Rooms are v ery basic, could do with a refurb, new beds wouldn,t go a miss.
When you arrive you are presented withe option to buy Air Con, about £100 which i thought should have been in with the cost of the holiday.

our 1st time in turkey and emre appts was wicked took few days for people to talk but after that was brill , appts are basic but is the same where ever you go defo deserves a 3* rating staff all amazing and is a short walk to shops n beach loved it will be back next year... more

Brilliant Location from Helen005
I stayed at the Emre apartments the first two weeks in September 2007. This is the best apartment I have stayed in since first going to Altinkum 3 years ago. The Emre is situated 5 minute walk to the beach and only a 10 minute walk to the main roundabout by Dolphin Square. The only problem of the location was that it is situated on the bend of a busy road, as soon as you walk out the front of the apartments there is no foot pavement and the cars do tend to speed right up to the bend. The apartment we had was on the 4th floor, there is a lift so no problems there, the room was ideal for what we wanted, it was clean and plenty of cupbored space. As there were 3 of us in a one bedroomed apartment, the 3rd bed was in the living area, basically a sheet throwed over the sofa! It was ok, but it was very narrow, wouldn't suit anyone carrying a bit of weight. The swimming pool area is a good sun trap with plenty of sunbeds, ideal if you like sunbathing and the swimming pool is a really good size. How close the beach is to the Emre, we spent most days on the beach as it was no effort to walk to. Altinkum is a lovely place, this was my 4th time to this resort and I will definately be returning back next summer. Just a word of warning to the ladies, take no notice of the waiters in the bars and restaurants, most of them have girlfriends and try to have a different girl every two weeks. Keep them at arms length and laugh with them, don't let them laugh at you.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the emre in august 2006,we had a excellent stay there.The staff were brilliant,they where very friendly and would do anything for you.The food was very good and cheap,even the drinks where cheap. The location of the apartments where very good and ideal,the beach was a few minutes walk away.The local shops where also a small walk away.The apartment was also pretty private,so passers by couldn't see you swimming or sunbathing. The bbq nights at the hotel where excellent,i even got involved myself by doing a dance. The where some downsides to the emre.The was a mosk at the back of the apartments,it could be heard from first sunlight.Also the accomadation was pretty basic,but we were only at the accomadation to sleep and get washed. We enjoyed ourselves that much that we are going back to the emre in september 2007 for 3 weeks.

Arrived at the Emre appartments at 5 am to be shown to what can only be described as a lower ground floor(below pool level) redundant set of appartments.The balcony was situated to the rear of the building at street level and was enclosed by a steel cage that gave the impression of being a zoo cage.The outside of our appartment which we affectionately called the "dungeon" was a maze of old cooking oil drums,broken and disused hotel equipment and opposite the hotels kitchens.Inside our appartment kitchen we werer suprised to see a full sized obviously dumped redundant fridge as well as the meagre kitchen implements.The staff could not have been less helpful when I asked to be moved to a differant appartment(preferably one above cellar level) stating that all other appartments were full and the manager was not even in the resort.Even access to use the reception phone was denied as the receptionist did not have the access code? to use the phone.Thank you to Stuart the rep who relocated us to the differant class Esra appartments after just one painful day.Cant pass comments on the other appartments at the Emre as we were never offered any but our allocated appartment was disgraceful and would have spoiled our entire holiday which would have been a shame as the resort of Altinkum is great fun.

The Emre was so friendly...from the cleaner to the bar and the chef...absolutly nothing was ever a problem. The cleaner would make shapes out of our pj's and towels on the bed! The pool was immaculate and the water sooooo cool...wish I was there now. The food by Hassan was great (good luck with the new baby to him and his wife Fatima at the end of the month) Jason, JJ, Jake and Jeff were so very friendly...who can forget the turkish nights on a Thursday???? Although the rooms were basic what more do you want from a self catering apartment?

this was a cheap holiday for our second time to turkey, previously had an excellent time so was looking forward to the same again! unfortunately as we arrived upon a quick glance the apartment looked very dated. the rooms were very basic to say the least, especially something as simple as even a plug socket near a mirror! bless my girlfriend trying to dry her hair! but all moaning apart this is little disruption to our holiday. the entire holiday was a great holiday again, being to altkinum before we had previously made excellent friends and continued to see and enjoy them again. the big problem then arrised...because myself and future wife were out away from the apartment enjoying our friends company in their bars and resturants therefore not spending our money in the hotel bar! nothing was ever said about this either by the staff or manager, but i did spend some time in the hotel bar having a cool beer....while my woman was attempting to dry her hair!every night! ha ha! so why a problem i hear you ask? the problem arises here, on our departure day we needed to keep our room on as our pick up time was 10pm. when asking if we could do this the management refused as the reason being we didnt spend enough time there! oh THEN said they didnt have room, after being told by the staff there was room! so we had to rent a room in another apartment. small inconvinence but just a small warning holiday makers, unless you spend all ur money in the emre dont plan on not upsetting ur hosts! so enjoy cos turkey is great!!! especially the kiss bar in altkinkum where the REAL eric cantona resides!!!

The best apart hotel in Turkey with a magnificent swimming pool and the friendliest of staff. This has been our best holiday so far and the third time we have visited Emre aparts. The atmosphere is superb and we extended our holiday for an extra 2 weeks this september. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the service you receive excellent. Everyone from the cleaner to kitchen and bar staff could not be any more friendlier. A perfect place to spend your holiday and a place that you will want to visit time and time again. You can relax around the pool and enjoy the sun with this friendly atmosphere and any queries that you may have are dealt with without any problems. The hotel is also family friendly and has a safe and clean childrens pool close to the sunbeds so you can relax back and watch your children enjoy themselves. A must for all age groups, the best holiday in Altinkum you will ever have!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone at Emre, thanks to the owners Songul and Selahattin, Mehmet the best turkish dancer, Jay Jay and Hasan best barstaff, for the nicest turkish food Hasan and mustafa, for keeping our room spotless Fadima,umut and sevda and the owners sons Emre and Cemre. ps. Emre you will never learn how to play pool.

i was there with my daughter in may 2005 and they made us so wecome it was like being home from home i would go there again. the staff were so helpful and friendly. the apartments were so clean the staff couldnt do enough for you i will be going back there again .corinne tasha

We went to the Emre with friends on their recomendation for the first time last year 2004 for our Honeymoon.We were slightly dubious that it would live up to the high praise.However we wern't disappointed.The service was both extremely friendly and efficiant with lovely food and clean and well kept aprtments.The location of the Emre was ideal as it was a couple of minutes stroll to the beach and all the bazaars and shops and restaurants.We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked up for the same holiday again this year, back for more sun and fun in August.If its as good as it was in 2004 we will be back yet again in 2006!

What can we say over this place FANTASTIC the onwers , the staff could not have done any more for my 3 year old daughter , my wife and myself i have told alot of people about the apartments already we had such a brill time . There was also a good mix of age aswell which was nice to see they cater for everyone . many many thanks for making our holiday so so special . Stayed at the emre for the 1st time last august had a great time going again this year, and have already booked for next year. Not too close to dolphin square (about a 10 min walk) so you can get a good nights sleep.Great staff basic rooms but cleaned nearly every day food in hotel lovely (most things cheaper than in the resort).Pool gets the sun all day and is very children friendly.You are made to feel like one of the family.Looking forward to staying at the emre for many years to come.
