The Hotel was pritty basic! 2 single beds, bathroom and lots of mirrors(which i liked)! its pool was nice but quite small. but as we did not spend much time there it didnt matter!
it was very near gumbets lively centre with the shops, resturants and the bubbly night life and in the opposite direction the beach which had lots of hotels and bars spread out along it!
the beach was lovely it gave you aa nice breaze for when you were sunbathing so that it was at a comfortable heat! it also had a funny man that walked aqlong it everyday going ban-na-na water-melon pine-apple vi-ag-ra! so funny!
the centre of gumbet is amazing! especially at night! at about 10 when you first went out on the night you would see the lit up centre! you would go in the family pubs first eg. roxy's, smileys, chico's and corner bar. later on you would go onto the clubs eg. X-BAR, tropicana, shakers, shamrocks, central bar and many more. and then if you were a real party animal like me, when that all closed at 5am you would go onto club escape! which you could party in till 8am in the morning! after that you can either go back to your hotel and get some sleep or do what we did and go straight and get some breakfast!
i give a big shout out to the roxy boys eg. Dogan(CJ), Chris, Selim(spider2), Ali(spider1) and all the others that work there i love you all!
i am officially addicted to gumbet, turkey. see you all soon my honeys in gumbet!

We had a lovely time in Gumbet and some of that was down to the hotel.
It's ideally located, approx 100m to beach and the is in the centre but without any of the noise!
Room was a good size, clean bathroom, huge balcony, but think that may just have been a couple of rooms!
Downsides - We weren't booked in for our first night, but were given a room in Colossus next door. Says is 4 star but Serhan was actually better!
For the money you pay you get good quality and good service.
We have fallen in love with Gumbet and are going back again next year. Really would recommend going here. Loads of places to go for a good night out, lots of restaurants etc Despite what other people have said we found it reasonable and friendly.

Excellent hotel, pool was lovely and child friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Rooms were always cleaned really well and within one hour of our stay there, they put a cot into our room for daughter.
I would definitely go back to this hotel, all staff were really friendly. It’s so close to everything and practically right on the beach. Recommended.

Well what can I say about the Serhan Hotel - there is only one word that I can use - EXCELLENT !!
The Serhan is a moderate size hotel approx 150 yards from Gumbet beach and about the same to the main shops and restaurants. It's far enough away from the noisy bits so that you can get some sleep, but close enough so that you don't have to walk miles to reach what you need. The rooms are quite large and were kept very clean, good showers, huge beds, double glazed windows if you want to sleep during the day, the air conditioners work brilliantly and they are FREE (unlike others hotels I could mention).
The pool is large enough, and goes from 1.2m to 1.8m in depth, there is a separate sectioned off kiddies pool with a safety barrier. Breakfast is typical Turkish (bread, cheese, salad and cereals, jams etc) and was always nice. We stayed on a B&B basis and ate in the evening from the hotels menu at additional cost. The meals are HUGE, very tasty and are served quickly throughout the day, the pricing is good too, thanks to Robert who runs the kitchens - he also has an excellent cafe in Bodrum that you must visit (I will locate the name soon).
The manager Ismail is an excellent individual and was very helpful at all times, he works long hours to make sure you're happy, a truly great guy! The waiters/bar staff are all brilliant, so thanks to Ozzy, Kevin, Cris, Erhan and the others - you guys are first class, and you play a mean game of football!
GUMBET - I read so many reviews regarding Gumbet, people complaining about no English food, or hassled when shopping or going out to eat. If you want British food - stay in Britain! I'm a vegetarian and I got on okay. Yes they hassle you but it's all quite friendly really, they only have 6 months remember to make enough money to last them the other 6, once the end of October comes, Gumbet becomes a ghost town, no-one really lives there, it's purely a tourist resort like Blackpool. A polite no will always suffice, there is no need to be rude.
EATING OUT - I cannot recommend highly enough China Town on the main Gumbet street, excellent food, excellent pricing - a big hello to Mertin Simsek he will look after you very well.
In a nutshell I loved the Serhan Hotel, go there, be relaxed and you will have the time of your life.

A good location. Very attentive staff. Cleanliness of the rooms was excellent.
The big No-No was the food or lack of it at times. On Sept 12th, at breakfast (times 8 till 10) at 8.30 there were no cornflakes, coffee, cutlery, fruit juice, milk nor omelette.
On Sept 14th there was no milk, plates, cornflakes and the cups were dirty and disgusting.
Also the food is laid out in the open with no protective coverings except for the omelettes. The flies have a great time crawling over the food.
The chef has no idea, in the evening it is rice or cous cous with everything. Fortunately there several good restaurants close by.
OK for a base if it is just room only.

We found the food lovely whether we ate the set meal (half board) or ordered from their additional menu. The staff are the BEST (charlie is brill!), they can not do enough for you. Thank you all for making our stay special!!
Situated within 2 minutes walk of beach and nite life, but far enough away to not disturb a good nights kip (bars open 24hrs so can get bit noisy if nearer)!
Cannot wait to go back to Turkey and the Serhan in May 2010, met some really nice people!
Love Vinny & Eve (Manchester)
Advice: A lovely lovely place, didnt leave Gumbet as so much to do and see in the week, defo gotta go bak!
