Giulietta e Romeo Hotel

The hotel is very well located and the service is pleasant but our room was miniscule. Others were complaining at the desk so I believe some of the rooms are exceptionally small for the price. There was no place to stow the suitcases and very little space for clothes. Getting from the bed to the bathroom was a challenge. One advantage is that they take the car and park it for you . We had a fantastic time at this hotel. The location was excellent, very near to the Arena di Verona - but also a quiet location considering the volume of people visting during opera season! The staff at the hotel were very friendly, positive and helpful. We never never had to ask twice for anything and small items, such as lights not working, were fixed before we even asked. We stayed here for one night during a two-week tour of Italy. Whilst there is nothing spectacular about this hotel, it was tastefully furnished, very reasonably sized rooms and very clean. We had a large balcony (not Juliet style!) that overlooked the top ramparts of the Ampitheatre - wonderful. Its location from the Ampitheatre wins it over other hotels though - you are literally 50 yards from it. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and Verona is very easy to navigate on foot. First off, Verona is surprisingly nice. The center of town, near the ampitheatre, is very nice, and has good shopping and food (in addition to the ampitheatre, which is very cool). The hotel is also nice. We had a balcony room, so we did what everyone else does, and took Romeo and Juliet style pictures of my wife looking out on the balcony. You have to book the balcony rooms far in advance. Definitely recommend Verona (if you are on your way to Venice), and this hotel.

While the location is great the room which was a twin was tiny, the decor was very poor. The staff were very friendly and nice which is important, however we would not be staying their again due to the room size and decore!
