Soykan Motel

Got a late deal with my wife and 2 year old girl, when we arrived the 2 brothers ihan and hussain were extrordanary helpful and i will remain in contact with them as they became my good freinds, really nice people. that on the the other hand cannot be said about mr and mrs soykan, who were extremely ignorant and seemed to care about them selfs than the guests, an example mbeing mr sokan constantly watching what he wants on the telly instead of the guest, he was also extremely arrogant and treat the 2 brothers with utter disregard and... more

Booked (on the day) prior to reviewing through Tripadvisor and was then dubious reading the varying reports. The facility has been externally, tastefully repainted (for the better) from the brochure pictures and is an easy stroll from the door to the busy beach and promenade. Simply basic but clean - the young maid was cheerful and efficient; the bar/security brothers, Ihan & Esau (spelling probably totally incorrect) could not do enough for us. I have been going to the Soykan for a number of years now,and love Mr & Mrs Soykan and their family ! its in a great location peacfull and quiet, but the noise isnt far away if you want that also. Has a great little convenience store @ the side of the hotel & a taxi rank just around the corner,also plenty of fresh fruit & veg 30 seconds away. The main beach is approx 10-15 mins walk away with plenty of cafes etc on the way for a spot of brecky or a good value evening meal.The Soykan has a good sized pool considering it's a smallish... more

just got back from turkey and loved the place, stayed at the soykan it was very small and basic but it was clean, one thing u should know is u dont get a fridge so that was a bit of a pain, i would say this hotel was for middleaged people. the staff are friendley, i never spent time in the hotel only when sleeping and getting changed so i couldnt tell u what it is like in the day, but it was quiet in the night...

Went to turkey in july and loved it, the hotel is great very clean but small but most are in turkey,pool is great and nice people runnin it, and would do anything to help!Its close to everything aswell which is good and the secuirty is good as theres people there all night so you would have no worries.food wasnt great but there is a lot of places u good go near by for nice and cheap food.u will really enjoy your stay unless you are really stuck up and want sumthing fancy but you pay for wat u get!if i went back to turkey the only place i... more

stayed in soykan a few times now great atmosphere playing gd music round the pool and great staff especially little soykan memet and dundar who was great would definatly go here again

got a shock the first day we arrived, it was so small and basic that my husband wanted to move, yet after a few days there we loved it. the people were so friendly and the staff were so helpful, that we booked early to make sure of getting a self-catering appartment there this july.

me and my friend went here oct. the best part of the holiday was going to the british pub everyday and night it is great! hotel was a bit run down. everytime you run the shower it floods the whole bathroom!! beds were uncomfy. lucky for us we didnt want to do much sunbathing coz it wasnt too hot but if we did the pool gets shaded and not many sunbeds!! i would reccomend going to the british pub to anyone it is great we have made lots of friends robbie, baris, elvis, dale, doir they are all a great laugh!! we are going back to marmaris 4... more

This hotel is disgusting been to marmaris 3 times before this is the worst hotel yet. The rooms were dirty hair all over the floor, the toilet sounded like a drill going off when u flushed the chain. Toothpaste all over the place, this was not very clean what so ever, People had wiped there nose all over the walls. The pool is very tiny and there is hardly any sunbeds i wouldnt advise anyone to stay here. We paid to get moved it was that bad. We stayed in the soykan in september and we found it a lovely little family run hotel. The rooms were basic but very clean and the owners and staff were very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We are hoping to stay there again next september. The pool was a decent size and very clean and everything is in easy reach with the local dolmus stopping practically outside. A gem of a hotel!
