Smiths at Gretna Green Hotel

My husband took me to Smiths for our second wedding anniversary for a quiet romantic break; we just stayed 1 night bed and breakfast but dined in the restaurant in the evening.
The food was beautifully presented and was overall delicious. At first I thought the menu was over-priced but I was bowled over by the end of the meal.
We each had 3 courses and 1 drink each and the bill was just over £50.00, the restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were very friendly.
Our room was excellent, we stayed in a double deluxe room, which had a king size bed, luxury bathroom with Arran aromatics goodies! Also in the room was a defined seating area with fire on the wall and an lcd TV on the wall with DVD player.
The room was totally spotless and we were more than impressed with it.
Breakfast was a buffet and had the choice of cereal, toast, pastries and of course a good old fry up.
They do also have a very good spa with beauty treatments but we never tried any of them.
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and will be back again.
It is very easy to get to as it is just off the M74 at junction 22 and you can actually see it from the motorway.
