Evenia Rocafort

Thanks to the great reviews for this hotel and a VERY good rate for our Barcelona City Trip (The rate we got from booking.com) We decided to stay here! We both can say we are very happy and satisfied with Evenia Rocafort. On the day of arrival everything went smooth from catching the AeroBus to the city center (Plaza Catalunya) and from there taking the Metro Poble Sec stop. Booked this place through last minute.com and therefore it was very good value - stayed for 3 nights about 67 euros per night for a twin room (Spain doesn't seem to do many double rooms) This place is in a good location just off the Avenue Parallel and close to the Poble Sec metro station which will take you wherever you need to go in Barcelona or with a 20 minute brisk walk you'll be at the end of La Ramblas. I spent last week 3 nights at the Evenia Rocafort. The hotel is a great 3 stars hotel, the staff is very friendly, the service very good.The room was comfortable, it seemed as it was lately renewed , the bath was clean and shiny. breakfast was much more than satisfying Although it is not located at the very center of the city , it takes about 12 minutes walk or 3 metro stops to Plaza Catalunya, the neighbourhood is very nice and quiet, there restaurants and cafeterias nearby.I t is easy to arrive from the airport. This hotel is great . It's located less than 5min walk from a metro station. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The facilities in the room are just what you need for a few nights stay. 20mins in a taxi to/from the airport. Definately recommend this hotel for long weekend visitors

Just came back from a weekend in Barcelona, first time visiting, stayed 2 nights at Evenia Rocafort. From airport: We took a taxi which was 22 euros it took us about half hour and even though the taxi man couldnt speak english, i showed him the address and he found it no problems. Reception: Nice decoration, good first impressions. Check in was quick and easy. Cotursa Rocafort is a simple, modern and clean hotel with a ok location and that is not too expensive. The room was a bit small, but was quiet and the bathrom was ok. I liked the beakfast, good variaty of food.

My wife and I stayed three nights at this hotel and were very satisfied. The room was a little small and faced internally but the location is excellent and so was the breakfast. The metro is close by and Montjuich not far by foot. It is nicely situated in a fairly quiet eighbourhood and sitting outside having a drink in the evening at a local bar along with the locals was very pleasant.

The location of the hotel is perfect near to the metro station Poble sec and also in walking distance to Placa Espanya, where the aerobus from/to the airport stops. The environment is proper neighborhood and you will feel really comfortable with the retailstores and some small corner pubs for your last beer before going to bed. Very nice clean comfortable hotel. An easy walk to both of the Montjuic and Rambla areas and close to the metro line (Poble Sec line 3) that goes up La Rambla within 2-4 stops if you're lazy, and why not with a 4 day travel card only costing £10. The hotel itself is not in a tourist area with things such as mechanics' garages along the street, but this is a good thing as it means it's quiet at night - staying too close to La Rambla would be noisy. Had an absolutely fabulous time in Barcelona!!! Will definately go back soon and would stay at Cotursa Rocafort again!! It is approx 100mtrs away from Poble Sec Metro station (turn right out of hotel door!) which will take you to any destination you choose! The hotel was clean, the rooms spacious and the bathroom was really nice with bidet and great shower and bath to relax your weary walking legs!! Beer was cheap in hotel, 2 bottles of local beer for 4 euros (better than paying 9 euros on La Ramblas!). Breakfast was pretty average,... more
