Melinda Apartments

Just returned from a week at Melinda apartments , Roda , Corfu.
Excellent hosts and very well kept site. Pool is fantastic for the kids and adults.
Rooms are well kept and have all you need for self catering.
In the bar area they do English and Greek food , which is excellent as you have the best of both.
I cannot say any more than we have booked two weeks next year as it has a fantastic atmosphere, Adonis, Gayle & George are fantastic people and nothing is any bother

Myself and 13 year old son have just returned from another 2 weeks holiday in Roda, We have been there 5 times and going back again next year. The Melinda is a fantastic, warm and most welcoming apartments that we have stayed at. The whole family cant do enough for you,(that includes getting my brown bread). Cant wait to go back yet again, see ya next year xxx

Just had a week at Melinda Apartments.
Wow , we had a great time .
The complex is clean, apartments clean and have what you need for a self catering holiday.
They cook English as well as Greek food the choice is yours.
All the family's that stayed got on well and the family that run the Melinda are absolutely fab
Nothing a problem for them at all.
We felt safe and not alone in the resort.
We have booked to go back for two weeks next year
As we had one week this year and it wasn't enough.
Thank you Adonis, Gayle & George for making our holiday complete.

Just arrived back from a fortnight at the Melinda and have already booked to return next year. George, Adonis and Gail were fabulous hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms admittedly are very basic, but are cleaned regularly to a good standard. The Melinda is close to plenty of restaurants and bars and the beach is just a short walk away, but if you prefer to stay at the Melinda the pool area is well maintained, there is a good menu and the bar is well stocked.

We have recently come back from our 2 week stay at the Melinda and i cant praise the family enough for their kindness during our stay, they will go out of their way for you and help you in any shape or form, the apts are great the pool is lovely, the food is great, plenty of sunbeds and you dont have to get out of bed @ 6 in the morning to reserve one!!finally dont forget these apts are rated 3 star and what we gotw as way and far above out expectations, see you next year!!

The holiday brochures describe these apartments as being off the main road, whereas I would describe it as being on the road. The road is very noisy with road traffic and this is compounded by the fact that it is located approximately 100m from busy cross roads with traffic lights. Every motor bike and car sees the lights as a challenge and accelerate off as if in a race which increases the decibal level. The road noise continues until 4 in the morning and then resumes at about 7! Children are definitely disturbed by the noise. The noise from the bar can also be very loud again causing issues for children if placed in the block next to bar. The bedrooms face the bar and this compounds the problem.
I would suggest that the Melinda is geared up for people who like to be at a complex which caters for English tastes i.e burger chips high alcohol consumption etc with very little culural offering. My last day at the complex I stayed in the bar area but always felt on a knife edge; not a comfortable place in my opinion for my young children due to behaviour /language of others.
The accommodation is as expected in Greece; basic although my particular block was very tired and needed some updating and renovation and the drains in the bathroom needed sorting out (you couldn't leave towels in there as they took on the smell of the drains)
If you want predominantly English food, have teenage kids who can use the bar then this complex will suit; if you have young children they will be disturbed by road noise and bar noise,
I wouldn't return under any circumstnaces as it was too "English" for my particular liking.

we booked this holiday 7 months before we went & to get there and find we were on the TOP floor with a young baby! NO rest carrying the pram up the sttairs severall times a day! to enoy us further a young couple came a day or so after us & was put on the ground floor!!! from start to finish there were endless problems. the melinda is in a great spot lovely little town, however the road at night is very noisy if you want to sit on the balcony! the rooms have great facilities apart from the shower ,it was a struggle to get warm water,the shower heads need replaceing they wer so bloaked up I WUD BE IN THE SHOWER AND IT WOULD JUST STOP... the rooms would get cleaned about 5 days out of 7 but would rarely left clean towels, she wud just hang them to dry on the line dirty! my partner had to ask for more towels.the rooms just got made up(beds) never cleaned well! 1 evening football was on & we sat in the bar & our baby was asleep - we opened the door because the smoke was so heavy for the lil ones, they asked us to shut it!!!! so we left. discusting! not a place to take young children. THEODORES IS A GREAT HOTEL AND QUIET SPOT :)

Just returned from a 2 week stay. Just a perfect holiday. The accommodation was super, a 2 bedroomed appt. in a single storey block of 6. Kitchen was well equipped with electric kettle, toaster, large fridge/freezer and hob with 3 burners plus oven/grill. Beds were comfortable, linen changed regularly and bins emptied daily. The Vassilakis family went out of their way to make our stay a comfortable and happy one. The pool and surrounding area was kept immaculately, and the pool bar served the usual snacks and cold drinks. Full English breakfast was superb and very reasonably priced, can reccommend it! The appts. are situated close to a main road, handy for the local bus stop and supermarkets and restaurants are only a short walk away. Many thanks to all the family who made our stay such a memorable one. No hesitation in saying that we intend to return to Roda and the Melinda Appts. in the future.

This was our first visit to Roda and the Melinda apartments.We were made very welcome by the family they did all they could to help you.The apartments were kept clean and were freshly decorated.
Ideal for familys with children or couples alone.
The town was just a few minutes walk away lots of Taverners and would highly recommend 'Nikos' for a very good evening meal.
Would visit again.

we came to corfu for the first time this year & we stayed in roda at the melinda, our room was spotless & was kept that way throughout our holiday,
there was a pushchair parked up at the area beside the bar along with a mobility scooter, neither of which were in the way as there is about 5 entrences into the bar itself.
the family that own the melinda were lovely, they were on hand day & night whether it was for something to eat & drink or just for a chat, gayle was there on our arrival to see us into our room & made us feel more than welcome from the moment we stepped off the coach, her children are also very sweet & played with our son almost every day, infact without them i dont think our sons holiday would of been as good.
the weather could of been better but it was october so we did expect it, saying that we did get a few very hot days.
what amazed us was the amount of guests there that are return visitors, many said they had been going there for years & years & i can honestly understand why, the place is beautiful & the people bend over backwards to help nothing is too much trouble to them.
if you go ( & we highly recommend it) try adoni's hunters chicken, & when you go out at night try maggies fish & chips or stiffado at the roda park, you wont be dissapointed!!
we will defenitly be back in 2011 & are booking the melind without a doubt.
roll on 2011 so we can go back.
