Just thought I would write a review...
10 / 10
May 2007, Miss AA Harrison

Just thought I would write a review to tell everyone how fantastic this place is. I have been going to this hotel in this resort for 8 years... I love it!
It is the best holiday I have ever had and still go on others although it does not compare to this.
The hotel is fabulous. It is clean and everything you need especially the family rooms. The maids also do a good job in cleaning everyday and making fancy shapes/ sculptures with towels etc which is a nice surprise when you come back in your room in the afternoon.
The pool is good and big enough to swim play games and there is a kid’s pool too. The food around the pool throughout the day is lovely and the prices are reasonable (I love the pine valley pizza).
The bar which is open all day serves a good selection of drinks for everyone. I love their fresh orange juice and milkshakes!
The waiters! What can I say? They are unbelievable. They cannot do too much for you and are very welcoming. I known a few waiters that have been there all the time we have been going and are great friends with them now including emrah and sonner.
They are entertaining but also kind and just try to make your holiday the best they can.
The hotel has well nigh entertainment and there’s something to do each night including bbq night, Turkish night, bingo night (win free holiday), pool night and karaoke. The activities are so much fun and meals are nice.
The hotel bar is great as well. In the colder months around the bar, log burners are brought out to sit around which is nice.
Now, what about the resort itself? Hisaronu is brilliant. It is around a five minute walk from the hotel to the centre of hisaronu. There is plenty to do including bars, clubs, shops and restaurants.
My favourite restaurant is castello ristarante which do fabulous steaks, other wonderful dishes and I love their chicken curry and each time we go after all these years, the waiter knows what I have and what the other people have with no mistakes.
Another restaurant that is wonderful is the drangonaro. It is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The eat as much as you like are ok but if you pay that extra bit of money, you can taste quality Chinese food.
The shops and market are good where you can get plenty of bargains.
There are plenty of activities to do in the day and the local organisations are safe. For the past years, we have been going we have gone on trips including jeep safaris (I recommend), water park, boat trips and much more with explora. They take the best jeep safari in the area and we found that out by locals and Turkish friends who live there.
The beach is good too. Fethiye is nice to walk around with the harbour and have an ice cream on the harbour.
Transport around the area is very good with taxis and dolmus buses.
Overall, the area and the hotel are fantastic. I could go on forever talking about how much I love this place.
I have been going for years and still will keep going (I am going in the summer).

Got to be said the best holiday ever....

Sep 2006, Miss C Slinn

Got to be said the best holiday ever. The staff always make an effort, and it never gets boring. The staff were all amazing.
The food is excellent, and the rooms are clean, the cleaners are lovely they made patterns on the beds using towels and put fresh flowers in your room every day.
Must recommend haggling in the shops, but you must be careful at the market as you get dragged back and forth by the locals, also don’t buy the perfume over there. I would also recommend going to the time out bar. Had a wicked time and can’t wait to go back next year.

Just back from a weeks holiday there...
10 / 10
Sep 2006, Miss L Andrews

Just back from a weeks holiday there yesterday and I have to say, what a fantastic time I had! There is just so much to do a week was not long enough, plan to go back next summer n stay for at least 10 days.
Weather was beautiful, hottest day was 40 degrees and that was September, though there is a nice breeze that comes off the mountains during the evening which is nice. I would recommend the Dalyan trip- visited the mud baths, took a beautiful boat trip and ended the day at Turtle Beach (prob the best beach we visited). The main beach in Olu Deniz is beautiful although is a stone and shingle beach, so it really hurt my feet!
If you walk past it down the road for a couple of minutes you come to Sugar beach, which I would recommend. It is free (olu deniz has a small entrance fee), and is a sand beach! The water isn’t too deep either which is perfect for children (the sea in the main beach was quite rough). I would also recommend that any excursions you plan, you plan them through your holiday rep, therefore going to your welcome meeting is a good idea.
Up the streets there are loads of locals offering excursions at wot appears to be brilliant prices, though I heard horror stories of people getting hurt on these trips. The excursions planned through the rep may be that little bit dearer, but it is much more reliable and safer. The scuba diving trip was also quite good, although scary if you are a bit nervous with water!
Also a lot of the time was spent waiting around on the boat so it was a very long day. The locals are extremely friendly and welcoming; I’ve never met friendlier, more genuine people anywhere! There are loads of bars within walking distance from the hotel, though you should definitely go to Nadias Irish bar, it is the best crack and has free pool tables!
Also has a few kittens and cats and a dog which are cute(the kids will love it) The Sports Cocktail Bar across from it is a lot cheaper however, and they do gorgeous alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails. Here too has good free pool tables.
When it comes to shopping never pay the price they first give you. Haggle haggle haggle and if you start to walk away they panic and usually just give you the item for near the price you wanted!
All in all it was a wonderful holiday, you definitely have the best of both worlds. You can have a real family orientated, relaxing holiday here, or else there are plenty of bars and a couple of clubs for a more livelier holiday!

What a fantastic, brilliant, amazing,...
10 / 10
Aug 2006, Mrs Jo Price

What a fantastic, brilliant, amazing, relaxing holiday. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed by all of the staff who were adamant that we were going to enjoy our holiday. With the likes of Ilker, the Food and Beverage Manager, and his team, Sonner, Emrah, and Sesgin, they could not fail. There were 14 of us in total, 7 children and 7 adults and they made sure that nobody was left out. Sedat, the entertainments manager ensured that anybody who wanted to join in tournaments etc., during the day had fun and then he was there again in the evening to make sure everybody was enjoying themselves.
There was a card system in place, so that if you wanted food or a drink during the day around the pool, it just got added to your bill. This meant that the children could fetch their own ice creams, drinks, snacks etc, giving them a little bit of independence. It also meant that you didn't have to take any money with you to the pool. We paid the bill off after 1 week and were pleasantly surprised at the amount. We found it to be very reasonable. We also ate at the hotel some nights and the food was lovely with a wide variety on the buffet, again at very reasonable prices.
The first night we ventured out into the town, it seemed very quiet when we left the hotel. 5 minutes later we turned a corner and there it was, the heart of Hisaronu, where you could wine, dine, dance and shop to your hearts content. The restaurants were all very obliging without being pushy. Our favourite restaurants were Tango and also The Butterfly Restaurant (beautiful view from upstairs). There are also quieter restaurants on side streets if you don't like the hustle and bustle every night.
We went on a Jeep Safari and laughed from the moment Focus Travel collected us from our Hotel until they dropped us off in the evening. They took us to some wonderful places, including a Turtle Beach, a Mud Bath, (still cleaning mud out of my ears) ha ha! An amazing Canyon and we also had a lovely lunch. Our driver was great fun, even though he couldn't speak any English, and we felt very safe. Focus Travel was the only excursion operator where we could find a jeep big enough for 14 of us. They usually seat 7-8. Don't forget your water pistols as there is usually a lot of banter from the other jeeps as you are driving along, which keeps you cool - the kids love it. If you do decide to go on this trip, make sure you wear your old clothes as you do get very dirty, but it is worth it. Brilliant day out and well worth the money.
Overall, a fantastic holiday which we will never forget Planning to go again next year.

Just to let everyone know what a...

Jun 2006, Miss C Richards

Just to let everyone know what a wonderful place and people they are at Pine Valley. Have been twice now just arrived back this morning 23/06/06 after having to 2 fantastic weeks there yet again. The hotel is amazing and the scenery is gorgeous. It is situated perfectly being just on the outskirts of the town Hisaronu but within perfect walking distance for the bars/restaurants etc. The nightlife is fantastic and the men aren't too bad either very, very friendly and drop dead gorgeous.
The staff at the hotel make you feel very, very welcome Emryn, Seskey, Sonner, Sedat and everyone else oh and not forgetting Mehmet and Stu from reception what great times we had up till 5.30 in the morning having our little chats after having a quite heavy drinking session before hand.
Favourite clubs to go to I would say is Grand Boozy, Timeout and Barumba Zombie not to bad either they tend to cater for all ages as well. Also Hustlers is great staff very funny like to enjoy themselves! Everyone is so friendly and they don't hassle you (to much) ha.
Favourite restaurants I would say is black/white for watching the sunset and the food is gorgeous. The Lemon Tree especially Charlie for the service and food and Shangai Chinese is lovely to. They are all very nice can't say a bad word about any of them in Hisaronu again very friendly service to.
Trips I would say to go with Hamish Mc Turk. Buses are all new with air conditioning and the drivers are safe drivers needing it at some of the mountains they have to climb. Very good value for money.
Pammukale- cotton castle. Sakliant Gorge are in my opinion the best trips, I’m sure your breath would be taken away once you've seen the views at both of these places.
Anyway there are lots more to say but would take me forever. 100% recommendation to go to Pine Valley Hotel Hisaronu! We will be returning again next year!

This hotel is in a quiet location...
5 / 10
Jun 2006, Boonbetty

This hotel is in a quiet location overlooking pine forests on the outskirts of Hisaronu. Unfortunately the peace was shattered on a daily basis by the incessant loud music from the pool bar. A number of guests were unhappy with this constant loud music, but the hotel management seem to think this is what holidaymakers want and blow those who would like a bit of peace and quiet for a snooze by the pool now and again.
The hotel was also quite noisy at night, although to be fair a lot of this noise came from the hotel next door, (even louder music), and from some of the guests who didn't know how to behave. The hotel could certainly benefit from better security at night to keep this type of disturbance to a minimum.
Not the hotel's fault, but the Medhotels rep failed to turn up for the welcome meeting. The next day I telephoned the contact number and another rep came out with profuse apologies but no idea at all what had happened to his colleague. One lady who traveled with Medhotels was unable to contact a rep at all and ended up moving herself to another hotel because she was so fed up with the noise in this hotel.
On the plus side this hotel was spotlessly clean and well cared for in every way. The bar/waiting/entertainment staff are absolutely charming and, at the time of our stay, there seemed to be a high proportion of staff to guests. The buffet food was excellent, well cooked and plentiful. There was entertainment of some sort every night, the two big nights being the barbecue night and the Turkish night when we were entertained by Latin American dancers and a belly dancer respectively, the same both weeks however. On other nights there was entertainment in the bar such as bingo, a quiz, pool tournament and a foam party.
Drinks are not cheap at this hotel and everything has to be charged to the room, so it would be very easy to run up a large bill without realizing it. Wine is very cheap in the shops but the cheapest bottle in the hotel is around £9/£10.00. To get this into perspective, we were told by someone who has a holiday home in Turkey that a skilled tradesman such as a plumber earns around £8.00 per day. The first thing that greets guests is a large notice saying that no food and drink is to be brought in. Also watch out for the bingo tickets which cost around £3.00 per game and the staff will sell you a book at £18.00 without telling you the price.
Hisaronu itself is a busy tourist area with lots of shops, bars and nightlife. Olu Deniz is much quieter and only a short journey by dolmus.
The weather was very hot during the day but turned chilly at night. On several occasions the bar staff lit braziers in the open air bar for us to sit round at night as a lot of people hadn't even taken a cardigan with them.
As to outings, we went on a boat trip at £5.00 per person including lunch and pick-up from the hotel, a long day but fairly relaxing. We went horse-riding through the pine forests at a cost of £13.00 per person for two hours, we really enjoyed this. We also went on a jeep safari at a cost of £15.00 per person. We did not particularly enjoy this as too much time was spent at the carpet making factory, (we hadn't been expecting that one), also cleaning the jeeps at the petrol station, and not enough time doing the things we had been expecting. We hired a car, (£27.00 per day for a Ford Focus), and explored the area. The main roads are fine but some smaller roads do end up as cart tracks without prior warning.
There is a very good sandy beach near Dalyan which is worth a visit. Olu Deniz and the blue lagoon is beautiful but don't be fooled by the pictures in the brochures, this is a pebble beach not sand. We also drove up into the mountains to explore the ruins at Tlos which is interesting if you enjoy history and want some peace and quiet plus good views.

Oct 2005, Mrs A Bloxham

Just returned back today from hotel after our third visit and yet again what a fantastic time.
Weather this time of year very good during the day but extremely cold at night take a jacket/coat we even needed the heating on in our room at night.
Hotel still excellent and staff brilliant they certainly know how to make your holiday a good one.
The only down side this year was the price of drink/food it has gone up terribly since last June 2004 but i now think that is the case all over Europe now.

I had loads of questions when I...
10 / 10
Aug 2005, Ms B Chudasama

I had loads of questions when I booked my holiday hope the below helps.
I booked with med hotels but you might want to book hotel and transfer with hotel and then flights separately.
Best deal on insurance personally is usually Insure and go...check details .
Plenty sun cream .
Went with sister aged 24 and daughter aged 8. end of August.
Staff lovely watch out for naughty Umit, Tin Tin entertainments manager Sadat and sweet Jasmin bar staff. Lovely to children and adults alike.
Half board excellent value buffet. soup , fantastic array of Meze and main and desert. Buffet can be exhausting come the 4th and 5th night. Entertainment every night....Turkish night, barbeque night, bingo, karaoke, pool bar, cocktail bar children welcome.
Breakfast and dinner between 8 and 10. safe deposit and a/c additional cost. Med hotels actually booked us for 8 nights which meant we were not turfed out at 11am and could relax until transfer time which was pick up 3am next morning!.
10 mins walk from Hisorunu town centre just follow signs to Nadias Irish bar. opposite Nadias bar cheapest shop for water etc 10p for small bottle water and next door restaurant cheaper.
Feitye market on Tuesday....eat pancakes there and Monday market in Hisorunu...eat doner kebabs (4TL+ drinks average price 2TL) from makeshift stool in fruit market also haggle for cheap Turkish delight at 2.5 tl. For clothing and more expensive purchases haggle and walk away ...some you will loose some you gain.
Jeep safari great for adult and kids...you will get and stay very wet.........take plenty sweets to give to local children you line the jeep path and say “hello”. Turkish for hello, good morning is “merhaba”. Jeep safari covered Saklikent gorge beautiful especially walking through ice-cold fast flowing waters.........amazing!. Lunch included and can get DVD of trip at end £15.
Last year did Ephesus long trip but fantastic for people who love a sense of history e.g. Pompeii.
Also did 5 island tour..........12 island may be exhausting and too many people. We booked with agent in town called Explorer, uniform, felt safe and happy camaraderie. Ask for Ahmed if he is there (we paid £10 for boat and £20 for jeep LOOK AROUND AND HAGGLE) BUT others offer free or half price child places and are cheaper.
MONEY...........Take as much British currency as safe as will get better prices. Plenty cash machines dispensing TL and usually credit card charge of 3%.
TIPS
...............restaurants I left 1TL 50p
tip hotel staff at end of stay
waiters box in terrace restaurant
Cleaners will leave tip box in your room at last day of stay....they deserve to be tipped well great job and lovely people
Also reception staff have their own box.
Turkish people on whole lovely, warm. odd one can be arrogant and rude.
Been to Turkey 3 times and this area Ovacik and Hisorunu nice best of both worlds nightlife if you choose and quiet life if you choose.
Last year stayed at green valley hotel very nice a little smaller.
Trip was a success.......all ages and for a real change from European life and fast pace and to get back to what it means to be human again, reassess life and the important things in life.
Chocolate very expensive and a treat for Turkish...maybe worth taking some from home and then freezing and sharing.
Highly recommend.

Hotel is fantastic this is the second time visited even going back again in October. Hotel extremely cleans for a 3 star hotel, food fantastic even my mam enjoyed eating in hotel rather than in town centre, entertainment team excellent especially the Latin American dancers.
All there is left to say its FANASTIC staff make it a holiday to remember even keeping in touch with a few of them. Husband did the par-ascending from the mountain in Olu Deniz which he enjoyed very much cannot wait to do it again. Only trip we went on was the sunset cruise which we enjoyed very much especially as the drink was included in your price.
