Reviews of Epic Hotel, Marmaris

i have just been reading other peoples reviews on the epic and think they are very rude, all the staff were fab and i would reccommend this hotal to anyone. this was my sixth holiday to turkey but first time to stay at the epic and i would go back with out a doubt. the hotal was always clean and with two young children this is important i could not think of one thing to complain of, me and my children enjoyed our selfs at the epic and would like to thank all the staff for such a fablous holiday. see you next year!

I thought I should add a comment aswell as Epic seem to have alot of bad reviews! This hotel was great! I will admit that the staff werent too happy if you didnt eat at the Dreamboys restaurant but they werent what you could call rude! far from it actually!



Antonio, Elvis and the picture man (sorry I dont remember his name) were fantastic! The picture man did pester us to get our pics took but the guy was just doing his job! We said no and he was still super nice and friendly towards us!



I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It was clean and the pool area had a great atmosphere. I was a bit peeved about having to buy the water at the pool bar but I just took my own anyway and I never got caught lol!



If you do here I also recommend the restuarant opposite called Yes Sir. The staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. We went almost every night.



However I must say that I do prefer Spain to Turkley as you do get hassled ALOT which is very annoying after a couple of days, but the Epic was superb!

hi all, i have just returned from a 2week holiday in marmaris staying at the epic lovely friendly reception staff upon arrival, air con is £25 a week which we didnt have so we had a walk down the the nearest supermarket and brought a tall standing fan for 19lira which cooled our room down constantly for our 2week stay..we stayed in a studio they are fairy sized but do not have any kitchen utensils in, we was giving a cot for our 18month old daughter which had very large gaps in for her to slide out of which she did indeed! if you buy milk to fill your babies bottles for bedtime etc buy it daily and use it daily as it goes off with the heat its only 3lira for a carton of milk get the green and white carton from the hotel shop as all the rest of there milk tastes like a gob full of salt which wasnt nice, the weather was hitting highest of 39degrees whilst we was there although we did have 2 thunderstorms and 3 powercuts. it took a while to get used to being woken by the generator! i think it was really expensive in marmaris food was anythink from 10lira-25 for a meal and drinks were buy 1 get 1 free on spirits which was like 10lira for a vodka,lime & lemonade for a efes beer it was 4lira but they wernt buy 1 get 1 free the cheapest spirit was 8lira which was vodka & coke i would recommend to have a meal in yes sir(to the left of epic) & parkhead (the irsh/sottish bar/restaurant) down the road from the epic and the full english breakfasts at the corner steak house for 2.50 lira are the best..id advise people to keep some english money to buy there named clothes out there cuz u can get good deals like 5 lacoste t-shirts for a 10a but in lira wuold be about 35! we went on the lazy day boat trip which was really relaxing and justin was so great taking pictures and recording marmaris bay and harbour u can buy the slide show of his pics/recordings after for 30lira which is a great deal for what you get on it,also went on the moonlight cruise which was only 5lira u get dinner included chicken,chips & salad u have a cheesy disco and a ride around the harbour but drinks r really expensive on that its 10lira for scoll beer a big bottle which u get like 3 pints out of! and a local spirit is 9lira soft drinks are 5lira personally i thought it was boring and my daughter cudnt even get out her buggy cuz there was nowhere for her to go which wasnt very nice!nighty entertainment isnt very good you get same things on the same nights karioke robot man turkish dancers bellydancers overall had a nice holiday but i think if i returned to marmaris i would defianatly go all inclusive and stay at club annistacia as its meant to be a top hotel in marmaris and its a lovely looking place to stay, its not as cheap as people say it is over there.. also staff at dreamboys are great with kids but can be a little too over friendly for some people some peapole constantly was taking my daughter out her buggy n started walking round with her then when they had to serve some one just put her down n left her there!at first i didnt mind them being all lovey with my daughter but after a week of it 3times a day got very annoying..

After reading all the negative comments about the Epic I had to write my review as I totally didn't agree.

I recently got back from a holiday in Marmaris and stayed at the Epic and found the hotel and all its staff absolutely fabulous!! couldn't have asked them to be any nicer!! espiecally Anthonio who is fab!!!! and of course Elvis, Thomas and Mustafa!!! and the gentleman who takes the photos aswell!!

Considering the hours they work and the money they recieve I thought they deserve alot more than the reviews they've been getting!!

The hotel itself is a really nice hotel, made much nicer with the staff working there. It is not too far away from the beachfront and is a nice walk down there.

I would definately reccomend this hotel and will be going back to Marmaris in the near future! and if i cant get into this hotel will make sure i nip up to see you all!! thank you for a fablous holiday!! x

Just Got Back From Holiday In Marmaris Had A Great Holiday However The Hotel Was Very Poor Compared To What We Have Been Used To Generally The Staff Were Very Pleasant However The Same Cant Be Said For The Dreamboys Restaurant The Staff Can Be Rude And Arrogant Particularly If You Dont Eat In The Restaurant Thankfully They Have Elvis And Antonio Who Are Probably Two Of The Best People You Could Meet On Your Holiday And Obviously Without Them You Would Probably Not Even Consider Going Back To This Hotel

My boyfriend and I have just returned from Marmaris. Well what can I say...................... Hassle, hassle everywhere you go they love to drag you into restaurants, bars and shops. I went to look at something in a shop picked it up and they run over asking what price, what price again hassle which we definitely didn’t want. After our first day we thought we would be able to relax in our hotel. Well think again before you pick the Epic. They constantly hassled you by the pool side with buying drinks and food this made us feel uncomfortable and then accusing you of not paying for all your drinks. Apart from the hassle I have to say that the Epic was kept very clean and reception staff lovely however they need to sort out the rest of the staff. I have to say if you are thinking marmaris for your holiday we would advise icemeler which is a far nicer place beautiful beaches, clear water, friendly people and NO HASSLE!! it is just bout twenty mins away from Marmaris. I would advise the lazy day boat trip and the quad safari for activities in Marmaris oh and before I forget especially if you hungry to eat in the Drunken Crab yum yum!!

just returned from our holiday in marmaris, holiday overall was fantastic the hotel its self was not



staff are very very rude in this hotel expect the reception staff who are friendly pool staff and bar staff arent, and they are not happy if you do not wish to eat in there resteraunt and are very ignorant towards you for it . we ate out at madboys everynight i would highly recomend this resteraunt good food good entertainment unlike epics and staff are kind and not rude. i have never been to a hotel that you can only drink water from the bar, not alod your own even if you buy it from the shop in the hotel your stil not aloud it at the pool staff are very rude and ignorant towards you for this.



cleanlyness of the rooms is disgracefull towels are changed everyday that is about it, the hole stay we were there the sheets were not changed and the floor was never brushed or mopped becaue everything was stil in the same place as it was before.



if you stay in the top apartments of this hotel just becarefull before you go out onto your balcony they like to clean the roofs at like 8 in the mornig and all the dirt falls onto the balcony and onto all your belogings on the balcony. and they clean the pool at like 4 in the morning so you will here big loud noises. i would recommend that you dont pay for the airconditioning it doesnt make a difference wasit of money doent even work takes about 15 minutes to go on.



overall marmaris is amazing and i intend to return next year but never to this hotel i would recommend the hotel next door club julian top class hotel nice friendly staff too and your aloud to drink your own water.

Just come back from 2 great weeks in Marmaris. Marmaris is a great place to stay but Epic is definately not. Epic staff are rude if you don't eat in their restaurant. Elvis was the best member of staff always happy and cheerful. We changed room after a couple of days, the room we moved to was clean inside but had hair on the balcony which stayed there for 11 days. Air con went wrong they soon fixed it but left mess on balcony floor stayed there till we left 8 days later.

Umut restaurant across the road, great staff and excellent meals. Will go back to Marmaris but never stay at the epic !

My husband and I have just returned from a two week holiday at the Epic. We have been to Turkey many times. The Epic was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and the hotel pool was great. There was entertainment round the pool every day which was good fun. The staff are great, especially Elvis and Antonio.

We will defo be going back to the Epic hopefully next year.

The hotel is further out than we have stayed before but there was lots to do around the area and the dolmus is so cheap.

Just got back from the best Holiday of my life, Marmaris is an amazing place to be, however Epic is not! the staff were rude if you do not wish to spend every night in the hotel bar. i've never been to a hotel where you cannot take bottled water to the pool unless it was from the bar, even water from the market inside the hotel is not allowed. the only thing it had goin for it is that it close to Mad Boys, one of the best bars we went to. I went with a group of 10 friends and we had the time of our lives.

i really recommend Marmaris, but don't stay at the Epic.

first time in turkey and took a few days to adjust to in your face tactics of everyone trying to sell you something.Epic good base for a holiday with staff mostly friendly(especially Elvis).Rooms basic but cleaned every day.Plenty of bars nearby(Madboys a must) although hotel restaurant staff won't thank you for going elsewhere.Pretty good overall.

Just got back from a week in epic hotel marmaris .location is in a quieter part of marmaris but still plenty of shops bars and resturants .The bus picks you up literally outside to take you on the 5 minute journey to the harbour area and bazzars, walking distance to market .Hotel staff very friendly and helpful .Book your day trips across the road at No name travel agency .Adam is very friendly and cheaper than your reps trips .Get your breakfast opposite or at Mad boys ,full english for 89 pence ....just like mum`s .Try the jeep safari for a really great fun,wet day out ....We will be going back !

Just got back from a two week saty at the epic n it was brilliant!!! had the best holiday ever and goin back again in October for a week. All the staff are great and very friendly, especially Elvis and Antonyo. The dream boys restaurant is great with different entertainment everynight. While we were there we went to the turkish baths and on a boat trip, we booked our trips with Adam at No Name across the road from the epic. We had 2 really good days out and it was very cheap!! Overall a fanastic holiday, cya soon guys.

loved the epic, and most of the staff, especially jason, and elvis. Antonio was a show off and wasn't happy when you didnt eat in the restaurant, ronaldo liked the women a lot and no sooner had his girlfriend left he moved onto the next one. Wont go back because jason was sacked. marmaris was beautiful and i would highly recommend it to all, food is cheap and tasty, pool area was lovely although i did get a bad ear infection and had to go the hospital for treatment. went back in august 2007 and stayed elsewhere. going back to turkey again in september this year but not staying in the epic.

me and my bf have just come back from a week in the epic marmaris is was really nice the staff were so friendly and it was really good service very basic but clean will be goin back the next time i visit turkey.
