great, helped out when our son had an ear infection. Guided us to the appropriate pharmacy.
Eating out was excellent. Restaurants to recommend are 'Argo'. Returned here several nights. Food was excellent and very tasty. Cheapest place for soft drinks for the children. Would accommodate children's portions if asked (make smaller/bigger). The 'Alkion' taverna was another excellent place to eat. Again the staff were very helpful and would alter children's portions without any fuss. The cheapest place for cocktails and the local 'Keo Beer' was Baywatch and Zorro's Pub.
Would definitely return in the future. My children enjoyed playing pool, table tennis and video games (which were situated by the swimming pool).

Returned this morning from the Sofianna apartments. Very impressed went with my Husband and 18 month old daughter Darcy. Had great time apartments in a fantastic location. Right in the centre of everything not far from Bar street if you want it young and lively!
People who work there were great nothing too much trouble and maid service excellent. Clean towels and beds every day except Sunday. Lovely Italian restaurant called Grazie nearby, and found every restaurant child friendly! If you want to be central couldn’t fault staying here still basic but very clean. Lovely pool and playground for little ones.
The beach in Paphos not brilliant but bus on the front takes you to Coral Bay about 20 mins away and only 1.60 return journey. Had Brilliant time and do not normally go back to same place but here will definitely return!

Stayed at the Sofianna with my boyfriend (we're both 25) for two weeks and had a fabulous holiday! Was disappointed with the balcony - it was very small and the view was of a dead tree, but that aside we have no major complaints about these apts. The room was basic but clean - maid came daily except Sunday and changed sheets and towels. The pool area was great for lazy days and the pool bar was good for snacks and drinks.
Only frequented the lobby bar on the last night, which was a shame because for a quiet drink it would have been ideal. Must also add that we were a little concerned about the air con and asked reception about it. Someone looked at it that very day, which was commendable!
However, the one fantastic thing about these apartments, that for me anyway is vital when booking a holiday is the location, and the Sofianna is ideal!
Overall - fabulous holiday and good apartments.

Apartments very spacious, cleaned every day. Its in a quite area and you didn’t have very far to walk to bars and harbour.
Be warned though, we had to drag our cases down a back hill, the rep was no help, just pointed the way to go, jumped back on coach and left us to it!
Paphos at xmas is lovely, so relaxing what ever the weather. This is our 6th xmas in Paphos and we shall be back again.

Five pensioners just returned. Found accommodation and servicing of rooms to be good. Lovely pool area, but water much too cold to tempt us to take the swimming gear from the cases. Reception staff very helpful. Best reasonably priced eating place we found was Argo, just around the corner (4 visits in the week). The meze was beyond my appetite. Don't go if you want familiar food. See it is recommended by Daily Telegraph and Lonely Planet amongst others.
Can recommend taking a tour in the Mercedes Limo and driver stationed at the hotel. Kiri took us off the beaten track to a number of villages. Visited a backyard schnapps still, olive oil plant, tiny flour mill and a coffee shop!!!! What a misnomer. Very impressed with the World Heritage site by the harbour, especially the mosiacs but you need to be steady on you pins if you go to the Tombs of the Kings. Aphrodite's Pool was a let-down but the coastal views there were splendid.
