The hotel is in a fabulous position overlooking the bay and Kos. All rooms have sea views, air con and a fridge. They are clean and spacious with a good balcony with table and chairs. There are lifts to all floors and steps (but not too many). The pools are good but the amount of sun beds was disappointing. Had to be up at the crack of dawn to get one.
The bottom pool had just 10 and the top pool 30. This for a hotel with 175 rooms!! There were beds on the beach but this was noisy with music from the beach bar. Breakfast was good. We ate in yahsi at viras. The food was excellent and Victoria and Mustafa were really friendly. They'll make you very welcome.

Had a lovely 2 weeks at the Lighthouse Hotel, the hotel is superb a lot better than I had previously expected. There are a lot of stairs but if you don’t want to use them you can use the glass lift instead the views are fantastic.
Our rep was very helpful giving tips of where to go and what to do which made us more relaxed. Yahsi beach is only a short walk away with a few shops and restaurants. Most of the restaurants cater mainly for Turkish customers the one we found to cater for everyone was Vira's, Fantastic food, Staff are lovely, and the place is clean! Be aware of the first restaurant Jimmys, he is friendly but the food is as shabby as the restaurant we only ate there once and realised why he tried to ply us with wine first.
Take a boat trip, visit Bodrum and if you have a two week holiday then try a trip to Pamukale/Ephesus. It’s a long way to go but definitely worth it.

This hotel is in a fantastic place only a short walk from the village, along the beach and an unmade path (ladies do not take high heel shoes and take a torch). In the village there are a number of eating places. (We ate in Jimmy’s and it was ok great for lunch). There are also a few shops and a great barbers which did the old fashion shave for about 10 lire.
The local bus stops outside the hotel for Bodrum and runs every half an hour and takes about three quarters of an hour to get to town. It cost about 2.25 lire.
The hotel has two pool and although they added extra sun beds when we were there, they are still hard to get. Please note the decking around the lower pool gives you bad splitters so wear shoes. The beach bar was expensive compared to the village and they played loud music which stopped us sitting on the beach.
The Turkish bath, hairdressers etc in the hotel are not open. The food got better as the days went on with pasta or a hot sweet cooked while you waited and a Barbie outside cooking meat or fish. The breakfast was nice with an omlette or pancake cook.
The entertainment in the hotel is very poor. All the staff are very friendly and love kids.
We had a great holiday and would go back.

All rooms have stunning views on the bay, the hotel is always clean, has 2 outdoor and 1 indoor swimming pools, it's a big hotel with about 6 levels. You can take your breakfast outside looking at the beach below... The staff are friendly and helpful. It's near restaurants on Yashi Beach which are not expensive (don't go to the first one : Jimmy's) as well as some shops.
You are 30 minutes from Bodrum by dolmus (mini bus). Last week we couldn't use the hamam / sauna / Turkish baths as they were repairing them. You can lie down on a free sun bed by one of the pools or on the private sandy beach. Calm and quiet atmosphere. If you want more bars and clubs, go to Gumbet near Bodrum.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends! Excellent value for money. Thomas Cook is ok but the hotel representative is not very nice and comes to the hotel only 15-30 minutes a day.

I have just returned from a holiday at the Lighthouse hotel with my sister, which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was the first week of the season so a bit quiet, but we didn't mind that, the following week there were a few more people about. Our select room faced the sea as did all rooms, we had a hair dryer and fridge which I wasn't expecting. The rooms were kept spotless as was the rest of the hotel.
We paid £5 extra for HB which was well worth it, if you didn't it was £10. A very good choice of starters and sweets, but not so many main course choices, but we enjoy local food. All the staff are very friendly and want to help you. You can get about easily by dolmus. The bus station at Yashi beach has lots of buses. To get there you need to leave the hotel at the beach steps and keep walking left along the prom for about 15 mins.
Some buses leave the front of the hotel, but you have more choice at Yashi beach bus station. There are free towels to use on the beach which has plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. A pair of beach shoes may be a good thing to bring for going in the water. On the beach also there is a nice cafe where we used to have lunch if we stayed in, but also there is music, but not too loud.
Our only gripe was quite a few steps at the hotel, but they do have 4 lifts to use, also it is not wheel chair friendly. They do have plenty of ramps, but some are very steep. But apart from this we really did enjoy it.

When first arriving at the hotel we were surprised just how good the hotel looked it was immaculate with fantastic views across the bay. As it was the first week of opening there was a few teething problems with leaking taps etc but as soon as you told reception they would be fixed straight away.
Our rep was lovely but not knowing the area very well she couldn’t give us much information on where to go or eat. The only complaints we had was the food wasn’t of 4* quality which is a shame because everything else about the hotel is lovely. There’s not much to do on Camel Beach but Yahsi is just a short walk away. With only a few restaurants open as it was early season we sometimes found ourselves stuck for places to go.
We found a lovely restaurant called Vira's the food was fantastic and all the staff made us feel very welcome. Price wise it was a little bit more expensive than other restaurants but when you looked at what you get, the quality and quantity beats the others by far. It was definitely worth paying those few pence extra. Try there special Vira's Kebab it's lovely.
We tried a few other restaurants Kosem which serves traditional Turkish mezes and fish dishes which was lovely. Be warned! Don’t go to Jimmy's the food was barely edible he tries to buy your custom with free wine etc but everything seems to be fried in the same oil it wasn't pleasant at all. Ask to see the kitchen and you will understand what we mean.

Great position and very clean, food such as we had was ok. However despite being open for a year this hotel is not finished and many of its facilities are not available. Building work is not intrusive or noisy but the lack of facilities as advertised is misleading and disappointing. Also several rooms had leaks (including ours, from the toilet cistern) or non-draining baths.
The management have taken to confiscating (and returning on check-out) any food or drink from rooms if not purchased from hotel. Of course this is over the top, but their actions could maybe be understood if there was a shop in the hotel - of course there isn't.
First Choice (or their rep) have a deal (commission?) with Vira's restaurant along Yahsi beach. Good food etc, but they charge half as much again as other lokantas who serve equally good food. Try Jimmie's, the first one as you come from the lighthouse.

This hotel, on arrival, first impressions were of a hotel which was more like a hovel than a hotel, the room we were allocated was dirty, bed linen was stained, and it was infested with ants.
I have been to Turkey on numerous occasions previous to this and I have NEVER been in a hotel as dirty as this. We stayed 1 night and then moved elsewhere which we paid for ourselves. My advice to anyone thinking of going to this hotel is quite simple DON'T!!!! Oh and the rep was not in the least interested in our complaints.
I would never book with Goldtrail again.

When we arrived at our hotel we was pleasantly surprised, we was welcomed by friendly, attentive staff they couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms where lovely, very modern and clean and the view is out of this world. The only thing i would recommend is that you don't drink to many bottles of wine they are very expensive in the hotel.
After a few days we decided to explore what was around us. There’s not much on Camel Beach where the hotel is situated other than the Camels. But if you come out of the hotel and turn left you will come across Yahsi. This pretty little bay has a lot to offer. With its restaurants, bars, shops and long promenade is great for leisurely walks. We spent many an evening in Yahsi and we found a fantastic restaurant called VIRA'S "Taste the Difference" which is owned by an English girl called Victoria and her husband Mustafa.
It is way above the rest, all the staff are friendly and the food is just as good as you would get back home. They have something for everyone and if there’s anything you would rather have they will do it for you, nothing is too much trouble. There really is a difference the food is great. We could not of wished for a better holiday.

This is a lovely hotel in wonderful settings beach is clean and
Has free sun beds with free beach towels.
We stayed here as one of its first guests since opening this year, but I can recommend it for its rooms, staff and food.
We didn’t book for evening meals but found out it was just 6.00 to eat in and the buffet was brilliant. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and are very friendly. I’ve never known anywhere so clean. The setting is lovely with every room looking out to sea. Not much night life there but perhaps it is better if you go a bit early. We had Turkish night once a week in hotel. The little promenade had a few bars but nothing lively however I think the resort will eventually get better over the next couple of years, nice at the moment for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday away from it all. You can get to Betiz by bus which is more lively and also not far from Gumbet and Bodrum. Buses are very easy to get from outside the hotels.
They seen to do all prices in euro and English ten pounds.
I would recommend this hotel and cant wait to go back.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this hotel, this is a super hotel, spotlessly clean, excellently located, nice and quiet, we would recommend this hotel to anyone. But be warned the food is the only draw back, lacks variety, and is in our opinion not up to the standard of the hotel, we booked half board, a mistake, B&B is the answer.
A short walk to the left around the headland to Yashi 5mins allows you to choose from numerous good quality restaurants. The best we feel is Zaphira (Jimmy’s) run buy Kudret a real nice guy, all you can eat and drink as a couple for 40 Turkish Lira £16.oo how bad is that.
Beaches good, Aegean Sea is as clean as you would like and on the hotel beach is good sand and safe for kiddies. Go there and have a super time. We are going back again.
