Super expensive but very nice hotel with great rooms but food and wine and other services a way overpriced. The top level sky bar is nice but at 16 Euro for a local beer or 26 Euros for a Heineken you can’t enjoy the bar. Food portions are small, OK tasting but very expensive. 25 Euros for a mini American hamburger

Stay here if you want to overpay and get ripped off. Rooms not worth the money. Management is terrible. We booked a Club room at this hotel based on the fact that we were using an Ambassador Club free weekend night. We made it very clear when we made the reservation that we would use our free night. I confirmed twice that the free night applied. I informed the front desk upon check in that we were using our free night. As one would expect, this 5-star hotel deserves its rating. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, and the staff are very efficient and responsive. The hotel is only a short walk to the Metro. If you can afford it, stay here.

Poor value, staff needs some serious training and the prices are outrageous. The room was well appointed and comfortable. There was one small piece of soap, one robe and one bath cloth. Housekeeping could not seem to get it straight. Every day it was something. No bath cloths, one robe or one hand towel and two bath cloths etc. etc. A four ounce pour of house white wine in the roof bar was 32 Turkish Lira or $25.60. I am somewhat amazed at all the negative reviews for this place. Our family of 6 had a very enjoyable stay here. We were greeted quickly and efficiently, the staff took our bags and were very helpful. The check-in was literally 2 minutes tops and we were on our way upstairs. We had a very nice junior suite, it is basically one huge room with a heavy wood divider that slides open or shut. Perfect to put our kids on one side and us on the other. Absolutely hated it! I just spent 19 days in turkey and I stayed in many hotels all around and with no doubt this is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. I go to the points- 1.Requested six non-smoking (requested in advance), they gave us all smoking rooms. Our stay was part of an elegant Seabourn cruise package. We were shocked and dismayed to leave our ship of wonderfu, helpful, friendly staff and to be greeted with neither a "hello" or a smile. We stood at the desk and were ignored. Our lost luggage was suppose to be at the hotel and the concierge would not even look in the back room for it. (It was there!) Hotel Ceylan Intercontinental location and service is excellent, personnel are friendly, they all speak English and are well trained and client oriented. We were 6 people in four rooms. Overall I had a great stay at the Ceylan InterContinental in Aug. 06. I was upgraded to the top Club floor. The room was nice, not exceptional, but clean and comfortable with an unrivaled view of the Bosphorus. Good points for the pool and work out facility as well. Stayed here for 4 nights with my wife and 2 young children. Hotel made a mistake with my reservation, taking me to a twin room without sea view room on a low floor - not an ideal start. This was rectified quickly, however, and I was transferred to a room on the 12th floor with king size bed, and Bosphorus Sea View room.
