My partner and I recently stayed in the Alinda Hotel in Icmeler, Turkey. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were ready for bed. When we were shown to our room we had 2 single beds rather than the double bed we had requested. We also found that our shower rail was falling apart and was held to the ceiling by a rusty screw and chain and the cups provided in the bathroom were dirty and mouldy. The balcony railings were coated in a black paint that, in the heat, had began to melt and got on our skin and clothing and was incredibly difficult to remove. We needed to use the safe to keep our passports and valuables secure but it wasn't actually attached to anything and could easily be picked up and moved. This meant we had to carry our passports on us at all times.
Our first morning, we went up to breakfast well within the 7.30-9.30 time and had a small selection of bread cheese and cold meat, however it was so hot in the room that the cold meat had gone warm and was turning brown and curling and the edges. And with every other meal, if we didn't arrive within the first half hour/40 minutes there was very little to choose from. And most days we had the choice of the same food; there was very little variety. This meant we ended up eating out a lot, and as we had paid for all inclusive we hadn't budgeted for this meaning we ran out of money fast. The hotel advertises a 'Cafe and patisserie' but we didn't see this so we asked reception and they told us it was the bar next door. When we asked the bar owners they said they were nothing to do with the hotel and we had to pay to go there - even though we were all inclusive.
We had detached our room key from our electricity key to allow the air-con to remain on to keep the room cool and every time our room was cleaned it was taken out and left on the side and the lady who cleaned our room actually broke the key holder. When the manager fixed it he accidentally took our key meaning we had no air-son for a night, which was very inconvenient. We asked why this was and were told we couldn't leave it in over 24 hours, so we only put it in at night. But when we came in from a meal out our key was missing from our room. We enquired about it at reception and they told us they had removed it because we were using our air-con too much. They wouldn't give us a key that worked anything other than the lights and said that we could talk to them about it on Monday (we were leaving Sunday). We now had no air-con, nobody to talk to to help us and we didn't feel safe or secure about our room as staff had let themselves in when we were out. We didn't want to stay another night and day so we booked a flight a day early to come home because we were so sick of the lack of service provided and the rudeness of the staff.
My advice is do not stay at the Alinda Hotel, it is a big disappointment and ruined, what was otherwise, a wonderful holiday.

after reading so many bad reviews we was thinking of asking to be moved so glad we never. this hotel has got every think you need and for the price we payed we were very happy, yes the food can get a bit boring but you will neva go hungy there is always 2-3 hot meal and diffrent soup every day and if you dont fancey anythink hot there is plenty of salad we evan had chicken donna 5 nights out of 14. the pool bar is abit on the small side but we was at the beach everyday so didnt really bother us and if you wanted a seat by the bar at night you would have to be down there by 7:15 but we had a few drinks in the lobby at the hotel then went to the istanbull bar across the road really fab people and really good shows and drinks cheap. they have 2 pools the main front 1 which was in shad by 12 and the back 1 which then had the sun for the rest of the day, evan though the front main pool one was in shade after 12 it was very refreshing after a long hot day at the beach and was far from ice cold the rooms are abit dated but were cleaned everyday free air con and itv1 and bbc1 so the misses was happy that she could watch the soaps lol the staff was very helpfull other people that stayed hear did have a few problems maybe we was lucky but we enjoyed it and didnt have any problems.all in all you do get what you pay and we will be returning next year if we can get a good deal.

I've just returned from Turkey, having stayed in the Alinda hotel, I read the reviews and was really worried what to expect!! I travelled with my mum and sisters for a cheapo weeks holiday. The reviews were totally unjustified!! the hotel was very friendly! the rooms were clean and had clean towels everyday we were there, If your planning on going to the Alinda the only thing I would comment on is that it is not at all for children, the pool is deep, and no entertainment at all. The food is what you expect in turkey but always had something we could eat. We would go back to the Alinda, it's position is excellent and we throughly enjoyed are stay.

We have just returned from a week s stay at the Alinda. All I can say is just remember that you get what you pay for, so for £320 per person its excellent value. The rooms are cleaned daily, the staff hard working and helpful and just two mins from beach. The food is Turkish which not eveyone likes but we ate out a few times as we like to do that anyway. We definately had our money s worth! If you want cheap and cheerful its perfect but if not book more expensive. Ignore the moaners - we enjoyed it!

Me and my family just returned from a one week stay at the Alinda and we all agree it was fantastic. The room was very clean, air conditioned with a balcony overlooking the bay (the sun always rose in between two mountain peaks - a beautiful view to wake up to!).
The food was not to my taste, although there was plenty of it to go around.
Breakfast = 7.30 - 9
Lunch = 12.30 - 2
Afternoon tea = 4.30 - 5.30
Dinner = 7 - 9
The staff were very friendly, always willing to help. They are amazing with children, treating them like their own.
There are two pools, one Jacuzzi and a kids pool with a pool side bar with serves alcohol and soft drinks from 10 in the morning to 11 at night.
Right next door is a Bar called Zaza's Havanna bar which is not part of the all inclusive deal but is popular with the Alinda's guests.
Don't listen to the negative reviews, it is a good hotel which is central to many amenities such as the market, beach, restaurants and bars, with a bus stop to Marmaris only a minute away. Go and enjoy yourself!!

we paid for a last minute all inclusive hotel for 850 per couple, what we got was at least 5 couples in hotel with sickness and diarrhoea, rooms that were leaking, old fashioned and falling apart, staff that had no customer service what so ever, watered down beer, and cold chicken for every meal. we have two good points about alinda 5 mins walk from beach and the cleaning staff who changed our towels every day luckly because once you use the dirty shower it floods the whole bathroom and you have to put every towel on the floor to sort it out. The pool is totally in shade from 1pm but the worst thing about the alinda is the rude barstaff that have no interest in being polite smiling or serving people, all inclusive hotel what a joke they do everything in there power to make u not want to eat, drink or stay their, we got poorly 2 days into holiday,we returned on saturday 14th and we still are poorly . PLEASE NO ONE WASTE THERE MONEY IT IS NOT A ALL INCLUSIVE OR A NICE

Just returned from 2 week stay at the Alinda hotel and were both fully satisfied with the entire holiday. We paid £393 pp All inclusive and had no complaints but listened to many Brits complaining that there was no Bacardi and no full English breakfast HELLO !!! your abroad.
Everyone was very friendly which created a great relaxing and fun holiday. The beach was approx 200 metres away with only a £1 charge for a sunbed, mattress and parasol and some even complained about that .
Rooms were a little tired but always clean with ample room and storage space .
Pool area clean and tidy and had no probs reserving sunbed.We would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel as we had a wonderful 2 weeks.

Short but...well...The one bad thing in Icmeler has to be the Alinda Hotel, NO WAY is it a 3 Star.
Room 104, had laminate flooring that was split and broken, a veranda that was always wet from leaky water pipe so we could hardly use and after asking for it to be fixed, after 5th time we gave up. A bathroom that was falling apart with a shower that you had to step out of to wash and duck down to get wet.
A Stinking crap fridge that has seen better days in the early 80s. 2 single beds that have seen better days with my wife and I being on our second honey moon, well, what fun we could have had but made less romantic by falling down between the gaps.
The facilities was a joke with not enough sun loungers , the front pool got about 2 hours of sun, the back pool was about 15 feet wide with a hotel building and a 15 foot wall on the opposite…oh and a pool that was disgusting.
Food, constantly cold (especially breakfast with cold scrambled egg, etc), reheats, cheap and not cheerful and on the occasions I did eat there to save some money, we ended up with a dodgy tummy. They did however make an attempt after a few complaints...they served fresh omelet for 2 days, when the staff showed up on time. Oh and we did show up at different times to see if there was any difference in quality. And please, what is this with running away with the plates when you go to get fresh water or a coffee. All inclusive bar consisted of 2 different wines, and spirits, 1 beer, 2 juices, tea and coffee. Anything else you have to pay. Free plain ice cream between 5 and 5:30 pm only.
Cleaning staff great,kitchen staff emmm, the rest, especially main desk realy dont care and many time show it clearly.
Loved my holiday but would have been made extra special if we had a good or even a fairly good hotel.
SORRY ALINDA BUT YOUR STAR THREE STARS SHOULD BE REVIEWED URGENTLY…
