We were looking for somewhere...
9 / 10
Jan 2006, Mr A  Griggs

We were looking for somewhere slightly different and this holiday to Croatia came up on a Teletext holiday e-mail. The price was exceptionally good. The flight was on Ryanair to Trieste(no problems as usual) The transfer by minibus was a bit long (3 hours).
The hotel was very, very good- much above our expectations. The food was plentiful (buffet style)You could say it was a bit bland but there was so much choice even the pickiest would find something. The rooms were clean, quite spacious, our one overlooked the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. The swimming pools(sea water)were very good.
The whole complex of 3 hotels and chalets are in woods surrounded on three sides by the sea. The area was clean, tidy and well looked after.
Pula was a short bus ride away it was a very interesting place. the excursions were good value.

Located in about 2 miles away from...

Nov 2005, Mr J Payne

Located in about 2 miles away from the centre on Pula on a peninsula with around 4 other hotels and shared sporting/entertainment facilities. The hotel was built in the early 80's for British and German holiday makers and the decor still looks like it’s in the 80s.
There are very few British holiday makers now with the majority being German. The hotel is clean and most of the staff are very helpful. It also has two pools, one indoor and one gently sloping pool outside. There is no air con in the rooms which made it very hot. There was also very loud open music until around 2am. So sleeping was quite hard as we had to be in our room after 8pm because our 18 month girl had to go to sleep. There is a rocky beach all around this area with no sand. Many locals come to the beach at the weekend so it becomes very busy, they also seemed to use the hotel pools for free as no checks if you are a resident.
The peninsula is very pretty and is still heavily wooded. The is also a nice aquarium in a old fort which was nice and cool when the outside temperatures were around 40C! Pula itself is a nice city with plenty of shops and a well preserved amphitheatre.
