went to the metin for second visit requested room on low floor oap , were given a room in the roof horrible asked to be moved ignored would seem people who go every year and who book direct are given the best rooms my advice if you want to visit this hotel book direct,we only ate at the hotel once ,food was o-k but boring, good restaurant hidden garden however prices are rising very fast in dalyan were paying about £25 for evening meal for two of us a price rise of approx 100% on two years ago but dalyan is beautiful we love it but are sad to say our last visit to this area due to costing much cheaper elsewhere in turkey ,but will go back to turkey
- Advice: be prepared to pay as much to eat there as at home
- Activities: hidden garden and kosk
- Good For: Beach

Booked flights and Hotel independently,v.good liaison and transfer arranged with hotel,Hotel staff v.friendly.All areas cleaned every day, towels changed everyday, pool superb.Breakfast usual Turkish fare, but would do omelettes etc., on request. The hotel did an evening meal which was very popular(and looked delicious)but my wife and I always try to sample lots of different restaurants in Dalyan ( There are so many good ones to choose from). Dalyan is a delightful oasis,a place that hasn't yet succumbed to mass tourism, and the Metin Hotel really is the place to stay. You can also arrange all sorts of exscursions with the hotel and Helenka and her staff are always on hand to help.I'm in the process of booking for September for a special birthday!

We have been visiting the Metin hotel for a number of years and have always enjoyed our stay there. Its central location is great and the rooms a comfortable and clean. The pillows are very hard and it’s worth asking the maid if she has a softer one!
Apart from breakfast we didn’t eat at the hotel as the village restaurants are really good and cheap. There isn’t much night life in Dalyan and so most people spend their evenings eating out.
The Metin is only 20 mins from the airport and there are reliable car hire places in Dalyan so it’s a good place to base yourself if you are planning on exploring the coast. We often book the hotel for 2 weeks and travel about, staying at other B&B's etc before returning to Dalyan. It’s cheap enough to be able to do this. We always travel with our young daughter who has been going to the Metin since she was 8 months old. She is always well catered for here.

The Metin hotel is like our second home as my wife and I and my two sons and grandchildren and now my friend and his wife are avid Metin goers.
We have visiting this wonderful place for 7 years and we never tire of the special people of Dalyan. It is apart of heaven.

Small, family run hotel in the centre of Dalyan. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Dalyan is a small town. It has plenty of restaurants and bars but as it is away from the beach does not attract the noisy, night club crowds. Suitable for families and those looking for a peaceful holiday.
You can reach the nearby sandy beaches by bus (hot, crowded but regular) or by our preferred option of a relaxing boat ride down the river passing the amazing cave tombs. Beautiful, sandy beaches were suitable for children as the sea is very shallow for a long way out. There is a bit of a wind sometimes which can trick you into thinking the sun is less hot than it really is. The beaches are not spoiled at all. There are changing cabins and toilets and one bar/cafe selling snacks and drinks but nothing else to spoil the view. Try the chocolate pancakes!
This was a quite, relaxing holiday (we went very early in the Summer season). The people in the hotel and town are very friendly. Trips to Ephesus and Pammukale are recommended. Also more local trips to the mud baths and turtle watching.

A truly fantastic holiday, it was a shame it was only for a week as it flew passed too quickly. The hotel Metin is in a fairly central location in the pretty village of Dalyan.
The hotel itself is immaculately clean and the flowers and plants are well tended. We had maid service everyday, which made me question the hotel's 2* rating, in my opinion it should be a 3*. The staff are ever so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They hold entertainment of an evening around the pool (not every evening), and this finishes by 10pm so good for little ones.
The food is wonderful here, we had breakfast in the rooftop restaurant every morning and ate around the pool of an evening at the hotel's own buffet style dinners - the food was incredible, and do not miss the BBQ's they hold on a Sunday evening. The food from the snack-bar is great to - a big hello to Colleen she makes the best burgers ever. Do not miss the boat trips to turtle beach, nor the trip over the river to nearby Kaunos - the rock tombs and amphitheatre, and the thermal mud baths on the banks of the lake are a must too.
Also do not miss the Saturday Market - loads of designer bargains to be had as well as Turkish delight, herbs and spices and trinket gifts for those back home missing out on this wonderful place. It is one of the few untouched places left in Turkey and is truly a beautiful and friendly place.

In September I went with husband and parents in law to Dalyan and stayed in the Metin Hotel. We booked The Metin directly with Helenka, the owner, and were not disappointed. The service was excellent. The hotel was spotlessly clean; breakfast was excellent ( I so want the recipe for the fruit in syrup! ); the staff were friendly and Dalyan is perfect. All the spectacular beauty of Turkey but without the madness of busier resorts. Definitely not the place for 18 - 30s, but if you want bars, restaurants, spectacular scenery and lovely people, then Dalyan and the Metin hotel are for you. Must not forget to mention the captain of the boat who took us on 3 different days out to the river and lake.
