The holiday was fab. Weather, food, rooms, everything was cool in our eyes the only down side to our hol was the entertainment on a night. Ok the team worked really hard and were lovely kids but to have to sit in the amphitheatre to watch a show which lasted between1- 2hrs where no drinks were allowed etc and then scramble to the pool-side bar for the last drink with your coats on because the temps drop low at night ruined that part of my holiday for us.
Why isn’t there another concert room on site under cover at the poolside where you can sit in comfort and chat to other holiday makers without shivering?

Just got back from the Caribbean Village and had an amazing time. The weather was wonderful and the hotel was amazing.
The rooms are basic however the maid service is superb and nothing is too much trouble for them. There are TV's in the room which you can rent a remote for however a pen does come in handy.
The hotel does have a sister hotel also on sight so you do have to share but this is compensated for as you do get six pools and 6 restaurants.
The main restaurant is a self-service place however if you do become friendly with a waiter and go regularly to their section they will help you find a table and also bring you drinks over.
You get voucher for the other restaurants and you have to book to use them on the day that you want to go. This is usually done by three girls. These restaurants are all waiter serviced so you are expected to tip.
The bars open at 10:30 every day and the last one closes at midnight. They have vodka, gin beer, whisky but don’t have cocktails like many places.
The entertainment team are amazing and get everyone involved. They are brilliant with kids. There evening shows are amazing so you have to go and see at least one. The Moroccan night isn’t that good as its organised by an outside company.
There is loads of building work going on which we were not told about and I guess by summer all rooms will have been done but for now, till I guess summer not so good.
I will be going back in September as I had an amazing time.

Wonderful holiday, yes rooms are very basic but cleaned every day also TV is so old and you have to pay for a remote control.
You share with another hotel, so in fact there are 6 pools, 6 places where you can eat.
The gardens, pool areas ect spotless cant fault always cleaning.
Also there is a shortage of sun beds, there are plenty of padded mattress which they give you
Meals in main restaurant ok ish but you get 6 vouchers to book in the other places which is 10 star all waiter served, and also meals are small, you get 4 or 5 courses so by the time you come out you are so full.
The only one we did not like (and listening to others we were not only ones) was the fish restaurant - yuck is all I can say and we eat anything, but you have pizza, Chinese, Japanese, and morocco restaurants to go to.
Drinks very basic, the normal vodka, gin beer, whisky but don’t have cocktails like many places but use brand name mixers which is good and big big glasses.
Beach towels don’t take, you can hire and get you are money back at the end and they are changed and washed.
Entertainment - we don’t do that so stayed around quiet pools but they are good and brill with kids and even around quiet pool, they will walk around and let you know what’s going on and chat.
Weather! Honestly we expected it to be warm but boy its hot hot hot in days and that’s normal much hotter than you expect but at night, its cold cold cold, you need jumpers and that’s also normal but rooms have heaters in which is nice, or like myself take a kettle and hot water bottle!
Ok now bad points:
TIPS - they expect it, you are all inc but they hand you a plate at meal times and say for service, we like to tip the ones who are good at the end and I think that putting a plate saying for service is rude.
There is loads of building work going on which we were not told about and I guess by summer all rooms will have been done but for now, till I guess summer not so good.
There is a disco starts at 11 till 3am so ask for room away from that, as our 1st night was a night mare but no problem getting moved due to the fact it was not full but if you are near it you wont sleep and you can even feel the beat under you are feet, not good.
Beach is wonderful except for the building work and diggers you have to walk through. They are building the prom and I guess that will take most of the year looking at the way they work but once passed it you are ok .
Now all inc well, we got there 9pm so would expect all in until we left. Wrong you have to book out at 12 noon.
You can get a meal voucher for lunch but have to pay for all drinks and food after and they remove wrist band and wont give you voucher until all inc party have had it removed. Which I was very cross about and many others were also, so in fact we paid 7 days all inc and got 6.
Other wise, have a wicked holiday we will be going back there again which I don’t normally do but for winter hol and sun GO FOR IT.

I read all sorts of comments about the hotel and the surrounding area of Agadir. All I can say is, I and my daughter had a fantastic time.
There is plenty to do, the food was good. Agadir is easy to get about in we were able to walk the streets and were not bothered or pestered.
Some shop keepers asked us to have a look in their shops but we just smiled and said not today they were fine.
The people were friendly, the staff at the hotel were hard working and pleasant. We did not want to leave, if you go a good buy is Argan oil. It is very good for the skin, rich in vitamin e ( I did not burn at all with my fair skin ) it cost 19DHR just over £1.
Check it out on line it’s selling for about £9 - £35 and your will come direct from the Berber women who make it.
Look out for the goats in trees that eat the fruit and let the nut drop to the ground. If staying in Agadir take the local bus to banana village.
There is a fantastic restaurant, they take you in the kitchen, to pick your meat, then the bakery to pick your bead freshly made its fantastic, after the meal they bring you a basket of fruit. it costs £2-£3 locals and tourists all eat there and talk together.
If you like surfing you'll be in paradise surf shops are easy to find, if you have visited the beaches around Agadir, you will know what I am talking about the waves are at times too high to swim in.
If you don’t like sharing a taxi, take an orange on the blue and white taxis, they are used by locals - don’t be surprised to be sat in one when it gets flagged down and people jump in and out, it does work out at only a couple of coppers as everyone chips in. An experience.
The Caribbean hotel caters for every age group there are sports, shows, a bit like a haven holiday but 100 times better. The animation team keep the kids and the young at hart entertained all day and night so that if you just want to lay by the pool or have a game of golf ect you can do.
The English, French, Dutch, German etc, all join in the fun together. I did not hear a bad word against it.
First timers like myself said they wanted to return, they had children with disabilities joining in with other kids it was just great. I cant prise the hotel or the country enough.

Just like to let everyone know what a fantastic time me and my family had at this hotel.
The rooms were basic yes but they were cleaned every day and there only for sleeping in anyway.
The animation team were really friendly, learnt loads of new dance moves with them.
Made really good friends with the guys who ran the beach hut, in our private beach area.
Food was good no upset tummies. Recommend a camel ride.
Must just say was best Christmas we have had in a long time, will be going back next year.

When I read the reviews, I was a little worried but decided to go and make the most of it. WOW! It was great. The staff were amazing, so friendly, so hardworking and so polite.
The animation team were determined to help you to enjoy yourself, and as previously noted on here, work very long hours. Both boys and girls on the team worked flat out over the Christmas period with an Agador Olympics and wonderful Nativity scene.
Santa arrived on a camel on Christmas morning to the delight of the children
The bar staff were wonderful as were the waiting staff and the cleaners (worth their weight in gold).
The food was very varied, something for everyone. The Moroccan was my personal favourite, but the Christmas gala meal and cocktails were unlike anything I have previously experienced. None of our party suffered from stomach upsets of any kind.
The room was basic but sufficient.
The people of Agadir were friendly and helpful when we wandered hopelessly lost after exiting the souk (Sainsbury's will never be the same again). The occasional hawker left us alone when we were firm in our refusal.
First Choice reps answered all queries.
We would certainly go back to this hotel/resort.

This is one of the best holidays I have been on.
I wouldn't say that everything is up to scratch and it does have a few faults but, every hotel will. For a family holiday, I would definitely say Caribbean Village Agador is a top place.
The maid is in everyday and the room is spotless when you return! Tip her something good, shes no ordinary maid!
Food is not great standards but is edible but may cause stomach ache. But there's a lovely place next door to Oasis restaurant where you can eat sandwiches hot dogs chips and burgers!
There is also a choice of restaurants you can have a free meal in on your stay, eg. Moroccan sushi, pizzeria, steak house, Chinese etc. and not far down the beach is some more restaurants including McDonald's and pizza hut.
The entertainment is absolutely fantastic. The animation team are so friendly. They work from half 9 till 2 the next morning to start again. Always trying to get you up to dance and enjoy yourself and there shows are very amusing. not too serious always making you laugh.
But the best show I saw was the Lion King, it was absolutely amazing. My group personally got along with the animation team. They include you with so much and take you for games like ping pong, volley ball, basketball, football, mini golf and all sorts!
I would like to mainly thank Medhi, Othmane, Said and Mimo, and a few others, they made the night amazing and became great friends..
I would go back, as I came home with a tan and a huge grin and have non stop spoke about it.

Just returned from this hotel and can not fault the hotel or the staff.
The hotel was clean, the maids cleaned the room everyday, the towels were changed everyday. The staff could not do enough for you.
The food was good, there was always something for someone. For breakfast though you could have pancakes with honey & sugar they were fab but know good for your waistline!
I had a massage at the Argane spa which was on site at the hotel god it was heaven.
The hotel has just been taken over by Groupe Sahara hotels. They are doing renovations as we speak, this did not spoil my holiday though as they happily worked out of the way.
The only fault I could give it would be the pools were freezing.
When I started reading the reviews, I was ready to cancel but glad I did not. I went with an open mind and loved it!
We did not have any ali belly either. This hotel was clean, tidy and food good.

We have just returned from a fantastic week in the sun. With regards to the Caribbean we thought it was just fine.
Clean and well serviced room and nothing was to much trouble for any of the staff at the bars or restaurants. We had no bother with the boys and girls at the poolside, with a polite no thanks they just moved on to the next couple.
The food was excellent and neither of us suffered at all and as the evenings went on the Vodka saw less and less coke! We wandered around the town and and along the beach a few times and had no hassle at all, again just polite no thanks and most of the hawkers moved on.
We met some great people and couldn't really fault the place, if you just want a cheap week of winter sunshine.
No problems with First choice either, everything went smoothly and on time. The only thing I would say was that it wasn't too busy and not many kids around, which suited us, but not sure how it would be in high season..

Room was clean, overlooking the main pool. Staff were friendly although the French were served before us on more than one occasion. The food was boring, the same every day. The vegetarian restaurant was closed as were several other restaurants and bars. Being a vegetarian myself I lived on chips and bread for the whole fortnight, as everything had meat in it, even the salads. We were unable to used any of the themed restaurants as they did not cater for a vegetarian diet either.
Found the area around the pool very noisy during the day with music played very loudly and the techno bar played even louder music keeping us awake until 3am every morning. So to escape the noise we went to the beach. Unfortunately three days in to our holiday lorries, diggers, a JCB and steam roller moved in to clear the area next to our private beach, ready to build a new hotel. We were told by staff that there would be no private beach area after Christmas as this will be used by the new hotel. How true this is we don't know?
If you like Butlins you will love this hotel. Although It was not our type of holiday we did enjoy ourselves and made several new friends. The restaurant staff were great. We also visited Marrakesh and the Atlas mountains, well worth the long coach journey. Would not visit Agadir again found the area very commercialised and expensive.

Well what can I say? Caribbean village Agador was amazing! Rooms, basic, but clean, linen cleaned daily. Staff, the best, they were really friendly
Entertainment, very amusing, animation team tried really hard getting you involved in the daytime activities, evening entertainment was funny, Moroccan night was ace. Some of the animation blokes are rather fit too!
Hotel complex - very clean, lovely gardens.
Overall you should definitely go! Forget the bad reviews this hotel is amazing. Enjoy your holiday!

Have just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at this hotel.
I can't understand the bad reports. Our room was spotless - towels and bed linen changed daily. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
The spice man was a hoot and not at all rude (what did the moaners say to him?)
Food was always good - no upset tummy, but we did not over indulge in booze as others did!!
It is our experience that we find staff in foreign countries to be courteous and friendly if we are likewise - maybe this is the problem for the other people!

We read all the reviews, and were quite dreading it, but we have been abroad several times and this holiday was one of the best!
Getting through passport control was a pain, but it’s better to be high on security, even if it took forever to get in the country.
We went, me, my partner and my nephew, and it was my nephews first time abroad and he didn’t want to come home, we met some new friends, and it was excellent.
The hotel rooms were fine, basic, but clean, and the maid was excellent, the animation team was the best, loads of energy, and very nice and friendly, tried to get people to join in, but if you didn’t want to they left you alone, bar staff very nice and friendly.
The food was very nice, and we tried the other hotels in the complex, couldn’t fault them.
The people outside the hotel, the stall holders, tried to get us to buy things, but if we said a simple 'no thank you' they were fine.
Overall, it was a brilliant holiday, and we have booked for next year, wouldn’t do June to august though, because I think that it would be very busy, but we'll be back there next year, brilliant holiday!

I went on this holiday with no expectations after reading such mixed reviews on here.
On arrival I was pleasantly surprised! Our room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Our maid was a star- (we were a bit messy). The food was fine- the themed restaurants were fantastic!!- You tended to have a bit of a dodgy stomach for the 1st day- but nothing I wouldn't expect at any extremely foreign country where you have to get used to a whole new diet.
The staff there were the most friendly, lovely people I have known on any holiday- and I've stayed at many 5* hotels. The waiters/bar staff couldn't do enough for you. Even the security staff- of which there are 9 continually patrolling the complex- were very caring.
Although I loved the staff I thought that the animation team were a bit full on!! All I wanted for my holiday was to relax- but it seemed I had to really fight for it when I was by the bar at night or trying to sun bathe at the main pool during the day- they really love to get you dancing around like a fool and will pester you to join in with games which I really didn't want to do!
Also, young girls watch out for them!! They are desperate to take you out of the resort to “show you the town" or declare their undying love which I found really scary... But if you are firm they get the message!
Overall, I would say it was a most successful holiday- the weather was fantastic, the room and food good and staff fantastic (apart from a couple of the animation team who were too enthusiastic for me).
I would recommend you come to the resort this time of year as it is quite quiet- no need to put towels down at 4am!!- Never need to queue for anything and always get a personalised service as the staff aren't too busy.

Firstly, I would like to state that you are staying in Morocco, this is not your typical 5* resort catering for the typical Englishman it is in fact an authentic styled hotel and restaurant who try their utmost to cater for everyone.
I would agree that the Germans and French are looked after better than the English but not to say we were not supplied with helpful and friendly staff throughout the holiday, considering they are well underpaid for the extremes they go to just so the tourists can enjoy their holiday.
The rooms are not spotless nor perfect, yet you have to remember you have not booked a 5* hotel and the facilities provided are perfectly adequate for every day use. However, the bathroom needs to be refurbished simply from wear and tear.
I would encourage anybody looking for a cultural but traditional fun holiday in the sun to stay at the Occidental Caribbean Village - for two adults and three children it was great value for money!
PS. If you are looking for your typical English breakfast then forget it, you are in Morocco, enjoy!
