My partner and I went to St James for our friends wedding, who were all staying at the Almond Beach resort. This was across the road, so we were perfectly situated.
There is a pool just outside the block of approx. 15 apartments which is ideal for catching the sun or for a quick dip without having to lock your door!
I was told by a couple who had come back for a second time that the complex had been re-furbished and the pool was new.
The rooms were cleaned daily and were perfect for a self catering holiday, small kitchen area, dining table and living space. The staff are very friendly and so are the locals.
After hiring a car I realised that Sunset crest was perfectly placed on the island in Holetown. There are duty free shops close by, along with some of the best beach side restaurants! The beaches on the West coast are the best on the island and are just 2 minutes walk away. Walk for 10 mins or take the bus for 50p and go down the coast to Paynes Bay and snorkel / swim with the turtles!
If you’re thinking about getting married here, the wedding day was brilliant, in the very romantic setting of the Almond Village Sugar Mill and included champagne on the beach watching the sunset!
If you are after a cheap, but clean accommodation, white beaches, clear warm seas and relaxation, this is the place to be! I will be going back!
