We had planned to visit the Christmas market for a couple of years now , though this time we actually made it.
Flying with Jet 2 at an advertised rate of £9 each way we found we had to pay an additional £24.26 for "airport and government taxes"
The market was somewhat disappointing in that after seeing the first 4 or so stalls all the other 200+ were repeats of the same.
Prague city though was great, we initially joined a walking tour of the city centre £20 ea. which introduced us to various 'concert halls', short cruise on the river, Charles Bridge, lunch followed by a visit to the castle and St. Vitas cathedral.
Evening meals well catered for with extensive range of choice ranging from traditional meals right thro to Japanese Sushi.
Our visit was Sunday thro to Thursday so we saw many older visitors initially that changed to a much younger bias as we left.

Great hotel.
Clean freshly decorated room in modern style.
Nice bathroom (WC, sink, shower, heated floor....good idea in December!)
Good buffet breakfast (ceareal, yogurt, fruit, bread, croissants, jam, meats, cheese)
Great location, metro station and train station opposite, but not main entrance so not noisy.
wensleslas square 5-10 mins on foot.
Staff pleasant and helpful, we could leave our bags on first and last day, and leave valuables in safe.
We arrived early (before official check in time) but were offered a room straight away. (they only had a twin available before official check in time, so we went into town whilst we waited for a double to be prepared).
