Emre Apartments

Rooms are v ery basic, could do with a refurb, new beds wouldn,t go a miss.
When you arrive you are presented withe option to buy Air Con, about £100 which i thought should have been in with the cost of the holiday.

My husband and i just wanted a cheap no frills holiday, and thats basically what we got. I read the reviews of this hotel before we went and thought what have we let ourselves into. On arrival dispite being early hours of the morning there was someone at the hotel waiting on our arrivel and took our suit cases and shoewed us to our room. I was dreading what we was about to face but it was clean and respecable, with all the basics you would need to wash, cook and sleep. If you want your room cleaned then you have to leave your key for the cleaners, if you dont you dont get your room cleaned which i think is fair enough.
The people who own the hotel work there every day as it is a family run business, i found they are polite if you are polite to them. They all are very hard working people and are willing to help you if they can.
Its a nice quite hotel for relaxing by the pool or just wanting a drink at the bar, the local supermarket is over the road and everywhere inc the beach is only a 5min walk away, so its not to far to return if you get fed up with shopping etc.
I wouldn't take what people write on here literally as you have to go and experience it for yourself. I would gladly go back there tomorrow and stay in the same hotel. Its up to you how you want your hoilday to be!!!!!!
I would also like to add the owners are not rude what so ever, we had a late flight and we had to be out of our room by 12pm so that the cleaners can give it a good clean for the next arrivals. We had a safe place to keep our suit cases and was allowed to use the bar, resturant and pool all day. The owner offered us a complimentry room for a shower to freshen up before we left with was very appriciative by us. They are also there when you are leaving to help again with your cases and to say farewell to you.
We had a lovely time and would like to thank all the staff and great people we met on our stay in Emre hotel, Altinkum Turkey xxxx

our 1st time in turkey and emre appts was wicked took few days for people to talk but after that was brill , appts are basic but is the same where ever you go defo deserves a 3* rating staff all amazing and is a short walk to shops n beach loved it will be back next year hopefuly for 4 weeks, thanks to all the staff had a wicked time c u soon : ) love abs xxxxxx

What a lovely time we had again at the emre, this is our 3rd time and we were like family
we were hugged and asked how we were they remember our childrens name which was amazing . the rooms are basic but comfy ,the food was just great turkish night is such fun
This family run hotel is the best and we will be back next year to meet our friends Songul
selo emre gemre hassin hassin chef and his wife and son and the cleaner, thank you for giving us such great holidays see you next year .

Fourth time back and it just gets better,great atmosphere,great staff (from the cleaners,the cook,the waiters -everyone).Yes the rooms are basic,but very clean.The bar/restaurant area is excellent and the pool area must be the best in the area.Just sit at the bar and you will soon meet some very nice people,the atmosphere is that good.You normally find that most people will book to go again,indeed we have made friends and kept in touch for a number of years.
What can i say about the Hotel staff,they are all first class and will all go out of their way to make for a memorable holiday.
As for the owners Selhatin and Songul (not sure the spelling is right),well bit of a disaster this year,my 11 year old son was taken ill.No problem they called a doctor,he came and thought the problem may be an appendicites.As you can imagine,time to worry.An ambulance was called,the staff helped to carry my son out,i was just about to leave in the ambulance when Selhatin (the owner) approached me,he offered reassurance and followed us to the hospital.As you can imagine,we were very worried and not speaking any Turkish was a nightmare.Selhatin arrived and began to translate,he even paid any money that was required out of his own pocket.A first class genuine man.Our worst fears were about to come true and we had to go to the hospital in Kusadasi,this is a journey of about 90 minutes.Selhatin drove us to the hospital and stayed with us while the diagnosis was confirmed.He again paid money out of his own pocket,ensured that we had food and water and stayed with us.I had to remain in the hospital with my son and Selhatin then went back to the Emre taking my wife back (we had friends there).He must have given up to ten hours of his own time (staying with us and driving us to and returning from the hospital).My son and i stayed in the hospital for a few days and Selhatin phoned on numerous occasions in order to ensure that all our requirements were met.Anyway eventually we returned to the hotel to carry on and were,as always well cared for.When i settled up with Selhatin for what he paid out,i couldn't believe what i paid - next to nothing.They are all first class people at this hotel,if disaster does strike,you will not be on your own,you are treated as they would treat their own family.Can't say much more,but this story had to be told.See you next year and thanks to Selhatin,Songul,JJ,Hassan 1 &2,Eren,Emre and the maids.All the staff - if i've missed anyone out........................Nig,Deb,Matt and Joe.

Yet another wonderfull holiday at the emre 5th now .As per usual all the staff are as friendlyas ever nothing to much trouble for them rooms clean beds clean changed regualary all the staff from the bar to the house maids and owners make you feel like you are at home. The emre is located in an ideal position for couples and familys alike not to close to dolphin square but only a 5 min walk if you want to go there . Not long came back from Altinkum, to be honest, we didnt want to go home at all. We enjoyed the holiday so much and alot of it was down to the staff at the Emre Hotel. Selehattin and Songul ( the owners ) make the holiday aswell as Eren, Emre and Hassan. We really didn't want to go home as they are the friendliest people you could meet. At the end of the holiday, they all come out and wave you off. To be honest that made our holiday. Fair enough the rooms are basic, but they are kept clean and do you for the holiday. We went to the Emre 3 years ago and it is the first place we have ever been back any where, we have thoroughly enjoyed it both times! Cant wait to go back next year. Looking forward to seeing them all again (p.s looking forward to seeing J.J back next year too). Thanks so much for our holiday.

Not long came back from Altinkum. To be honest we didnt want to leave the resort or the hotel! Us lot were there 3 year ago and its the first time we have ever been back somewhere as we thoroughly enjoyed it both times. The rooms are basic but there very clean and tidy. The staff were amazing with us, we became very good friends with them,we really didnt want to leave. Selehattin and Songul (the owners) are really nice people and made us feel very comfortable in the accomidation. The best thing about the hotel is that everyone in the hotel gets on and everyone knows each other by the end of the holiday....its great fun. You can have a really good laugh with any of the staff. If you didnt think that the staff were friendly then i really dont know where you were staying, they all make you feel right at home. We cant wait to go back next year. Best holiday weve been on.
