H10 Itaca Hotel

We stayed here 4 nights in early March 2005. The hotel staff are friendly & helpful & the hotel is excellently located in a much quieter area of Barcelona. It's only 5mins from Sants station which has overground trains to the airport & metro connections which take you either to the Rambla or Sagrada Familia directly, very convenient indeed. Next door is a supermarket where you can get your daily water and also cheap beer (1.87 Euros for 6 San Migel). Shower water temperture can be a little unpredictable but not a massive issue. Back to work today having returned last night from a lovely break in Barcelona. My husband and I stayed at H10 Itaca hotel from Thur afternoon to yesterday morning (Monday). We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our first impressions were positive from the friendly courteous staff to the complimentary glass of cava and tray of mixed nuts at reception! Staff, Rooms, Food, all of a very high standard. Very handy for travel, being close to Sants Station.

Just returned from a week stay. Greeted with cava at check-in. Our room was on the 7th floor, non-smoking. Extremely clean and comfortable; the bathroom was very large compared to some we've stayed in. We appreciated a note left in the room from the general manager offering any assistance if needed. Also had a package of cookies left with the note. Very thoughtful touches! The front desk ordered a taxi for us to return to the airport as we needed to be there at 6:00 am. This hotel was absolutely PERFECT!! Was given a very warm welcome when we arrived on a sunny afternoon. The hotel room was just as promised, lovely wooden floors, beautiful dark furniture, mini bar which was reasonably priced and a very comfortable bed, along with a marbled bathroom which was very spacious! I have got to say I thought the hotel was excellent, rooms we're to a great standard and bathroom was lovely. The hotel staff we're very friendly and happy to help with any troubles/queries me and my partner had. Breakfast had a wide range of yummy things to choose from, so couldn't fault breakfast in anyway. Only let down to the hotel was the location, was about a 5 min walk to the metro station, and then about a 10 min trip into central Barcelona. But maybe thats just me being fussy. I can understand the great reviews received by this hotel, however... My wife and I went along in January, after booking online. When we arrived, we were received well and offered complimentary Cava which was nice. It was a warm day and I was glad to eventually arrive. We went up to our room but as soon as we opened the door I was greated by a very hot room! Probably the best hotel I ever stayed at. Stayed there for 3 nights from New Years Day and really enjoyed it. Staff were extremely friendly, rooms were nice and clean, location is absolutely perfect and breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay there again!!

Stayed for seven days, just before Christmas (Dec 2004). Very pleasant hotel, and very well located: short walking distance from major train station (“Sants” – trains to/from the airport stop here, as well as 2 major Metro lines and several suburb lines). We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and its close proximity to the train station and underground made up for the fact that it is located out of the centre of town. There is a grocery store right next to it where cheap bottled water and other essentials can be easily acquired. This hotel may not look that amazing from the outside, and has a fairly modest lobby, but the rooms were of a high standard, all air-conditioned and comfortable.
