This is the best holiday we have had for many years and certainly the best value. There were four of us and we all agreed on this as did ALL the other holidaymakers who had also traveled from Manchester on the same coach as us. In fact on waiting for our coach to go to the airport on our way home, we were absolutely amazed to hear that some people had submitted bad reviews about this hotel as were the people who told us!

We initially all said that we would post good reviews on the internet on our return home but then agreed that it might be better to keep this gem of a place a secret otherwise everyone would want to go!!

However, on reading the reviews I have read today - some of which are excellent - and others which are abysmal - I'm afraid I had to say my piece!

The food was excellent - there was a huge variety in the buffet restaurant. Admittedly the other restaurants just had set menus which were fairly limited - the Italian was to our taste, the Chinese was ok and we didn't bother with the other two - but at all the restaurants the staff were absolutely charming and extremely helpful. They were very also very friendly as indeed were almost all of the Moroccan people we met and they seemed genuinely friendly and not just after our money!

The weather was delightful too - in fact we were checking prices for next February's half term within hours of arriving back home!

To anyone who is going to this hotel in the near future, I am so envious and wish I could come too!

This was one of the best holidays we have been to (me and my 2 children 15 and 12). It was the first time we had gone all inclusive and it was such a weight that was lifted off our hands. There was no need for the children to carry money around with them.

The food was an excellent variety and on Fridays was a traditional Moroccan night (which was the worst night for food and the oils upset all of our stomachs- but what can you expect in a foreign country that you had never been to before) the waiter was lovely and everyone in the resort welcomed us to Morocco.

In the brochures the pictures of the accommodation made it look clean and fresh where as when we arrived it was a little dirty but that could have been from the ware of the marble.

The different shops that were in the accommodation were a good variety and fascination to look at.

I would definitely recommend this resort to families and tourists. A definite thumbs up!!!

Me, my husband and 2 daughters have just returned for the third time from this hotel and once again have left with a feeling of leaving behind old friends, new friends and genuinely a great holiday. Within two days of being home I have booked my next holiday there!

Having travelled several countries this hotel is the one I intend to keep returning to yearly.

The animation team go out of their way to welcome me and my family and also provide a packed agenda everyday of several sports activities, keep fit regimes, kids entertainment and nightly shows.

The food is excellent with a varied choice and the waiters and chefs ensure that meal times are an enjoyable experience.

Bar staff excellent.

The rooms we have occupied have always been kept clean and fresh towels and toiletries daily.

The security provided day and night in and out of the hotel grounds ensures that we can have peace of mind, especially when it comes to my wandering 5 year old.

We have met a lot of special people (staff) on all our visits, the one person that amazes us every time is the pool man, Mohammed. Having several years under his belt this man is as fit as a fiddle and a man who, despite always on the go seeing to the needs of us sun worshippers, always has a smile and time to speak.

Moroccan people love children and it goes without saying happy kids make happy parents.

We have paid far more for package holidays elsewhere and been disappointed this is one place where you can get a great deal and come home feeling you have had value for money.

I had a brilliant time at this hotel, everyone was really friendly and provided a good time for myself and my friends. My room was good and fresh towels were put in everyday. All areas of the complex were kept nice and clean. There was alot to do in the complex throughout the day like volleyball, fun games, football, water polo and many more.

The only thing I could think of that let the place down was the food but only a little it wasn't that bad considering there is alot of people there so they had to cook alot and if you didn't like the buffet you could book to go to internal restaurants and they were all great.

All in all a great holiday.

May be going back in June 2006.

This was one of the best holidays I have had in many years. The people are friendly; the food was nice; I just can't say enough good words for this resort. It was that good we got back and booked again for June 2006.

There is plenty of things to do. Let your little ones go to the kiddies club and just let your hair down at the poolside bar. It gives 3 stars in the brochure, I would give it 5 honestly it's a great place.

The hotel itself was fine, room was clean and tidy, the food and bar areas were clean and tidy.

The food was very poor - unfortunate when it is an all inclusive resort - however, restuarants nearby were cheap for good food.

The staff were very friendly and helpful - apart from the reception staff and the bar staff in the hotel lobby.

The disco was the same 10 songs every night for 2 weeks - quite dull!

We went early on in the year (April) and the weather was still quite cool and overcast - so did not make the most of the swimming pool.

I would not go to this resort again.

This is the third time we have been to this complex, and this is the first time we have been disappointed.

The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is clean, well organised and quite picturesque although not recommended for wheelchair users

Previously the entertainment had been fantastic but no longer - it was poor.

The food was also much worse. Both my wife and I were ill.

As soon as you check out you are allowed one meal and one drink until catching your bus to the airport, previously this had been unlimited

If you have been before - it is not as good ! If you haven't been I can no longer recommend it.

I went to the Occidental Caribbean Village Hotel with a party of 10. Unfortunately 7 of us were poorly. We used to wake up every morning wondering which one would be in their apartment all day being ill. The staff I must say were very friendly but I am sure it is the hygiene where the problem lies.

I was horrified as I vacated the Hotel to see a lady arriving with twins of approximately 18 months. I thought that is too dangerous here. I am sure that if the we had that type of problem in England the hotel would be closed. We felt that the First Choice staff were very unsympathetic with our problem and said "the bug was brought from England". Rubbish it was food poisoning or bad hygiene. If they sorted this problem it would be a good holiday destination.

Just got back from the Caribbean Village Agadir. This Hotel is bad. The food is awful. There is the main restaurant which is a buffet, then there are four others, a Pizza place, Chinese, Moroccan and a Mediterranean.

We ate at the Buffet, the Pizza place and the Chinese all were as bad as each other so we didn't bother with the last two. We went in a party of four and all of us were ill at one time or another. After watching the cleaner mop the bar floor, then wipe the bar tops with the same cloth we decided it was time to find somewhere else to eat. We found a restaurant called La Scala just outside the complex which was excellent and very reasonably priced.

After speaking to other English guests during our stay it appeared everyone had the same issues. The rooms are tired looking and in need of refurbishment. The shower head in our room was hanging off the wall and the bath and shower curtain were covered in rust marks. The rooms were nothing like the pictures we had seen on various web sites. There is also a very large German contingent so be ready to fight for the best sun beds and seats in the bars. We had to but it did make for some good entertainment.

On the plus side the pool areas, gardens and Tennis courts are all well maintained and the complex is not far from the beach where there is a nice snack bar.

If you've already booked good luck!!

If not don’t bother!

I think that this holiday destination was great the kids club was brill and I would recommend it to any one with children and teenagers who have a passion for music as there is a night club which is suitable for teenagers.

And all the family will enjoy their holiday I would have rated the hotel as 5 star but there is only 1 let down which is the food but the hotel all together was like paradise the animation team were very friendly and the night entertainment was fabulous. If you don’t like the food there is a McDonalds 2 minutes away from the complex. This was the best holiday of my life and i am definitely going back soon

P.S. Enjoy your holiday

Love Jamie Leigh.
