The George Hotel is run by Stavros and Karen who are both fantastic.The rooms are very small even by Greek standards and once you allow for the beds, the wardrobe and your suitcases it only leaves a tinny amount of floor space. The shower is extremely basic.The beds were... more
Regarding the comments on the 'exorbitant' air conditioning charge: Thomson pay us around 12 pounds per room per night (yes, you did read that correctly) and out of that we have to provide breakfast, and pay tax, rates, electric bills, laundry, cleaning equipment, replace worn bedding and towels etc etc. We simply could not possible throw in free air conditioning without going bankrupt - we are barely able to keep going as it is. We charge you as near as we can calculate it, what the electricity company charges us to run the air conditioning. We make no profit on this charge.
