We have just returned from two weeks here. We found the hotel to be in a very good location (5 minutes walk to the centre of the village), it is set in beautiful surroundings- split level 2 and 3 story blocks in amongst the pine trees. However, it is unsuitable for people with walking difficulties because wheel chair access is poor, also parents with pushchairs struggled with the never-ending steps. There were a couple of ramps but these were insufficient and very steep.
The rooms were of basic standard but had daily maid service. Bed linen was changed every day. Air conditioning was at an extra cost of £3 per day (which should have been free, other hotels that we have stayed in at this resort have never charged!) The fridge in the room was such a con.... It was extortionate!! Small bottles of water 2ytl (where as the local supermarket it was 1/4 of the price) Same with cans, crisps and chocolate which were about 6xs the price of those in the shops! You were forebidden by the hotel to make outside purchases which is ridiculous, as you need to keep drinking lots of bottled water constantly throughout the day in that heat to prevent dehydration! The snack bar by the pool was also very expensive!
Meal times are the worst... Dinner is served from 8- 8.30 onwards (far too late) and is just a ploy to keep you there because people with young children aren't going to want to move their families far after eating so late. Then breakfast is between 7- 10 sharp!! Again with a ten hour gap between food times- what are you expected to do?? Spend, spend, spend!!! For families that like to spend their days around the pool, there is nowhere else to purchase food and drinks (The hotel really milks this I'm affraid!) Evening meals were quite basic and repetitive unless you payed extra to eat a la carte! Then you were spoilt with gigantic portions and fancy plates and personal waiter service!! Shouldn't all diners be treated like this? If, afterall you have payed £2500 for the holiday in the first place!!!
Be extremely carefull of your "tab" which you'll have to pick up at the end of your stay... Ours added up to over £100! All we'd had was beer and water!! We couldn't make head nor tale of the blurry printout issued to us... Unless you hold on to every reciept you'll be sure to be stung on your last day!
This is about our 12th visit to Turkey, so we kind of know the score... We won't be staying in this hotel again! There are hundreds to chose from in the resort at half the price of this one and of much better standards!

I just returned from a vacation at Pine Valley with my husband and two children. Its a lovely hotel, with very clean&comfortable rooms, great location(right in the middle of eveything you need but away from all the noise), helpful staff and fantastic food! its located in the lively village of Hisaronu where you can find many shops, restaurtants and a local market on mondays. its quite close to the beach, you can take one of the local buses called dolmus whick takes 5 minutes and costs a pound. there is a different activity going on each night at the hotel, everything is very reasonbly price- you dont get high tourist hotel prices- its more or less same as the supermarkets. rooms are basic but have everything you may need(tv, fridge, hair dryer..etc) sheets and towels are changed everyday. There is a big pool and its very clean. overall, great value for money I would advise Pine Valley to anyone.

after staying here for two weeks i can safely say that we would not return to this hotel.
reason being is that it has strict rules on not bringing in your own food and water to the hotel.
This is fine for the hotel, but not for the familys who require ample water for their children.
food as required for the children cannot be purchesed at the hotel, and paying over the odds for the hotel water which is only availible to buy after 9am.
The rooms themselves were small with a mini bar like £3 a can of redbull and water ten times the highstreet price.
If you were found to have bought food or water into the hotel and stored in mini bar, you would have the pleasure of having it unplugged.
The staff on the whole were friendly and worked hard to make you happy.
Althoe i doubt 'sinbad' the bar manager gives them the tips they no doubtly deserve.
After only three days at the hotel our child also managed to get measles from we suspect to be the childrens pool.
The airconditioning in the rooms should be free, but this was not the case.
You can hire the remote for the aircon from reception, which over two weeks adds up the cost of the holiday.
The food at the hotel had a lot to be desired in my opinion, the snack bar was of a good standard.
But after eating at the hotel for only three evenings we then all had stomache complaints includeing diarohia.
After three more days of not eating , we disabayed the sighn saying do not eat out, as the hotel will not be responsable if you are poisend.
It was more like the other way round, it was only after eating out that we managed to eat some freshly prepaird food and after a few days we regained our strength.
but stayed clear of the hotels evening meals, which look to be prepaired and kept warm for 5hrs before being served, as aposed to being fresh, like the alacarte menu.
Also the swiming pool area is very slippery and i have witnessed many people falling and some needed hospital and one unfortunate guy had an opperation on his arm after falling and breaking it.
The surfaces are also red hot if walked on with barefoot, so flipflops required.
Also when you purchase any drinks food from the hotel you pay with a card billed to your room,
which saves you carrying your wallet, but check your final bill carefully as a holiday maker i spoke with had been billed several times for drinks that they had not had, infact they had not even checked into the hotel till two days later.
The evening entertainment was good,!
cheers

my partner and i stayed at the pine valley hotel in june 2008 the hotel was lovely and staff you could,nt fault but if we wanted a rowdy holiday we would have been better going to blackpool our room was right next to the pool overlooking the forest every morning between 7am - 9am the pumps started up from the pool so we had very little sleep our air-conditioning was,nt working properly (which they sorted) the noise from the bar at night went on till 2am when we asked what time it went off they said 12am rubbish. We had to climb over people to get a sun lounger as it was the same people who had their towels on the same loungers every day they operate a card system which we did,nt like if you want a quite relaxing holiday the pine valley certainly is not the hotel to be in we will be back in hisaronu in september but in a different hotel

Well what can i say i have just returned from the Pine Valley Hotel and it was absolutley brilliant. Loved everything about this holiday i could not make one complaint.
The staff were brilliant, love and will miss you all Ismail, Kamile, Dr Bob Zico and everybody else.
The hotel was lovely, it was clean and everyday the cleaners would come in and make our bed with rose petals and stuff on. The pool was a really good size and we always could easily find a bed. We ate a couple of times in the hotel and the food was really nice and good value for money. BBQ night was really good we went twice, and also Turkish night was good Entertainment was ok in the evenings but we liked sitting in the bar every night anyway as we got on so well with the staff dancing on the bar and everything with them!!!!
Hisaronu itself was nice and it has a wide range of restaurants and shops. Costellos restaurant is lovely and also Dragonaros and Shanghai Blues Chinese restaurants.
We went on a couple trips which were really good and great value for money. We also played bingo at the Hotel and we won a weeks free holiday back at the hotel which is amazing.
There is so much more i can say about how great it was but you should find out for yourself. We never expected Turkey to be as good as it was and we will definately be returning every year

We found the hotel to be a good standard and rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. Staff could not have been friendlier and the bars are only a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely return here again.

Me and my partner stayed at Pine Valley and whilst the accommodation was nice, if you wanted to get to sleep this was another matter!
Music in the bar (which is outside and right next to the accommodation) was on until at least 2.00am and was the thump thump disco, acid type.
Moved rooms, then moved hotels as after 3 nights of no sleep could take no more.
Another problem is that with night flights you do not get to sleep due to the steepness of the blocks of accommodation (set in nice pine tree grounds!) due to clop clop of womens shoes and suitcases being pulled!
Came home early and now looking to recover the cost from Thomas Cook, as a holiday should be relaxing!! THIS WAS NOT!

We have just returned from weeks holiday here and I found the hotel to be expensive and very basic. A family room was a standard room with three single beds in my eyes, we had to complain and all they could do for us was make two of the single beds a double. Will be complaining to Thomson about that as I made sure before we booked that the room was a family room with a kids bedroom. The hotel operates a tab system which every day we found they they where trying to over charge you on, also the Air-con and safe watch they don't charge you more than once on. The hotel is 3 star and the staff can start to get on you nerves with the constant shaking of hands and touching of the women and kids. Also they are always trying to get you to buy from Hotel which again is well over priced. The rooms also have a fridge which only can be stocked with there food and drink, but we just ignored that it. Wouldn't stay at this Hotel again and prob go Self catering if I went back to Turkey.
