Submitted By: Mr Gary HowmanWe have 2 sons (16 and 7) and we gave them the bedroom opting to use the sofa beds ourselves. These were very uncomfortable. Also only one air conditioning unit, which switches off after 15 mins, in the main room.
Only a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The air con could not be left on because you are given a key for electric and when you go out you take this with you. Every night was boiling in our room and none of us got much sleep.
The swimming pool is also very small. There is a pizzeria on the site that is very popular.
It's located at the Salou end of town and there are some good bars nearby including the Mucky Duck and Molly Mallone's both of which offer excellent value for money meals.
The beach is just across the road and is very clean.
You can catch a bus into Salou (note children over 4 pay full fare) and the Port Aventura theme park. Salou has improved dramatically in the 15 years since I was last there and the theme park is a brilliant day out. It opens from 10 am to 12 pm and we spent 10 hours there and went on almost every ride. The local buses will pick you up after midnight and they are very cheap, approx 5 Euros for the 4 of us.
It's worth getting the bus into Salou and catching the train to Barcelona. This cost approx 40 Euros return for 3 adults and 1 child. We enjoyed it so much we went twice.
All in all not bad value for money. The people at the apartments are very nice and for a small family or couple it would be ideal. But they should get the air con sorted out. We stayed at the Solecito apartments in Alcudia last year and they charged £7 a day for units that looked brand new. I would rather pay this and get a good night’s sleep than have to do without.

Submitted By: Mr D HughesThe pool is tiny so if you like to sit around the pool all day this is not the place for you but if you like the beach this place is ideal as it is about a two minute walk away. The Costa Verde is the same distance from Salou as it is from the centre of Cambrils you can walk to either along the beach which will take about 35 mins or get the bus from outside the hotel.
Don't forget to take an extra 100 euros as a deposit which you get back at the end of your stay if everything in you room is as you found it. If you re leaving early on the day of departure ask for it the night before as there is no one available until about 10am.

Submitted By: Miss ML WoodwardThe location is great although it is on a busy main road and the Spanish drive very fast. Kids play area kept my two little ones happy and just down the road is a pub called Pure Genius where they have play stations free to use for the kids, so the big ones got their fix of fun too. Food was ok. Nice pizza place directly under the hotel but if you don’t like pizzas there are plenty of restaurants to choose from near by. Good ones: IMO, Pure Genius, Pig & Whistle, Mucky Duck. I would go back there we had a lovely time.

Submitted By: Miss Ashleigh TaylorThe location of the apartments I thought was excellent you wasn't far from the sea front it's just over the road supplying you with an excellent beach which is also very clean.
The several supermarkets are within walking distance and transport is right on your door step so if you wanted to venture out you could hop on the buses these come quite regularly.
The staff in the apartment are very friendly and the rep visits you most day so any enquiries you have they'll be on hand.

Submitted By: Mrs C AgnewThe apartments were comfortable and well equipped. However the little beds creaked with every turn of the occupants and the sound penetrated other apartments. Keeping us awake until we got used to it. Traffic noise was no problem as bedrooms were at the back.
We would return.

Submitted By: BelltinkSo it was a bit tricky to leave any thing in the fridge. Warm San Miguels not quite the same. The pool was small but not over crowded and there's a small play area and splash pool for the kids. You use the bar from the restaurant underneath. (Beer, coffee, ices, pizzas etc) its a small family run hotel and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
There is no entertainment at these apartments. The train track and main road the runs either side of the apartments are not a problem, the rooms are sound proofed and have air con, so you do get a good sleep. Overall we loved these apartments and would go back again.

Submitted By: Mr S DoyleThat said, this was the only real blip about the place. Apartments are nice, bright and clean. Self catering facilities included, cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster & microwave. Restaurant downstairs is nice. Food and drink relatively cheap. Bus stop outside takes you to Salou, Barcelona, and theme parks. Good cheap reliable service. Salou itself is a 30 minute walk away.
Its a nice walk along the beach though so you don’t really notice it. Bring plenty of towels, as were only given 1 towel each for the entire holiday. Bed sheets weren't changed either and only 1 toilet roll supplied. Don’t let this put you off though, as overall its a really nice place.

Advice: This resort is closer to Salou (Maybe 2 mile) than to Cambrilis (Maybe 4 mile)
Activities: Porta Ventura by far
