Bahia Golf Bungalows Reviews
" My boyfriend and I booked a cheap... "
Submitted By: Ms B Inwood
My boyfriend and I booked a cheap last minute holiday stating "accommodation on arrival" or "our choice" we got it for E250 each so weren't too bothered which apartments we stayed in but secretly hoped it would be playa del ingles or Puerto Rico as I had been to Puerto Rico before on a similar holiday.
I was disappointed at first to hear the rep say Maspalomas when we lined up in the airport to give our names and find out where they were accommodating us. Mainly as I knew Puerto Rico and had an impression of Maspalomas being mainly very quiet and out of the way a bit. However when the bus driver asked where we were staying and we said Bahia Golf bungalows he seemed impressed and said that we were lucky.
It's an enclosed area with 3 semi detached bungalows each with 3 bedrooms and one large pool and chairs to share(not bad for a cheap holiday huh?). The bungalows are huge and very well kept and a maid cleaned all bungalows and the pool area every day - even did the washing up!
There is a very tasty and friendly Italian restaurant just down the road and if you walk through the tennis courts there are news agents for basics 5 mins away. The faro 2 shopping centre is about a 20 min walk away with lots of bars shops restaurants etc and a fun park for kids.
It's E3 if I remember correctly for a taxi to Playa del Ingles and you can't go wrong with that. The owner of the Italian restaurant told us about a supermarket where the locals shop in playa del ingles called Hiperdino, just hop in a taxi and ask for it, its in a small shopping centre but cheap as things are in shops over there this place is cheaper still as its mainly used by locals. i.e.: 1Ltr of Malibu was E11 and coffee was E0.60c for a large jar so worth a visit for stocking up.
This place is quiet but not dead and yet intimate enough to befriend your "neighbours" as we did and often sat around the pool at night with a few drinks having the craic! So go and enjoy - were going back for our honeymoon hopefully!

There is no air conditioning on site, a portable machine can be hired, but a window has to be left open to expel the hot air. As the temperatures reached 40c, this was a pointless exercise, and made it too hot to sleep at night. Have advised the rep to mention to the owner to fit proper air conditioning and charge if clients wish to use it.
This is for people who want a very quiet holiday, not for young teenagers as there is only the pool.
