Stayed here for half term in 2009 as a family of 3 - helpful, friendly staff. Excellent food and comfortable clean accomodation. No bar but there is a lounge downstairs that we were drinking our own beer in after the restaurant closed. The only reason Im not giving it a 10 is because of the faff with the buses. The last bus (K2-Schaufflerberg-BURG) leaves form the centre at about 16:40 so if you stay until the last lift you are walking (20 mins ish) or taxiing - 6-8 Euros when we stayed. Its good in the morning though as you are first on the bus and can go right to the glacier (Kitsteinhorn) from outside the hotel. Just for completeness, its 15 mins bus ride to the glacier and takes about 20 mins to get up there to the first lift you can ski from. In conclusion, great family hotel and resort - can recommend Kaprun for its friendliness and family orientated skiing. Go and see the car museum down the road under the Sport Krystal and you can play bowls there as well.
