Tassos Apartments

We have just returned from a fantastic two weeks at the Tassos apartments. The weather was fab, the apartments were spacious and clean although basic (but it is Greece, so what do you expect!) and the staff were very helpful and friendly, especially John, Romeo and Laura. We were in a lovely peaceful location and haven"t slept so well in ages, in fact it was 11am when we woke on two occasions!! As the title suggests, the missus and myself had a great week away at the Tassos Apartments in Acharavi. I had read all the reviews on here before we travelled there, so naturally we were both a bit apprehensive of what me may find. We stayed at apartment #112 and while it was not the most up to date and most looked after apartment we had ever stayed in, it was clean, roomy and very comfortable. I went here the last week of may...i hadn't had a holiday in two years and the stress of exams had built up and made me miserable and a bit depressed i was ready for a holiday...at first i was a little disappointed by the apartment (villa 1) but the tassos apartments i think definately grow on you...i made loads of great friends and had a great time with my family. My friend and I stayed week beginning 21/05/07 having booked a holiday to get away from the hustle and bustle of London and relax. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! Our villa was right next to the pool, which is quite a nice area, but that also meant that it was right next to the pool bar that stays open until the last person leaves. My wife and I had a one week stay at Tassos, apartment #114, commencing 21st May 2007. Location of apartments good for beach and main street, many good restaurants within walking distance. Nice pool (not used) and bar. Downside,during our stay we never saw the reception open, no information concerning fire safety, in fact no information on anything also apartment not very clean and very basic. our apartment was not only filthy but stank of sewer our bed sheets and towels were changed only once in the whole of our two week stay. our entire apartment was damp and had mould on all walls,we tried to be moved to another apartment but were continually refused, the beach is fantastic but that is it,my husband and i have been going to the greek islands for the past seven years but would never go back to Acharavi tassos apartments. A great place to stay. Friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The apartment was basic but comfortable and the service we received was first class. The owners, Tassos and Tula were welcoming and the two boys, Jon and Romero were absolutely brill. They did everything they could to make our stay the best they could. I would highly recommend this complex to anybody that wanted a quiet and relaxing holiday in a nice, small and friendly place. We would definately return to this place again in the future. Our apartment at the Tassos was dirty and dingy. There is a flight of very dangerous wooden stairs up to the bedroom with no light switch at the bottom. I don't think the place was cleaned while we were there and the bed sheets were only changed once in two weeks. (the brochure states twice weekly). The pool was nice and the two lads running the bar, Jon and Romeo were excellent.

i stayed here with my boyfriend in 2004 and it was great the weather was brill the whoile week and the staff are really friendly. the beach is a minuites walk from the hotel .the town is a short 10 minuite walk from the hotel and there are wide variety of shops. if you are wanting to travel out a little further i suggest hiring a car or motorbike as there is alot more to see the further out you go. recommended for couples definetly.

Me, my Wife and my 2 kids, have stayed at Tassos apts on 3 previous occasions - this year (Aug 2006) we're going back again .... what does that tell you! It's run by First Choice, but it doesn't feature in their main broucher, it's some sister book called "Sun villas" or something stupid like that! Unlike First Choice's neighbouring venues, the Matuola and the Nirieas, you can stroll down to the pool at Tassos at ANY time of the day and get a sunbed - I recall my first visit to Acharavi in 1999 when if you didn't get a towel on the bed... more
