Hotel Description:

You’ll soon be calling them – Lindos Romantic Studios. You’re on top of a hill with a wonderful view of the Acropolis and the turquoise sea below. From here, that water looks tempting but you can also swim closer to home in the large pool. Hunger pangs are easily satisfied, too: there’s an on-site supermarket, all-day snacks at the pool bar and Antonis’ on-site restaurant/bar/shop (below some of the studios).

" This was the worst accommodation I... "

This was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Nothing like the video or brochure. The room was 13 ft by 13ft approx. No balcony as requested. We had to move table/chairs to open wardrobe, the kettle and toaster had to be used on the floor as there was no surface to put them on. We were unable to make even a sandwich as there were no surfaces available. We had to keep curtains drawn together as the window looked to where everyone walked past and there was no privacy at all. The pool shown does not belong to apartments and is a public pool which means having to go out onto the street to get to it, totally misleading. The rep was very unhelpful when we complained and when we rang Thomsons in England were told well you did book it off the internet.

" We have just returned from a... "

We have just returned from a fantastic week in Rhodes. staying at the Romanza Studios in Lindos. Very hot! 46* in the shade and a reported 102* at night.

Our apartment No 5 faced the sea and Lindos bay, we watched the sun-rise over the horizon, wow, what a really great experience. The apartment it-self was clean and tidy, Maria the maid did a good job. The free air con was a godsend, clean towels, loo rolls and beds made every day.

The Pool Bar was the highlight of our stay, owned by Karen and assisted by her parents Tony & Chris. We were made to feel welcome from day one and nothing was to much trouble, the sun beds are free of charge. The snacks are home made and first class and the beer is served in ice cold glass's.

We spent most of our time by the pool, our son spent most of the time in the pool, which is a good size and at its deepest is 1.8m, the pool is clean and the pool-side is well laid out. Tony checks the pool chemical levels each day and as such there where no ear problems, or sore eyes reported. We cant thank them enough for the hospitality that they extended to us and in fact they kept the bar open for us (starts to close down around 6pm) and two other guests until our coach arrived on the evening of our departure at 10pm.

Because of the high temps we didn't stray to far from the pool and bar, however in the evening we did venture down to Lindos (wear sensible shoes for the walk) which is an interesting village with lots of bars and shops, however you'll find the people are not constantly harassing you or pestering you to buy and in general seemed very friendly.

As far as Thomson go, we have no cause for complaint every thing went like clock-work. We flew out of Doncaster D.S.A which is a really good airport to fly from and local to us.

We fell in love with Lindos and we will return next year and if possible back to the Romanza Studios. We would have liked to have stayed longer than a week, however Rhodes is now at the top of our holiday destination list.

" Lindos itself is a very beautiful... "

Lindos itself is a very beautiful part of Rhodes with probably one of the best beaches. Lindos is very hilly and certainly not for the feint hearted. The acropolis is well worth a visit.

There are plenty of really good restaurants in Lindos and one of my favourites was Caesars.

We stayed at The Lindos Romanza, which we found to be very clean and bright apartments. The apartments are at the top of a hill and is quite a trek down to the beach but there is a courtesy bus that runs every 10 minutes down to the main square.

We found the staff in the bar/restaurant and the shop beneath the apartments to be very friendly and would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone.

Overall holiday was excellent
