The rooms were cleaned every day except for Wednesdays and Sundays. When you leave the apartments, you hand your room key into reception which is great if you're in a group. I was there with my parents and brother and it was handy so we didn't have to always be with our parents. The staff were the nicest people I've ever spoken to :) Pedro the bar manager is a legend .. We love Pedro :D Jenni and Katie the childrens entertainers were sound :) They seemed to know all the childrens names very well and always had games on :) They were good at handling things if the children misbehaved but were always kind to them .. Paul the waiter is a legend too :) Shirley s really nice too :) Sam, Mary and Olvida were very nice too but we didn't know them as well . Fabio the life guard was very nice and helped a little girl who stood on some glass. Enric the chef is nice too. The pool was very clean and very big and fairly deep but there were shallow parts too it so it was fine .. the pool closes at 8 every day due to local law or something which was disappointing. The beach there was quite nice and there were a few different activities to do there. The apartments are across the road from a supermarket and there is another just up the road a little. The main road can be quite loud at night but it didn't bother us because we were so tired every night. We were worried after seeing some of these reviews but we found none of it to be true. The whole place was very clean. The apartments were quite small but were fine..We read the hot water was turned off at 6pm but that isn't true at all. The food there is quite nice but we went out most night to restaurants on the beach .. We'd recommend Simsalabim and Sherezade . We were sad to leave and definitely want to go back. The entertainment at night was ok .. there was a kiddies diso with games at 8:30, Cash Bingo at 9:30 and various entertaiment shows at 10:30ish which usually lasted until about 12am. The bar is open until about 1:30am. The weather over there is amazing..we'd definitely go again but would probably go all inclusive this time. We went from 30June-7July. The holiday would have been nothing without the staff
- Advice: Talk to the staff and other guests, it will make the holiday so much more enjoyable, that's what we did.

We are just back from the Gran Santa Ponsa Apts and I would never go back. Our room was filthy and every room faces the pool so no nice views or privacy. The evening entertainment was great for kids but it is very very noisy until almost 1am and as the entertainment is at the pool area you cant sleep until after then. I found the older lady at recepton very rude and unhelpful. If you want a sunbed by the pool be prepared for lots of arguments with other holiday makers as there are not enough to go around and if you step away for lunch be prepared to come back to your towels being dumped and someone else on your bed. The food at the bar was OK but not great and drinks as usual abroad are very expensive. It just wasnt the type of place for me and my family. Our room was cleaned only once in 9 days and not well at all, and we had to go and ask for fresh towels. Our travel cot was also discusting and had to be cleaned before we could put our daughter in it. All in all I wouldnt recomend it.

Me and my partner who are in our early fifties have just returned from the Gran Santa Ponsa Appartments. To say it was a nightmare would be an understatement. All rooms face the swimming pool and you have no privacy at all. The night time entertainment is rubbish and all you can hear wether in your room or on your balcony is some nutcase on a loud microphone and loud music. You would have to be stone deaf and blind to say it was good here.
Teenagers shouting, swearing and just plain idiotic parents who obviously Had no control over them.Teenagers in the pool deliberately breaking small childrens lilo's, swearing when young children were there.
Management do not care if you report your concerns as its obvious the loud mouth nutcases that keep decent people up all night are the ones that keep returning.
NOT A GOOD CRAIC HOGGY HOGGY HOGGY.

Hi there, Arrived to the Gran Santa Ponsa on the 11/07/09 for one week. Pool area is lovely and clean. Lots of loungers & ( umbrella's cost 1.50 per day). Loads for the kids to do.Very nice bar lady speaks great english and great with the kids. Mary brill with the kids really includes them in the night time entertainment. Apts were well located all with pool view. The only complaint we had was the chamber maids. Linen was not changed for the week, towels were very limited and the floors were not swept or washed. 3 shared in our apt and despite speaking to the rep this didn't improve. It was such a pity as this was an ideal location and lovely place. Great resturants. Crocodillos CAN be pre booked which is advisable. Fat Sam's can't but it is worth the wait!! The Pirate Show was super (NOT TO BE MISSES). Market good but you must be prepared to bargin!! Taxi's are cheap so get one for the market. I'm not a beach kind of girl! so my sister took my 13 year old son, they spent most of the day there and had a ball.
- Advice: Lovely place. Fab beach.
- Activities: Fat Sam's, Crocodillos, Mrs. Murphy's Kitchen. Pirate Show a MUST.

I went on holidays with my mum and my 2 children aged 5 and 2. We all enjoyed Gran Santa Ponsa as it had something for all. Mary at the complex entertains the kids no end and goes that extra mile other would not, we all want to return sometime and my 5 year old daughter did not want to come home she wanted all her family to move and live there and how great that would be.
- Advice: Great for families
- Activities: Restaurants: Crocodillos is great for kids as it does mash potatoes for them

we stayed in these apartments for two weeks in june, i have to say we enjoyed every minuite of our stay, the nightlife in santa ponsa was excellent, we have two children aged 11 and 14 they enjoyed everything from just splashing in the pool to joining in with the activities with the childrens entertainment, there was something for them to do everyday and every evening, and i have to say mary who was in charge of the entertainment was absolutely brilliant and made every person feel welcome!!! the rooms were clean and tidy with the maids coming in most days with clean sheets and towels we are definately going back again next year, we cant wait
- Advice: loved it definately going back!

Just got back Saturday after 11 nights in the gran santa ponsa apartments. Me and my partner went and thought it was great. The apartments were nice and clean with regular maid service although i dont think they cleaned the floors or changed the bed sheets while we were there but that didnt really bother us as we are not filthy people!!! There was only air con in the living room/kitchen area and i think this will be a problem for those going during the hotter summer months. The temps were roughly between 70 + 70 while we were there and although we had some drizzle it was nothing much and didtn last long. It did get tend to get rather cloudy around 3 and we came off the beach then. TGhe sea was lovely. All the staff were lovely and they found it nice although funny when i tried to speak to them in my little spanish! The ppol looked lovely although we didnt use it as we are more beach people. The location was great - out of the way but not too far, everything was within walking distance and the whole area is relatively flat. There was a small incline going up towards the irish/scottish area and towards the small cove/marina area but they were easy. We dont usually go back to the same place twice but i would go back if my sister was to take the kids there. We did a few excursions booked with our rep - 1. Pirates - FANTASTIC!!! 2. Caves of Drach - wouldnt go again, one of the hottest and sunniest days i felt was wasted on this trip, we were first dropped at the majorica factory where they make pearls, not the most intersting of places mainly rows of items of jewellary made with the pearls which although i did fancy a few pieces they were too expensive, then next door to the olive art shop, again not the most intersting it was just a shop more or less selling tat made from olive wood. Then on to the caves which were not as magnificant as expected and we werent there long, then down to porto christo for lunch which was kind of expensive and there wasnt much to do or see here. Finally we thought we were on our way back to the apartment but we had a final stop in a shop alongside the motorway where we had a taster of some liquors and could purchase more tat and leather goods. We enjoyed the scenery as we were going around the isalnd but i wouldnt recommend it - too long. 3. Andraix market and port. We were dropped off around 9.30 and were in the market until 12.00. We felt too long was spent here, we had been around the market by 10.30! we then went down to the port for lunch for an hour and a bit but spent most of the time trying to find somewhere with reasonable prices to eat!! The local bus service is good and reasonable (so are the taxis) and i would get around with these rather than book with your rep. All in all a great holiday and it was winding down at this time of year but id ont expect it would have been too busy during the school holidays. Prices were simialr everywhere. We didnt eat at crocodilos which had been recommeneded to us as it was always too busy but we had three very nice meals at the watering hole just down from crocodilos and they have a lovely pool and area with sunloungers out the back available to use for a couple of euros. So to end, if you are thinking of going here i would say yes. Enjoy your holiday.

Our first holiday to Gran Santa Ponsa with our 4 year old and 16 year old daughters. We had a fantastic time and Mary & Lucy were absolutely fantastic at entertaining the children. We will definitely return to Gran Santa Ponsa apartments.

Yes not everyone is going to agree and like any hotel it really depends on the others guests. Our stay (2 adults + 2 kids 8&9) went very well. We went at the end of Aug 2011 for 2 weeks and is a good time as it's a little cheaper (Yes you have to keep your kids out of school for an extra week) and a little quieter but as there are local celebrations on there's lot's to do. The entertainment is reasonably good and George 'Family Man' is a must see. The staff are great and Andreas was very helpful and chatty. Please do get out more, explore the local area, learn to speak a bit of the lingo, they're wondeful people and it's a beautiful island. Please go self catering and put some money back into the local economy, the restraunts are cheap but are v.good. The EROSKI supermarkets are good but stick to locally made produce as anything imported is pricy. If your looking for peace and quiet choose a different resort BUT FOR FUN THAT'S FAIRLY FAMILY ORIENTATED YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE.
