Room was basic but clean, swimming pool very small, childrens play area consisted of 1 small slide, broken see-saw and a small dolls house with nothing in it. It was a good 20 minutes walk to the strip. Would not go here again as 1 member of staff was anything but helpful and made me pay for 25 Euro for a broken shutter that I did not break, but would not take my word for it and demanded payment. In the end had to pay and made me feel like a criminal. So beware if you do go here make sure on arrival that everthing is working or you could end up footing the bill. Read the information slip and see the itemised list of all the things you have to pay for if broken, interesting reading, but you better hope the TV or fridge does not break down when your there.

We booked this apartment without any knowledge of it. We know Portugal very well and Albufeira ion particular. We arrived late but the reception remained open for us. At first it appeared somewhat out of the way especially as we arrived after 10pm. Next morning, we walked around and got our bearings. It was not so out of the way after all. There is a regular bus service from the end of the street to all parts of the town, old and new. It is only a short walk to a little supermarket and a little further to top of the famous strip. The rooms are cleaned four or five times a week, towels etc changed at the same time. It is almost in the countryside but at the same time close to all amenities. All and all, we were well pleased with our stay there.

MY FAMILY HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM OUR HOLIDAY AT THESE APARTMENTS AND WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THEM, LOVELY, CLEAN AND QUITE(MY 2 BOYS PRACTICALY HAD THE POOL TO THEMSELVES ALL WEEK), AND THE STAFF COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANYMORE HELPFULL. CLOSE ENOUGH AND FAR ENOUGH AWAY TO THE STRIP. YES THERE WAS A BIT OF BUILDING NOISE, BUT WERE CAN YOU GO ON HOLIDAY THESE DAYS AND NOT HEAR BUILDING NOISE? YES THE DOGS BARKED, BUT WHAT DOG DOESN'T?

Booked this holiday not having much info about the place. Very pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was spotlessly clean the bed linen and towels were changed every day except three out of the fourteen days we stayed. One criticism, a full cooker rather than just a microwave and hob would have been better. The staff from reception to cleaners were all very friendly and helpful. The shuttlebus driver/handyman Dario was very helpful in dropping off at various local places and always on time. The supermarkets were only a pleasant walk away as were some local bars and restuarants.A very nice relaxing holiday and would not hesitate to go again. Not really for children or young people wanting a busy holiday.

My Boyfriend and I have just arrived home from our 2 week break in Portugal. I would recommend these apartments to anyone as they cater for all. At first look they seem to be in the middle of nowhere, but when you find your bearings the "strip" is only a ten minute walk away or if you prefer there is a courtesy bus 3 times a day which is very reliable. If you miss the courtesy bus a taxi is only 3.90 euros and these are very easy to get and can take you into old town as well as the "strip".
The apartments are very clean and we got new towels and bins emptied every other day. They also made our beds and mopped the floors. The staff are very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. The reception/bar area also has a mini supermarket which is very good value.
The actual apartments themselves are very well equipped each with a microwave, kettle, toaster, hob and very cold fridge.
Lots to see and do and overall a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.

Myself and my husband arrived at this complex on 21st July at 12 midnight. Our flight was not delayed, but by the time we deposited all the other holidaymakers in the various complexes it was that time. The reception stayed open to accommodate us, it usually closes at 10. Was not impressed at that stage, the complex was in darkness except for a few lights. We did not meet our rep until Monday, which at that stage we thought we were in the middle of nowhere. Having met her, she gave us a good idea of the area and from there on we knew our way about.
There was a courtesy bus at 10.30, 2.30, 5.00 and you could pay 1euro for a bus at 7 which was fine. We usually got one of these buses and got a taxi back. The taxi fare was e3.90 which was grand, but we often had to queue for up to 40mins to get one from the old town. The strip was not as bad, but we often eventually walked after waiting for 10 mins. It took us 10 mins to walk.
I have to say that the apartments were the nicest apartments which I have ever stayed in (I have been going on holidays now for the past 5 years). They were spotlessly clean and towels were changed 3 times in that week. The noise was not great coming from the building site. It started around 8 in morning and went on till 7 in evening. Lucky we were in bed early and woke up early, so the noise itself never woke us. The local dogs kept barking a lot. There was a particular house just straight in front of main gate, and 2 dogs were always barking when we came back at night. They seemed to make the most noise.
The complex could do with a better mini market than was there. There was a petrol station just up the road and it was not much better, but we just about got enough food in both to have toast and tea and orange juice the next morning after we arrived. The prices were over the top as well. Was ok when we found the bigger supermarket.
Overall I would not go there again, but if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of night life, then these apartments are for you.

The Apartment we were in was in the older part of the complex but it was large and very clean if a bit old probably due for an update.

Staff were polite and very helpful. We booked this complex due to the location slightly out of the main town hoping for a good nights sleep and relaxation BE warned The local dog population made the stay really bad some nights they would not stop barking these dogs are not strays they reside in the local houses next to the apartments, A shame because the area is nice. During our stay building work had just started on the waste land right next door although only during the day a lie in wasn’t an option . At the back of the complex is a car wash business again only during daytime but still loud if a sleep by the pool is what you want.

The Novochoro apartments were of excellent quality and staff service was very good. We had a night flight and didn’t arrive at the accommodation until around 10.30pm. Staff were waiting for us when we arrived, even though they usually finished working at approx 9pm. Our room was cleaned regularly and we received clean towels nearly every day!
The negative aspect to the Novochoro apartments is that they were approx a 15 minute walk away from the strip. At night we had to walk because by the time we were ready, the reception had closed and therefore we couldn’t order a taxi. During the day we would have to do a supermarket trip, taking 15 minutes, which wasn’t very enjoyable, especially with heavy bags and 90 degrees heat! The nearest supermarket( Alisuper) didn’t sell a great variety of products and was quite expensive so I would recommend that rather than going to the nearest one, head towards the Montechoro hotel where you will find a bigger supermarket which cheaper prices!!
Overall I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the Novochoro apartments and the pool was just the right size for everybody.
When you first arrive your first thoughts will probably be negative because you will think you're in the middle of no where but once you get to know the area its ok!
Would recommend coconuts bar, which is on the strip. if you are coming from the top of the strip (from Montechoro hotel) its approx half way down the strip. you will see bananas bar to your right and the pharmacies. It’s the next turning. Excellent entertainment for the children! they do party games of all kinds and for the adults there is a quiz and nightly shows, including Brazilian dancers, hypnotist show, parrot shows, kids gladiators, cabaret show.

Supermarket was about 10 minute walk and the strip a further 5 mins, flat walking so didnt bother us at all, in fact we prefered it as it meant we were out of the hustle and bustle of the strip.
We stayed for 7 days and didnt see a cloud in the sky the whole time we were there, weather was amazing!!! We would return to Portugal and recommend Novochoro Apartments.
Advice: Hot, Hot Hot, would go again!!
