Newly built in 2005, Ziakis apartment was exceptionally clean (having not been used before).
It was not basic in anyway, all the usual utensils you get on a self catering holiday, but with a proper kettle and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The bathroom was brilliant with a full size bath as well as a shower.
Views over the bay and resort were stunning and the swimming pool is of ample size with plenty of sun beds. The bar serves a range of lunch snacks which were superb and reasonably priced. The maid service was excellent also - they came to clean the room after we had only been in it 5 hours - bless. The only thing against Ziakis Hotel is the location - remote from the centre of town and up a very steep hill whichever way you go to it.
Suggestion - stay around the pool in the daytime and have lunch there, then walk down to town in the evenings (15-35 mins) depending on the route you take and treat yourself to a taxi back - between 4 - 7 euros. I would definitely go back to Ziakis.
