very bad service from the owner apo , we had payed him for return tranfers , on leaving to go to the airport the owner apo left the apartments , then phoned to say that he had booked a taxi ,which was going to cost us an extra £45 ( all ready payed him £60 for tranfer ) 6 rooms had things stolen from them inc ours he DID NOTHING AT ALL TO HELP !!!! would never go back there at all

My friend and I have been to the Toksoy 6 times in the last 18 months. We love it there. The rooms are spotless, well equiped and most rooms have air conditioning. The staff are wonderful, Appol, Kerim, Yous, Erdal are great fun. They cannot do enough for you. If you need anything you only have to ask. If you want a relaxed holiday then this is the place for you. The pool is smaller than most and quite deep. Toksoy is in Armutalan which is 10mins on the dolmus from the centre of Marmaris. The dolmus terminus is literally 3 mins away and they run every 5/10mins. This costs 1.25 turkish lire about 50p. You will find a lot of the guests go year after year, However whether its your first time or 20th everybody is included and treated the same. There is a snack/pool bar and the food is very cheap and of a high standard. I cannot praise the Toksoy Apartments enough its a wonderful friendly place and you will not be disapointed. If you want to book trips or buy jewellry ask Appol to advise you. He will make sure your not ripped off. He can also book trips for a lot cheaper than through the reps.

We have been comming to the Toksoy for many years and we've always had a good time here.



The rooms are clean, with the cleaners in every day and we have tried most of the rooms and they are all very good. the pool is small. but great for cooling off, because it can get very hot.



Armutalan is a nice place to stay, (You are right next to the local people) and it is only a short dolmus ride from Marmaris. The dolmus terminus is not far away from the Toksoy and any bus No will get you back to the Toksoy.



Go for walks and you will find out what a beautiful place it is, as the views are really stunning, over the marina and the bay. Marmaris is my favourite place to run and you get loads of encouragement from people that you pass.



The resaurants are excellent, with the food being cooked freshly for you and a bottle of effes beer from 99p and always a complimentary drink or coffee after the meal.



At the Toksoy, Appo and his staff were excellent, with nothing too much trouble for them to help you. We've known Appo for many years and have never seen him assault any one, more like to calm a nasty situation, diplomatically, which was started and esculated by drunken british tourists.



You can leave your room door unlocked, or your belongings by the pool without fear of thieving and any thing that you leave is always returned to you. You will meet the same people year after year and you will make a lot of new friends. If no one speaks to you, it could be that you are not that friendly with others.



So in conclusion, through many years of experience, the Toksoy is a place that you can go without fear of violence, intimidation and the owner and his staff have my complete trust. We can't wait untill next year.

the toksoy is a perfect place for a quiet holiday but is also within easy reach of the nightlife.apartments are well kept ,friendly staff and the owner apo cannot do too much to help make your holiday special.

OHHHHHHH MY GOD the toksoy apartment was amazıng and people wrıtıng nast revıews are talkıng out of thıer [-]. Apo ıs great ıt was our fırst tıme here and our suıtcases were carrıed to our room and the staff were very polıte. The food was cooked properly and ewas lovely and ıf apo hıt a lady then that ıs a famıly ıssuer and not an ıssue for holıday makers. We all have famıly problems so really ıts just nıt pıckıng. Apo also dıd not treat us any dıfferently to any other guest weather ıt was there fırst tıme here or tenth. Toksoy was great comıng back next year .............................

we have just returned from our holiday at the toksoy and it was the best hotel ive ever been to the rooms are clean ther cleaners are in everday all the staff are friendly and bubbly apart from erdel he is the most anoying one of them all {ha ha} i would recomend this hotel to ever body who likes entertaintment they all push staffv and everyone in the pool so watch out!!!!!!!!!!

i have stayed in these apartments and enjoyed my stay there the owner is a great bloke apol is very good at his job and makes you feel welcome at the apartments his family is great aswell

My husband and i stayed at the Toksoy apartments in June 2008. We have been to Turkey before but never stayed in these apartments. Upon our arrival we didnt find the staff to be very welcoming and friendly as they just left me to carry my own suitcase to my room which which was located on the second floor. When we entered the room the first thing we noticed was how hot the room was and after looking for air conditioning we found that there wasnt any. We had also requested a pool view but instead our apartment was over looking a dirt track.



As the hotel is small and only has about 14 rooms we found that many of the guests were regular guests that stay at the hotel every year, this made us feel as if we were outsiders because of the way that the staff treated us differently to other guests. The rooms were basic but clean, however they were not very well equipped for example we were not even provided with a tin opener. When we asked the staff any questions they were unfriendly and very reluctant to help.



All in all i would advise that if you are staying in the Armutalan area of Marmaris you stay in alternative accomodation because the attitude of the staff was disgusting towards paying customers!!!!!!!!

I stayed in the Toksoy from the 30th May for 2 weeks and I have to admit it was my best Holiday ever in Marmaris and I have been 7 times. If you are looking a Holiday to relax this is the place to go. The Apartments are spotless clean, they are cleaned & fresh towels provided everyday. They all have a pool side view. The pool is very deep though but that didn't stop my 2 year old daugher playing in it all day with her wings on. Apo the owner is a brillant guy and he would do anything for you. It says alot for the Toksoy when most of the people that go here have been going for 10 - 15 years and sometimes twice a year.

My family and I stayed at these apartments last year and were impressed with the cleanliness of the place. We booked privately with the owner to come again this year, which saved us some money.



I would like to warn people not to trust all the staff there though as my niece is married to a Turk so speaks Turkish and she told us that the jewellery shop that the owner, Apo, sent us to gives him commision on everything you purchase. They were not aware that she could speak their language!



Also, last year, myself and others saw Apo hit a young woman in the face! I know that you have to expect cultural differences but COME ON?!?



Apart from these incidents we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Toksoy.

We have just returned from our holiday staying at the Toksoy apartments we had a fantastic time a great place to stay, The apartments are very spacious and well equipt. The apartments are in a village location with quick and easy access into town and the beach via frequently running dolmus at approx 50p each way. Apol the owner was very welcoming and friendly.

Me and my two children, ages 16 and 8, stayed in Toksoy Studios in sometime near 2004. At the time I had little knowledge of booking holidays, therefore I booked through a travel agent. It wasn't the cheapest holiday around although I did get it quite late.



The rooms were reasonable and the area was clean. Although our neighbours in surrounding houses weren’t very friendly. The hotel was quiet; this would have been ideal for some however we usually tend to opt for a livelier holiday.



I would give thumbs down for location; the building was situated on a hilltop somewhere up a mountain. Whilst on your bus journey to the city centre you will find that you are quite high up from land.



Food in the apartments were not well cooked, still the Turkish night food was fab, as the entertainment was too. The staff were very friendly here and I had a good holiday, the most important part of all.

Excellent apartments. Cannot fault at all. Area is lovely, like a village.



We found an excellent little restaurant in the next street between the big supermarket and the Hermes hotel, called Selena restaurant. Don’t miss it, it's a hidden gem!



The Turkish people were very friendly. Of course they want your money, they work in tourism! But it is no different to any other tourist resort anywhere in the world in that respect.



We had a wonderful time in Turkey, and hope to return very soon.

Was my first time in Turkey and was the best holiday ever, Apo was the best he would do anything to make you feel at home. Everything was nice and rooms very big and the nicest I've ever stayed in. Hope to go back next year ONLY THING POOL VERY DEEP NOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. Day hi to Bob, Marie, Kim, Nana, hope to see you next year.

Our first time at Toksoy and definitely not our last, really enjoyed our time there. Apo and all the staff are really friendly. Toksoy makes a great base for a holiday in Marmaris, you must go to Mustis restaurant just 2 mins away, they do great food and all the lads working there make you feel very special and make you enjoy your time there. If you want a lively evening get on the dolmas into town, only 10 mins away and go to the beach club bars. The dolmas finishes around 1am but you can get a taxi back for 15 lira. Definitely going back, sooner the better.
