H10 Raco Del Pi

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days in November and were really pleased with it. We chose this hotel from other reviews that had been posted and were not disappointed. Location was excellent, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was very good, clean and very quiet. Room cleaned and towels changed every day if required. We stayed in this hotel for 3 superb days early in november. Our budget stopped us booking a 5 star hotel (as usual!) but this one looked really nice from the picture and cost us £70 a night. On arrival we were greated by a very friendly spanish guy who offered us a glass of Cava before showing us to our room. Stayed here for 3 nights from 31st Oct. 2005. Having read the reviews on TripAdvisor before we went we were expecting a good hotel but it was even more than we could have hoped for. Location is outstanding. It is a few hundreds yards from Las Ramblas in the Barrio Gothica, and yet the street is extremely quiet at night. Some of the narrow, quieter streets can be somewhat intimidating and look at bit dodgy after 10pm but Del Pi is well lit and safe, with a beautiful square of the same name. Stayed at this hotel for a week in the last week of august 2005. The weather was hot outside but not unbearable, and I am from canada. the room was good, cleaned daily, however after 1 week was starting to feel a little small (which I am sure isnot unusual as the room was small to begin with!), Mater of factly it made us want to go out and explore even more (which is good). We stayed in this hotel for three nights in October. The location was superb - just a few minutes walk from las Ramblas, a 20 minute walk from the train station. The hotel was on a quiet street so we were still able to have a peaceful nights sleep every night. The breakfast was like a banquet and staff could not have been more helpful. The rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

My wife, 14 month old son and I have just returned from a three day break In Barcelona, which was our first. For this reason I wanted the best hotel possible and started at the top of the list and worked my way down. Stayed here for 3 nights in Sept. 2005. Location is outstanding, in the Barrio Gothica, and quiet at night. Reasonable walk from Placa Catalunya if you do not get there by cab and don't have xs luggage, though I'd use a local map to find. The room was small but nicely appointed, with fine bathroom and tub/shower. Problem with water main break 1 night, but they said it would be fixed in 2 hours, and waddya know, it was true. Del pi Hotel was in a super position and although pricey was well worth it. We could walk to most of the attractions and because it was so central we could pop in to drop things off on our way past. We were bed only but there were severl little cafes near by for breakfast. I believe there are some better deals if you book early which includes breakfast but at 14 euros extra we thought it was rather high as in the cafes near by we paid around 4-6 euros for 2. Fantastic location. You can take the extremely reasonably priced airport shuttle bus to Placa de Catalunya in Barcelona centre then walk with your luggage straight down the street to the hotel. About a 10 - 15 minute leisurely walk along a main shopping street. You're perfectly placed for getting around at this hotel. There's also a few bars and eating places close to hand so the streets are quite busy after dark making you feel that little bit safer. The hotel is as pleasant as everyone has said here. My wife and I stayed here for a night before going on a cruise. The staff (particularly Ana and Roberto) was polite and helpful. This hotel is in a great location near shopping and Las Ramblas. It was also very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend it.
