Excellent modern accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Maid came in every day, sheets and towels changed every other day. Beautifully kept garden area. Pool spacious and clean plenty of beds and brollies, no need to reserve one early. Bar area very clean and staff very helpful... more

We stayed at the Cats Gardens this June and could not fault it. Our first sight of the Apartments was from the road behind which gives the completely wrong impression. Once we got to the entrance we were completely happy with our choice of apartments a view which only got better as the fortnight went on. As other reviews have said the apartments are spotlessly clean and the staff cnnot do enough to help, all except Mahmut & Ekrem. Ekrem only started work here two days into our holiday but him & Mahmut were not only staff but became our friends during our stay. These two guy's are a credit to themselves and I hope will be freinds for life even if we do not meet again. The apartments a a little out of town but it is easy to get their, either a 15 minute wak or a Dolmus from just down the road & a train into town, you will know what I mean by train once you discover it. Restaurants in the area are cheaper than in town in particular Mahmets in the Ruins (both of them, other reviews dont mention this) and the Apollo but it is nice to go into town and watch the sun go down over the sea and the turtlles popping thier heads up. Anyway thank you again to our friends at the Cats Catty Gardens

Although, we live in Turkey, we holiday often in different resorts and were pleasantly surprised at how good The Cats garden is. We were the first guests of the season and some of the staff have changed. However all previous comments on cleanliness and friendliness still apply. The only difference I think you will see is a big change in the restaurant, the food we had was exellent yet good value. We also took your advice and tried The Restaurant in the Ruins, Mehmets, this too was very good especially as there is no silliness about getting you into it in the first place, nice people, good food and again reasonable prices. Back to the accomodation, we had a 1bedroom apartment which was nicely furnished, very spacious for its type and impecably clean. Obviously the catering facilities are minimal yet sufficient, after all you are on holiday so who wants to cook and wash up?

We have just returned from Side after a fortnight at this hotel,and it was excellent,very friendly staff(asthe title says)lovely poolside bar and restaurant,and within easy reach of the beach and shopping centres,but don,t take my word for it, try it ,you,ll love it.
I never wanted to go to Turkey... from Jemima0202
but Cats Garden has completely changed my mind and it would appear that some of my fellow guests in August have beaten me to writing a fantastic review. Given the cheap price, last min booking and the look of the area when we arrived I was a little worried but Chris & Carlos and ALL the other guys there made my husband, daughter & I VERY welcome. It's not many hotels where you would find the bar and other staff (maids excl.) allowing themselves to be thrown into the pool on a daily basis. The kids were well looked after, inflatables were available which were shared amongst both adults and kids!!! I cannot fault Cats Garden for anything, it's quite possibly one of the most friendliest places I've stayed at and all the other guests were friendly too and there was a really good atmosphere everyday. Altho' the infrequent Waterpolo games were a little competitive!!! The shopkeepers and restaurant staff can feel pushy when you venture into Side but once you get used to saying a firm No they do tend to get the message - eventually!!! Side itself is full of lovely restaurants, altho' the "Kingfisher Pub" on the street to the beach is a must!! I could go on and on but I won't bore whoever is reading this. I read a few reviews before I went and honestly didn't think that such a cheap place could be so great, I challenge anyone not to enjoy their holiday at Cats Garden - we have already vowed to return even tho' we don't usually go back to the same place twice - and I never thought I'd say that about Turkey!

My girlfiend, son and i stayed at Cats Garden for a week - our first trip to Turkey. The hotel is very clean and comfortable,maid service every day.The beach is around a 5-10 min walk, though fancying a relaxing holiday we opted to stay around the hotel pool - the beach is a bit of alet down,very busy,dirty and full of people trying to sell you rubbish. A special mention must go out to Chris and Carlos - the entertainment team they really made our holiday and are an absoloute credit to Cats Garden they kept both children and adults amused all week,nothing was too much trouble. Try the hotels turkish bath(thanks Carlos) and massage both very reasonable and possibly the best massage i have ever had(thanks chris). There is local barber shop nearby which offers gents very reasonable turkish shaves and a bar called sun castle which does very nice 2 for 1 cocktails.Side has a great harbour to have dinner or a relaxing drinkl and the Roman ruins are worth a look. Some of teh shop keepers in the town can be very pushy and practically drag you into the shops if you show the slightest interest in any of the goods they have for sale - haggle though you may get a bargain. As a rule we dont go back to a resort/hotel twice - on this occasion im sure we will return!

Stayed here for a week. Lovely clean hotel, large comfortable rooms and staff who couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Within easy reach of the Side Old Town and other areas. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

This place is just fantastic there is no other way to describe it, we stayed here for our first time in side for a week, and we will be going back next year for 2 weeks. The hotel itself is spottlessly clean with rooms cleaned daily with plenty of fresh towels and clean sheets. There is a great size swimming pool which again is spotless. Then there is the staff They are just brilliant they are very helpful and great fun, they are also brilliant with kids keeping them entertained for hours. The food is very good with plenty of choice so satisfy every taste bud and is very reasonably priced as is the beer, The local beer is called effes and is plesently refreshing in the baking heat. All in all weather its a relaxing holiday or family fun you can not do any better than Cats Gardens its Just fantastic.

we arrived at the hotel fearing the worse because of the cheap price it was to stay there,and also because of the shabby exterior that greeted us but fortunatly we couldnt of been more wrong. the hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy and with the most friendly helpful staff that i have ever encountered. I would recommend it for all ages and people with families. The food was beautiful and plentiful and nothing was too much trouble, my partner even had them make him an english breakfast which wasnt even on their menu. the location is fantastic as you are a 5 minute walk from side town and the beach. couldnt recommend it highly enough. fantastic value for money

Wonderful Time at Cats Gardens Hotel, Side, Turkey! from late-nighter
My husband and I have just returned back from Side, Turkey. We had a wonderful time for exactly the holiday we wanted. Earlier this year we went to New York and therefore we wanted a late deal bargain holiday somewhere warm. We really didn't want to go to Turkey, as we had been to Marmaris about 4 years before. Although that holiday was ok we wanted to go somewhere we had not been before. Due to restricted funds and it being near the end of season for a number of destinations we accepted to go to Side, Turkey. On arrival at Antalya Airport the transfer took about 40 minutes to an hour. The hotel was extremely clean and there were shops and other facilities around and about. Side is a lovely place, although firstly it seems to cater largely for German tourists then British tourists. Although there was no daytime entertainment, the hotel did provide some entertainment on a number of nights which we felt was enough considering the other facilities outside the hotel. The food was ok, some dishes were much better than others. All the staff were very friendly which helped us enjoy our stay here. The weather was quite warm throughout the day but got very chilly at night and I would recommend people to take warm clothes to wear in the evening at this time of year. The sun actually shined for about 6-7 hours per day! The swimming pool was in a good condition although it was quite cold, unless you swam about in it for a while. There were plenty of sunbeds to go around, although this could have been down to the hotel being under occupated, due to the time of year! The hotel also has it's own Turkish Bath in the basement of the hotel, which was excellent! I would definately recommend this hotel and Side in Turkey! We found a wonderful bar/restaurant that was the most reasonable for drinks, had really tasty food with great staff which was called the Hawaii! On leaving the resort we also found many more shops, bars and restaurants that if we had actually explored the whole area we would have found these. Although my husband and I are wanting to go to places that we have not visited before, Side would definately be on our list for one of those places to visit again at The Cats Garden Hotel!
