Our first impressions of the apartments were nice but as someone else commented, you have to wait a while to get in. This was because of Siesta but because the reception only opens for about 1 hour per day! Our opinion was that they were to interested in running the restaurant than looking after the guests as well. Staff were friendly I must give them that, but when tourism is your source of income, you will be friendly as well. Swimming poll was tiny, two strokes and you are at the other side, I kid you not. 6 Sun loungers which were taken up by the same people everyday. Our sheets were not changed at all, and towels were changed once. We got one roll of toilet paper and had to buy the rest ourselves. SELF CATERING and we had to RENT the kettle and toaster. Now that took the biscuit! Oh and dont forget the €100 deposit you have to pay when you arrive! There is a couple of nice bars around but generally speaking, its not near anything. Beach is spot on, and is just accross the way

The apartments - These are very small apartments, we would say more suited to a maximum of 3 rather than 4.
We have 2 sons (16 and 7) and we gave them the bedroom opting to use the sofa beds ourselves. These were very uncomfortable. Also only one air conditioning unit, which switches off after 15 mins, in the main room.
Only a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The air con could not be left on because you are given a key for electric and when you go out you take this with you. Every night was boiling in our room and none of us got much sleep.
The swimming pool is also very small. There is a pizzeria on the site that is very popular.
It's located at the Salou end of town and there are some good bars nearby including the Mucky Duck and Molly Mallone's both of which offer excellent value for money meals.
The beach is just across the road and is very clean.
You can catch a bus into Salou (note children over 4 pay full fare) and the Port Aventura theme park. Salou has improved dramatically in the 15 years since I was last there and the theme park is a brilliant day out. It opens from 10 am to 12 pm and we spent 10 hours there and went on almost every ride. The local buses will pick you up after midnight and they are very cheap, approx 5 Euros for the 4 of us.
It's worth getting the bus into Salou and catching the train to Barcelona. This cost approx 40 Euros return for 3 adults and 1 child. We enjoyed it so much we went twice.
All in all not bad value for money. The people at the apartments are very nice and for a small family or couple it would be ideal. But they should get the air con sorted out. We stayed at the Solecito apartments in Alcudia last year and they charged £7 a day for units that looked brand new. I would rather pay this and get a good night’s sleep than have to do without.

Apartments are clean and modern, they are air conditioned, two rings to warm food and a microwave oven. But I did find it strange that they charged 7 euros for the use of the toaster after all it was a self catering apartment. If you arrive during siesta there is no one on reception and you might have to wait about for a while. There is a restaurant on site which was very busy every night, the pizzas were very good.
The pool is tiny so if you like to sit around the pool all day this is not the place for you but if you like the beach this place is ideal as it is about a two minute walk away. The Costa Verde is the same distance from Salou as it is from the centre of Cambrils you can walk to either along the beach which will take about 35 mins or get the bus from outside the hotel.
Don't forget to take an extra 100 euros as a deposit which you get back at the end of your stay if everything in you room is as you found it. If you re leaving early on the day of departure ask for it the night before as there is no one available until about 10am.

Ours was a last minute booking and we got the whole holiday for a song. We were warned about the train track at the back before travelling. Didn’t hear a peep out of it.
The location is great although it is on a busy main road and the Spanish drive very fast. Kids play area kept my two little ones happy and just down the road is a pub called Pure Genius where they have play stations free to use for the kids, so the big ones got their fix of fun too. Food was ok. Nice pizza place directly under the hotel but if you don’t like pizzas there are plenty of restaurants to choose from near by. Good ones: IMO, Pure Genius, Pig & Whistle, Mucky Duck. I would go back there we had a lovely time.

The apartments were great very clean they had most things you'll need. The facilities out side your rooms were very limited you only had a pool and a few sun loungers and for children theirs a tiny park.
The location of the apartments I thought was excellent you wasn't far from the sea front it's just over the road supplying you with an excellent beach which is also very clean.
The several supermarkets are within walking distance and transport is right on your door step so if you wanted to venture out you could hop on the buses these come quite regularly.
The staff in the apartment are very friendly and the rep visits you most day so any enquiries you have they'll be on hand.

Costa Verde apartments proved most convenient for our holiday in c. Dorada. Bus stop near the door meant no walking, searching or wondering. The local tourist Board/Plana Bus Company provided a guide at each stop at peak hours who answered queries about routes & fares (which were ridiculously cheap).
The apartments were comfortable and well equipped. However the little beds creaked with every turn of the occupants and the sound penetrated other apartments. Keeping us awake until we got used to it. Traffic noise was no problem as bedrooms were at the back.
We would return.

These apartments are modern and new, a bit on the small side (even the terrace) but it was very clean and well equipped. Towels were changed every week and fresh linen left. There was no maid service. To switch the power on you had to put your key in a slot in the wall so when you went out the power was off.
So it was a bit tricky to leave any thing in the fridge. Warm San Miguels not quite the same. The pool was small but not over crowded and there's a small play area and splash pool for the kids. You use the bar from the restaurant underneath. (Beer, coffee, ices, pizzas etc) its a small family run hotel and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
There is no entertainment at these apartments. The train track and main road the runs either side of the apartments are not a problem, the rooms are sound proofed and have air con, so you do get a good sleep. Overall we loved these apartments and would go back again.

The reception/restaurant closes each day for the traditional Spanish siesta. So, on arrival, along with others, there was no-one around to let us in. The rep was phoning about and eventually we got in (after a 30 minute wait).
That said, this was the only real blip about the place. Apartments are nice, bright and clean. Self catering facilities included, cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster & microwave. Restaurant downstairs is nice. Food and drink relatively cheap. Bus stop outside takes you to Salou, Barcelona, and theme parks. Good cheap reliable service. Salou itself is a 30 minute walk away.
Its a nice walk along the beach though so you don’t really notice it. Bring plenty of towels, as were only given 1 towel each for the entire holiday. Bed sheets weren't changed either and only 1 toilet roll supplied. Don’t let this put you off though, as overall its a really nice place.

Went in September this year, and the apartments are excellent value for money, very clean and comfortable. The manager Vincent was very helpful, and was a great support during the recent national strikes, when our flight was cancelled, will defo go back again and again.
