Ebano Apartments

this was our seventh time at the ebano and i really cannot understand what people are complaning about. yes the apartments are basic, but then again they are clean and spacious. let's face it you have decided to go self catering, so don't expect 5star luxury. the pool area is lovely with decking round the pool and plenty of shade. if you are going with small family then there is limited amenties for small children. but what keeps us returning year after year is the staff especially the bar staff who know treat us like friends. if you are looking for 5 star comfort then it's not for you , but if you want a home from home with staff who remember you from one year to the next then you really cannot do better than than the ebano. why else would they get such a high number of repeat trade

These apartments were perfect for me and 4 of my friends to stay in for a week self catering. We went end of July / beginning of June and found the guests were considerate with their music and noise levels. Quite a few families were staying there, couples and a few young crowds. The food was good when we ate there, nice cooked breakfasts and the waiters worked hard and were very pleasant. I couldnt fault the location, close to the airport and everything you could ask for. It seems a little obvious that planes are going to be going over but thats not just for this apartment..that is for the whole of Playa Den Bossa (including when you are in Space nightclub!) so I cant see how someone could fault the apartment regarding location. Everything went smoothly in the hotel and it was clean and fully air conditioned inside. I couldnt comment on the entertainment as we were not there for that. In the day all that seems to be going on is water polo and I didnt really like the guy who organised all this. I wouldnt take my son to this hotel as I dont feel there is enough entertainment for them nor a big enough kids pool. My advice would be to stay in the Ebano if youre a couple or on a girls / guys hol and you wont go wrong

After just browsing at the other reviews i felt i had to write mine. Sept 07 was the 4th time my family stayed at Ebano Apartments and it was just like coming home again. We have nothing but good things to say about Ebano. We did not go to the Welcome meeting as we felt we could have taken it ourselves, being there three tmes before!! The rooms are clean and tidy, maid service almost every day - changing beds, towels and cleaning - perfect. The waiters are most accommodating and friendly, nothing is too much for them, in fact they go the extra mile to please you. The fact that there are the same waiters in the restaurant and have been for the past 4 years says something in itself. Food is great and very reasonably priced. Entertainment every night - we were even coaxed into starring in a production of Grease which was absolutely hilarious!!! We love these apartments and would definitely go back again. In one review i read it says about drinking and getting drunk - sure that is everywhere - if you are into that sort of thing - we did not know Space nightclub was in Playa d'en Bossa until our second time there! Plenty of shops, restaurants and shops - it is just brilliant. Weather was brilliant and only 2 1/2 hours flight - excellent!!!

If you are at the Ebano and want to enjoy a clear view of trees, stay on the third floor as most rooms have a balcony that is surrounded by high trees.
Even though I complained that I could not even get a view of the pool, the bonus was a beautiful view of the aeroplanes passing over the apartments before landing.
To sleep on the beds it was just like sleeping on the floor as they were so hard and uncomfortable. There were no egg cups, no toaster but the consolation was a very helpful "PEPE" who would go out of his way to assist anyone.
This is my first and last visit to "THE EBANO" as I believe it to the worst holiday of my entire life. The rep was the same quality as the Polish receptionist who was of no help whatsoever and made promises that were not kept.
A TRAGIC HOLIDAY - That I never want again.

The apartments are clean and the facilities good. The staff at reception and at the bar were very friendly, the same however could not be said of the holiday rep.
We didn’t go to the welcome meeting so therefore did not get as much as a hello from her for the full week, very very poor as a holiday rep.
The entertainer was all right but had a very limited repertoire and his drag show that he went on about all week was very poor in comparison to others I have seen on the island, in fact the entertainment was very poor.
It is advertised as a family based hotel but there was far too many young ones making loads of noise at night and had no consideration for others.
In saying that some of the older clientele were just as bad. All in all would not recommend this place for families.
Playa den Bossa is filthy, nothing to do unless you want to drink and get drunk.

Good daytime although a small pool so don’t go when packed. Nightime a nightmare with groups of 18 to 20s, loud music and parties during the night. Also the planes are loud and non stop. Jack was great a good laugh .
The resort itself is ok, but could be a lot better for families and not the cheapest. We must recommend the Jeep Safari, Bob Marley was a great tour guide. Not great food but a good laugh.
