If you are paying under £200.00 / week then i would say go. Anything over that and you are better off looking elswhere in Yashi / Ortakent. Dont expect to eat in the hotel - because the food is truly horrible. We saw waiters scrape un eaten and half eaten food back onto... more

On booking our holiday we were a little apprehensive after reading varying reviews. When we arrived we at Bodrum airport we were transferred from our main coach to a smaller bus with a driver who didn't know his way around the resort. Therefore our transfer took longer than... more

We were dreading our holiday after reading the adverse feedback on the hotel, it wouldnt have taken very much for us to have cancelled the holiday, but we went with the intention of making the best of it and if it was that bad we would have booked into another hotel. But... more

The worst place I have ever seen, it does not deserve a 1 rating and should be removed from all travels agents recommendations. Absolutely horrendous, arrived first night to a "family room" consisting of 1 double bed and 1 half single, there were 4 of us Assured when... more

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Our bathroom was flooded and the fridge didn't work. The food was awful and we had to eat dry bread for three days, as there was no butter. There was no where inside to sit and the only comfortable seats were in the... more

dont bother
we as a family have just returned, the rooms were a health hazard, the hot food was cold, we went with kosmar and the rep was only there by appointment. when my daughter stood on smashed glass needing 5 stitches by the pool side we found this very frustrating & unhelpfull. most of the guests who stayed there were sick and had diarrhoea witch is no suprise when you see the meat arriving uncovered and full of flies (photos to follow)
dramatic
I'm so dissapointed. The room is terrible. Everything dirty. The travel agency, KARTAGO TOURS untrue. NEVER MORE !!!
Disappointed
The standard of accomodation was basic, as we had expected, for the star rating and the price we had paid, however it had everything we required and was very clean. The staff in the restaurants and bars could not have been more welcoming and willing to please. Unfortunately we had arrived 3 weeks before the end of their season and the management had already decided that it was over! One of the swimming pools had been closed, together with the pool bar. The chef was obviously using up all his leftovers, the food lacked variety and quality. On a number of mornings there was no butter. For a number of days the electrically heated soup container gave off an electric shock when using the soup ladle to serve yourself - the remedy for this was to unplug it, consequently the soup was, more often than not, luke warm. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, certainly not towards the end of the season, because if this is your only holiday you deserve better than this.
Nice resort,shame about the hotel
no selection of food, mainly cold, and sometimes undercooked, especially off the bbq. awful entertainment and music. water from taps and shower was salt water.because we wouldnt move rooms three days before coming home ,our tv was cut off and on our last day the electricity was cut off. thank god for jimmys for adecent meal and drinks. a very nice resort but wouldnt like to be there in high season.
Hated it
Arrived 5.30am couldn't even get a cup of coffee...... even 3star place should be able to offer you this. Cleanliness........ Poor had to remember NOT to tidy your bed or your sheets wouldn't be changed and you had to chase room staff for towels or toilet rolls. Facilities ...... pools nice but spoilt by the fact that on the second week one pool closed and the resident cats were allowed to use the pool area as a toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rooms ........ Basic, TV could only get one English channel BBC News. Bars OK but the all inclusive, drink all you want for free, isn't quite what you think. Don't go to bar at 10.55 thinking you're going to get a cple of drinks each doesn't work like that. When we arrived had two bars, one for quiet drinks after 9pm other the Disco bar then Disco bar closed so the quiet bar became Disco bar so you had to listen to whatever crap the DJs decided to play. Restaurant ...... pathetic, staff friendly enough. Food went from just OK first week to absolute rubbish second week. Wife spent 3 days in hospital with acute gastroenteritis. ( We stopped eating in restaurant and had all our meals out, Vira's and Jimmys just up the beach from hotel were a godsend) Entertainment............ Cple of nights we had Turkish entertainment which was good. Though once was enough. Every other night it was the resident DJs !!!!!!!!!!! They were rubbish.......... late night shows started at 10pm or more precisely about 10.30pm because it took them so long to sort themselves out. They're contribution to daytime entertainment seemed to consist of putting a cd on repeat and then going and doing whatever took their fancy. Overall the experience was not one to be repeated. My Wife myself and my mother in law couldn't wait to leave and get home. This view was held by 4 other families who were there with us. Hated it, wouldn't go back there if you paid me.
Fawlty Towers
Just returned from The Petunya The rooms were one worse than the other Several guest changed rooms several times olny to get one someone else had complained about. The food was luke-warm to cold. We ate out a lot of the time we were there which we have never ever done when we have stayed at other all inclusive hotels.5 days there was NO butter and when there was it was rancid and uneatable. We were kept awake with the sound of disco music till 3'oclock and then the discoers yelled and shouted back to there rooms .When we complained no one understood English. Cleanliness and hygiene were unheard of although sheets and towels were changed often. Wish I had something more possiive to say but I'm afraid I havent Writing to Thomas Cook now
bar was good
The rooms were average, cleaned regularly, but only had one change of towels and sheets for the week. The food was very basic, always a meat in a tomato based sauce, rice and salad with fresh bread. luckily there was a great restaurant close by called 'Viras'. The season was almost over when we were there so there was no evening entertainment, with the exception of one night when we had a belly dancer and some Turkish folk dancers come in, which were very good. If it wasn't a last minute getaway and it was our main holiday we would have asked to be moved. The bar was the only good thing about the hotel, the staff were fantastic and always knew what you were drinking, sometimes creating new cocktails for you.
geordies in turkey
A group of two married couples and a couple of kids. Rooms were very very clean and cleaned on a daily basis. Food ok if you like Turkish way of life. Don't cater for the English in terms of meals very well but the kids liked the free burger and chips during the day which was also handy for us adults. The pool was right next to the beach which meant if the kids wanted to wonder off by themselves we could see them quite clearly and where they were. Entertainment was ok during the day which included Volleyball, water polo and Darts like you have never played before (a real fun element to it and the winner is crowned like a real champ). The staff were good especially as by the end of my holiday i was called vodka n coke by most of them. All in all a great holiday even though there wasn't many english. Put it this way, we're going back this year.
Great location
I have been to this Hotel although not recently (about 3 years ago) but I thought I would just confirm what the previous reviewer said about the location. This hotel is right on the beach and has fantastic sea views from the pool area.Good beach too with water sports available just outside the hotel. The food at the hotel was pretty poor when we were there but there were a few other restaurants in Ortakent and some very good ones in nearby Gumbet. The rooms were of a good size & standard (for a 3*) and the grounds and gardens beautiful.
right on beach
stayed here twice and will be back for more good quality 3 star all inclusive great service great position
