Had a great holiday in Rhodes, Ziakis Apartments are very clean and comfortable. The views from our room were breathtaking! Also the fact there was a wild peacock walking round the grounds at all hous, what an unusual sight! The staff were very friendly. Cooking fa****ies were very basic but we managed for the week we were there. Caprice's bar in the centra does a very nice (and cheap) full english breakfast I would reccommend. The walk to the hotel could be tiring but make sure you time it well so your not walking in the hottest part of the day! Also take a taxi to Lindos a little market place ideal for gifts, gorge.
Hope you enjoy as much as we did x

the ziakis studios where so much more than what i expected and could imagine. As they are in greece i wasnt hoping for much but wow!!!! the first thing that caught my eyes where the stunning views from both the pool side and the apartments. We where in the 300 block and where very lucky to have views over the bay some rooms unfortunately are not that lucky. The studios where exceptionaly clean and clean towles where supplied everyday bar one of the weekend days, even if you are still in bed with a hangover they will give you your clean towels. The walk back up to the hotel was tough but with taxis only costing 4 euros getting back up at night was not a problem. There is no entertainment at the studios but just a five minute walk away plenty of other hotels provide greek nights and karaoke etc. there are plenty of restaurants and bars to kept you busy at night but day times are a bit slow, we rented a car which helped alot. me and my boyfriend would definately go back again to pefkos and to the same studios, it was very romantic with the sunset and a perfect relaxing first holiday.
only downside air con cost 55 euros which was a shock as we thought it was included. Upside though the chef in the kitchen will still cook you a breakfast after half ten as he would say 'why not'.

The Ziakis studios were very clean, tidy, nicely furnished and offered breath taking views over the town and beach of Pefkos. Staff were all friendly and offered lots of help and support. The pool and the seating around it was lovely, and again a clean look to it.
Everything in the apartment was immaculate including the bathroom and kitchen area. A short 5-10 minute walk will take you to the centre of pefkos where there was plenty of stylish tavernas, a few shops and some gorgeous quiet beaches. People of Pefkos were all joyful and friendly and the beautiful town of Lindos can be reached by a short drive in a taxi that will cost around 8 euros.
If you have difficulty walking, then I wouldn't advise you to book this hotel as the hill that leads up to the hotel may be quite a treck.
but overall a beautiful peaceful stylish hotel with lots to offer

My partner and i went on a last minute holiday, discussion with our tour operator we went to Pefkos and the Ziakis (the option for a pool swayed us). On our arrival we put the key in the lock to be blown away by the view in fronf of us, it could not have been better if we tried. Due to its hillside location we had an amazing view of Pefkos below us. It does however mean a walk down and back again at night however nothing as bad as they tell you, or you can get a taxi for about £4/5 euros. The pool area is lovely and you can sit out all day without losing sun, just moving the lounger round as the sunsets.
The hotel was built 2005 however still is imaculate. The staff do not speak much English however are friendly and made us laugh when we came back one day to find the clothes we left out on our bed arranged in peolpe shapes. The self catering part was the only draw back as there was not much cooking utensils but who comes on holiday to cook. The restaurants ensure you are well fed, the food is amazing. We especially recommend Enigma and La Pizza. And for drinks after a trip to Jimmys bar is well worth it, the cocktails are amazing and Jimmy is life and soul of the place.
We had such a great time were back there again 2008 and to the Ziakis, what more can i say.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic week in Pefkos recently; however I wasn't overly impressed with the Ziakis Studios. The staff in the hotel were ok, not that friendly (but maybe they were having a bad week) their English wasn’t fantastic either. It is definitely worth the 55 euros extra for air conditioning in the room.
The one thing I will not miss was the world’s craziest shower! The shower basin to stand in was very shallow indeed meaning every time we used it we had a flooded bathroom to deal with. The shower curtain also only reached around half of the shower. The room was very clean, however the cleaners come fairly early and we found on one occasion they came when we weren't ready and never came back! When they do come you get clean towels and sheets and that seems to be it!
The hill up to the hotel is very steep but not really that bad, we spent the first few days turning right out of the hotel - the hill is steep and short but it takes longer to walk into town this way. We did get taxis back most days as the weather was in the 30s every day we were there. Turning left out of the hotel the hill is probably only about 15 min walk and leads you directly into the town.
Pefkos itself is just lovely. Lots and lots of bars and restaurants but hasn't lost its Greek feel, we didn’t have one bad meal. The Nikolas taverna is lovely, as is the restaurant by the beach. The coliseum restaurant is great too and the eclipse bar is out of this world!! We didn’t discover it until the last night, all I will say is going there is fantastic! The caprice bar and jasmine bar are great too, and you can get a taxi back up the hill for 4 euros from opposite the caprice bar. The peacock bar is good for cocktails too.
One thing you definitely should do is a trip on the glass bottomed boat. It’s absolutely beautiful and the guy who drives the boat is very funny. We went on the 2 hour boat trip which was amazing. You can also hire your own speed boat which we did. The prices are very reasonable. We also visited Lindos for a day, very hot there and we were not impressed by the sight of poor donkeys struggling up a mountain to the acropolis carrying overweight people on their backs! Lindos is lovely though with lots of great souvenir shops and alley ways including a gorgeous jewellery shop.
We would definitely go back to Pefkos, the people, weather and food made our holiday. However we would stay in a different hotel next time.

Me and my boyfriend were booking a late deal, and after searching the web we found the Ziakis Hotel, Pefkos, and after reading the reviews on this site and Trip Advisor I knew I wanted to stay there. We ended up finding a fab deal with Thompsons.
We arrived at 6am, and after a little trouble booking in with the owner (english not excellent), we got to our room. We had been allocated a studio apartment for 4 people, so it was fantastic to have a dressing room as well as a sleeping room! We had room number 210. The room/s were lovely, this has to be the cleanest hotel I have stayed in! The views were amazing and very romantic.
The walks to and from the town were steep but we are both sporty so it proved no trouble for us, we did take a taxi back on 2 nights (after a little too much vino and cocktails), but this only cost 4euros. I would advise taking a torch if you plan to take the route turning right out of the hotel at night, though we just used the light on my mobile phone.
The staff were extremely helpful during our stay, and the maids are great, everyday they came in and cleaned.
The pool is just lovely, its got fab views and the bar is reasonably priced, the english breakfast isn't the best but was fine to treat a little hangover.
We would recommend Nicholas' restaurant near the hotel, and The Eleni, the owner Theo is very friendly and on one night gave us a lift back up to the hotel! Another restaurant which was my favourite was the Nostalgia in Pekos town. Opposite this place in a very laid back bar (cannot remember what it is called), with its large leather couches and lounge chairs, makes it the ideal place to watch the football in a relaxed environment.
We did a trip to Rhodes town with Thompsons which inc travel, dinner, tour and boat trip. This was a lovely evening, just remember to take a sweater for the late evening and wear flat comfy shoes. The only thing I didn't like about Rhodes town was the shops, they try and push you into to buying things and the restaurants pester you to go in.
Lindos is worth a visit, we got the bus (5mins walk from hotel) it cost 1 euro 40 each (single). It only takes 10mins to get there. It is much more relaxed than Rhodes town. If you can find it, as all the roads look the same, Sinatras is tucked away and is the most wonderful and charismatic place to have breakfast. It is a small bar with a terrace, where breakfast is served, and the walls are full of Frank Sinatra memorabilia. Very enchanting.
The beach is busy and sunbeds cost 4euro each for the day, I have paid more in other resorts so it wasn't too bad. The water is perfect, quite calm and still warm for September.
This resort is definitely for couples, especially the hotel. Ideal for romance and relaxation. PERFECT!
All in all, this was the most perfect holiday for the two of us.

Well what can I say. I was very disappointed with Ziakis, it looks a nice hotel but what a bland block paved concrete mess. Just arrived home and I have to write this.
Spent seven days in Pefkos but only used the ziakis hotel as a base rest of time spent at Dimitris just down the road.
First impressions were fine, big but every part of this hotel is just block paved but not even good block paved at that.
The pool was fine but bar area was boring to view, no character to the place what so ever.
We had room 310 good view of Pefkos bay but next door to our room was a sewerage plant, there was a vile smell and mosquitoes. I’ve never been bitten as much, even with all the plugins, sprays etc.
I must say steph the Kosmar rep did offer to move us into a different room.
The pool looked clean but it was just a hole surrounded with sun beds - horrible.
Air con was a con at 55 Euros a week and if you get nasty night flights on sat if you want to keep your room for an extra 6 hours it will cost you 30 Euros and you only need it to get changed.
I’ve moaned enough don’t recommend but it’s up to you.

EXCELLENT.
Me and my girlfriend have just returned from Pefkos staying in Ziakis. The hotel is great for all parties. Very clean and tidy. Pool area always pleasant and reasonably quiet! If you get lucky you'll have an amazing view overlooking the town and coastline (we did).
Ziakis is set on the hillside and if you decide to walk into the town along the road route you may decide to take taxis after a couple of days. However as you exit the hotel and follow the road to your right you will come to a goat track (which is marked as shortcut on the tarmac with chalk) this track cuts off loads of the hard work! We and my other half quite happily walked up and down this every night into town but you will need a torch when it gets dark.
I found Pefkos town to be a bit too lively and 'english' however Ziakis was perfect as it is set out of the and away from the hustle and bustle of it all. There isn't a great deal to do in Pefkos, however I would recommend buying some snorkels and checking out the fish down on the beach. Some very tropical looking fish to see.
As far as food goes, I would recommend Nikolas taverna and for the more upmarket cuisine try the Greek house. This was recommended to us at the hotel and apparently had the reputation for the best chef in Pefkos. All our meals for two were around 30 euros however the Greek house was 60 euros but was well worth the extra.
Although we would not return to Pefkos as it was not really the traditional Greek we were looking for, I would certainly recommend Ziakis. Clean and tidy, pool excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. The barman Costa will serve you drinks through to the early hours of the morning and makes some mean cocktails!

Just returned from Pefkos. Ziakis apartments superb. Very clean and fantastic views. We were in one-bed apartment which had a bath with shower over. Balcony large.
Would definitely recommend Pefkos and Ziakis to anyone. We found a short cut down the hill; turn right when coming out of apartments and 100 yards on there is a track down the hillside. You need a torch when it is dark, but it is not too rocky.
Family who owned apartments very friendly. I would recommend taking the glass-bottomed boat to Lindos, the owner who steers the boat is greek and has a great sense of humour, it was one of the highlights of my holiday; be prepared to get wet.
Restaurants all good, but a lack of fruit. Take a good pair of trainers/shoes as the stone/pebbles in a lot of the streets, especially Lindos are very slippy.

Just returned from Pefkos this morning and what can I say, we paid £270 pp for our holiday to the Ziakis apartments in Pefkos, and it was great! As I usually always opt for 4* plus hotel (either half board or All Inclusive) I wondered was I was going to get.
As it was an extra holiday, we opted for 3* self catering and we were not disappointed the staff were really pleasant and helpful, trying their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible, they managed it with flying colours!
Surprising their little shop within the reception was cheaper than some of the supermarkets in the resort centre which makes a pleasant change and if you don't fancy making your own lunch they have a pool snack bar which is reasonably priced and Michael was always eager to please.
The apartments are set higher up within the resort, which is the only drawback, but there is a shortcut which was fine and you can take a taxi back up at night if you don't want to walk, but watch the taxi drivers, the try to rip you off, haggle! There is also a sign at the taxi rank which states the price to Lindos so you are covered there.
Lindos is a lovely old town and worth a visit, but we tended to eat in Pefkos first, more choice and better restaurants, Nikolas, The Coloseum and Enigma to name a few.
Overall I wanted a relaxing and pleasant holiday and that is exactly what I got at the Ziakis and in Pefkos. BLISS!

It is one of the best places I have stayed, the staff cannot do enough for you. The only downside is it's on a hill, but the view makes up for that. We travelled with Thomas Cook who I would not travel with anymore, the staff and rep were terrible always travel Thompson. If you want to see old Greece go to Pefkis, I loved it so much am going back to live.

Just returned from the Ziakis Hotel. We where supposed to stay in the Stella Apartments but Thomas Cook mucked up our holidays when they accidently cancelled it and this was the only other place they could get us into. The hotel and staff where great. The only thing we could fault was the location and that we did not feel there where enough sun beds for the amount of apartments. We felt the location restricted us as we like to get out and about. We where lucky Yianni from the Wild West bar took us home in the early hours of the morning otherwise we would have to had walked as taxis are few and far between after 1.30am and would have to have walked up a dark hilly road. This was our 3rd time in Pefkos and we love the place. Our Favourite restaurants are the Hellas Gardens and the Anixis restaurant and of course our favourite bar is the Wild west bar. Also we really enjoyed the Oasis Pool bar. The staff there are mad !!!
