President Hotel Salou

Just back from a week in this hotel and had my concerns before booking, as could find only one review where the person complained about the food not being up to much, and that the soup was cold every night.
The soup was cold on purpose as this is how the Spanish take it and I found it quite refreshing! As for the rest of the food it was great, even my 13 year old son loved it and had no complaints, how many half board hotels cooks your meat in front of you? This one did, I had my steak cooked to my liking 2 different nights and they even did lamb chops a few nights, food was so good that we noticed most of the guests were having second and third helpings which didn’t make me feel so bad.
The hotel was lovely and new and modern it even had flat screen TVs in the rooms, it was very clean and fresh, in the bathroom there was no bath but the shower was a massive power shower, my son loved it.
The hotel President had no pool but it at a lovely decked roof top with 2 hot tubs, in my opinion we didn’t even miss the pool as the beach really is only 50 metres away and there was no screaming kids, it was lovely and peaceful but very well located as everything was within a short walking distance.
The hotel was great the only thing that I was disappointed with was the reception staff! they had poor English and were ignorant and very unhelpful, their attitudes were not very nice, and as for manners, they didn’t seem to know what they were!
If you can get by without asking them anything then this will only be a minor hitch as everything else is lovely!
