This hotel caters for mostly Germans plus Greek, Romanian, Bulgarian etc guests. It is most definitely NOT geared to the British. The standard of food is very poor - evening meals are often lukewarm and remnants are re-used the following day, disguised as something else. Whilst we stayed there, I, along with many others, suffered stomach upset caused solely by the food. There seems to be a resentment that one expects to have all-inclusive treatment just because you’ve paid for it! At one point I was refused a drinking straw for a glass of lemonade because I was an A-I guest.
For the most part the staff were very friendly and the manager very efficient - I suspect the staff were given strict limits as to what A-I guests were allowed.
The Kosmar rep was polite but ineffective - I suggested that signs around the hotel should be in English as well as German - nothing was done whilst we were there.
The location is about 5 miles from town so it’s either taxi or bus if you want to visit any shops or tavernas. We hired a car for our fortnight holiday so were able to get out at will. We frequently took meals away from the hotel as the food was so bad.
We have visited many Greek islands and always found the Greek people very friendly, however, in Neos Marmaris, we found the locals are quite the opposite - almost as if we were an inconvenience to them!
We love the Greek islands and people and have made many Greek friends over the years but we will most definitely NOT return to Hotel Lagomandra nor that of Greece.
We have no connection with any travel company or hotel - we are just normal holidaymakers very disappointed with our annual holiday.

Well what can I say about this hotel? Fawlty Towers!
We arrived at the hotel after a 2 1/2 hour transfer, we were looking forward to checking in and enjoying the All Inclusive package we have paid for - We were so wrong!
First impressions after getting off of the coach - the hotel is completely run down! We managed to check in, and then were left to carry our bags up to our room (all up hill); this is not part of an all inclusive package!
Rooms - Hideous, in need of a serious makeover/ Update, wires hanging out of the wall, missing tiles in the bathroom - I could go on....
Putting that aside we decided to go down to the bar to have a drink, there is one bar in the whole hotel that serves the drink, oh and one barman also!
I asked for a Gin and tonic only to be told that Tonic was not part of the all inclusive package (how many other mixers can you really have with gin)? I ended up having a glass of wine, which tasted like vinegar - Nice!
My boyfriend asked for a beer, only to be given the tiniest little glass of beer I have ever seen... Wait for it, it gets worse, we thought we'd go and have some dinner, seeing as we hadn't eaten for a good few hours, I remember walking through the doors and seeing all these people and hardly any food, we finally got round to look at the food only to walk out and eat at the Taverna (which you had to pay for).
We complained to the Rep the next day (who was useless) couldn't do anything for us really, could move us to another hotel (which we would have to pay for)...
We paid out all this money to stay in the hotel, why should we have to pay to move!
Anyway, after a little cry I decided to get over it and try to enjoy the holiday, by eating and drinking, and spending as much time away from the hotel as possible.
Please be warned this is not the type of holiday you want!
