We booked this hotel as a large group, we were allocated the appartments which are definetly NOT 4 * They are very dated, run down, and the beds are not adult beds they are camp beds. The hotel itself has the potential to be an excellent hotel, but the staff are really... more

The reviews of this hotel are fair. This is not a 4-star hotel as we know it, but it still is a great holiday resort with lots to do. The food is boring (unfortunately) and the breakfast canteen was like being in the middle of Clapham Junction. It’s really busy. We... more

When we got to the hotel on our first day, there was a problem with 10 of the rooms so our room wasn’t ready until the next day. The hotel staff were very organised and efficient and arranged for us to stay in another hotel for the night and arranged a taxi to bring us to... more

The hotel was very pleasant. But: at the day of checking out we quited our room at 12.00 and have free time before flight (at 20.20), we checked passports, tickers and money to the reception-s safe. When we returned at 17.00, the documents had disappeared. Nobody stealed... more

We stayed at paradise park for a week, to be honest the apartments need refurbished,. The food was ok though we dined out a few nights as it was a bit repetative. It is a good 10 miniute walk in to los cristianos. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was really clean. I would stay at this hotel again if I got it on offer.

Apartments Spoil Stay at Hotel
Cosmos Travel stated that our apartment would be 4*, very disappointed on arrival that the apartment was definately not 4*, would rate as a poor 2*. The rooms were well used and tired, furniture shabby, kitchen particulary bad. The whole apartment was in desperate need of moderisation. Although the apartment was shabby it was clean, maid service 6 days a week. The rest of the hotel was fine but the condition of the apartment took the shine off the holiday. Staff very friendly and helpful, the exterior of the hotel was fine, minibus to beach was great, but a little too small. Would not return to hotel unless the rooms were moderised and upgraded especially with air conditioning in apartments. Beach very clean, recommend Las Vistas Restaurant for lunch. Don't recommend Restaurant Don Quixote, which is behind the hotel, service was very poor (forgot about our order on more than one occasion) would not return.
Better then paradise hotel!
This hotel is fantastic! I returned less then a week ago and I really want to go back right now. I stayed for 10 days with my boyfriend and we both said it was the best hotel we had been in on holiday. The food was lovely-plenty of choice and variety, the night entertainment was out of this world! including parrot and snake shows, dancers from paris, african dancers as well as many others. Julien the entertainment manager was great and I looked forward to his witty comments every night. The room was super with air con, hair dryer, mini fridge, tv and even a light came on when you opened the wardrobe! The hotel and room were very clean and I loved the was it was open to the environment! The sun shining down in the morning was just magic, it truly was paradise. I recommened going half board, and getting your lunch from the many places around the area, there is nice english cafe near the local netto which serves nice food. The only draw back was the area, steep hills everywhere (but great to burn some of those calories) and some building work was being done but thats happening everywhere in Tenerife at the moment. The beach isn`t up to much but the hotel pools more than made up for that, 5 pools which are all superb, and there was always enough sun beds. Just a note to people with children that from the 1st November this hotel will be adult only, if you were thinking of going. The shops near by were great and sell lovely presents for family and friends. Everyone in the area speaks great english and the reception staff were friendly and lovely to speak to. A great hotel and I really can`t wait to go back again, I wish I was there now if anyone wants to take me with them!
holiday well enjoyed
we arrived at paradise park the clientele we could see was not the under 20,s which pleased us.we had asked for us in a family room hoping has it used to be a aparthotel that we got a room with my children being in with us apart from a door to our bedroom.we got just that it even had a kitchenette and a fridge too.the accomadation and pineda is very high in cleanliness.the staff in the restaurant and in the outside bars is excellent.the pool is clean and they had just started doing activities with the children,eg drawing and colouring as well as sport activities.if they were anything in which they could improve on i think it would be afternoon snacks instead of chips that dry out jacket pototoes would favour well and a few biscuits to go with coffees.,plus more evening entertainment the restaurant manager is so obliging he could not do enough for us you wanted something he would do his best to be helpful.it was my sons birthday i arranged a cake he provided champayne and fruit cocktails for the children it was so nice and a surprise for my son who loved it. we recommend this hotel and pined de mar if you like us love it a little quiet and friendly, not a bars and promenade of shops to see, there are shops but again just nice to have an afternoon stroll round.there is a very good friday market that is excellent too.fab holiday thanks to all.
a great holiday
We have just returned from the paradise park hotel where we enjoyed our holiday. The hotel is very clean and has good facilities. We stayed in a 2 bed self catering apartment which had adequate cooking facilities and comfortably accomodated 4 people. The only thing lacking was a microwave. The hotel has various bars which cater for different tastes we found the family bar yaiza the best for families with kids where they have a nightly mini disco for the children followed by various entertainment every evening . The hotel is situated about 10 mins walk from the centre of los cristianos up quite a steep hill. Our first night we walked to los cristianos and ate in one of the beach front restaurants as we were told the hotel restauraunt was expensive all in all the hotel restaurant worked out about 6 euros dearer than the restaurants but it was well worth the extra money the food is absolutely delicious and u can get as much as u want we ate there every night . Taxis from the beach back up the hill are about 1.50 and well worth it. The pool was warm and clean and it felt safe to let the children play about at night. The shopping complex is now structually finished so there was no noise from drills etc. There is a small supermarket on site which sells basics plus a souvenir shop. All in all we had a great time in a lovely hotel and are thinking of booking again for august.
It did not feel like Paradise
We just got back from a week at the Paradise Park. I booked this holiday a few days prior with Thomas Cook direct. The hotel is a bit far out at the top of a steep incline but that was not a great problem as there is a free bus. There is a bit of building work around but no more than a lot of places in Tenerife. Our main problem was a terrible smell coming from our bathroom which I can only describe as being like a dead rodent rotting away. I put 2 large bottles of bleach down all the plugholes and loo but it persisted. When we complained they sent a man with a sealant gun. He made a lot of banging and then used the sealant the smell did mask the other smell but almost knocked me out. Had to wait until we had done 4 nights for a change of room which was lovely to be able to breathe. The weather was poor on our first few days and it would have been nice to relax in our room but we could not because of the smell and we also noticed the bath water was discoloured which made me have worries of dreadful illness such as cholera! Apart from that the breakfast was good with plenty of variety, but evening meals were not top class and meat was undercooked and food tepid. The sun roof was a great place to catch the sun but we did notice the same bad smell as in our room a couple of times up there. There was not much to do around the area but as stated there was a free bus and taxis were cheap enough. There is a spa in the hotel and I had a massage which was performed by a very nice lady and it really relaxed me.It was the highlight of my stay. The hotel is an openplan and by that I mean parts are open to the elements so in February you need a thick jumper as it is very chilly in places. It would be ideal during the hot Summer months though. In all I do not think this hotel warrants 4 stars and would rate it as just around 3 or even less as I have stayed in far superior 3 star places. If I go back to Tenerife it will be back to Las Americas in the 4 star hotels there as I have had some great holidays in the past but I am afraid this was not one of them.
Brilliant
We have been to Paradise Park a total of 4 times in the past 6 years - initally with all 4 children and for the last 2 trips with just 1, the other 3 being older teenagers. From Year 1 we all thought this was a fantastic development. We has a duplex 2 bed the first year and 1 bed apartments is subsequent years. Service, cleanliness and activities for both children and adults were way above par and as for Julio - the Entertainment Manager - what can I say. He is one of the reasons my youngest ( 10) keeps requesting to go back. We were last there in 2004 and hope to be back again in 2006. As for the complaints - 1) Cardiac Hill - the hotel operates a free countesy bus to and from Los Christianos every hour. As well as this a taxi to the town centre is approx. 2.50. 2) Building work - yes, there is a shopping centre being built and our apartment last year faced it but in all honesty the noise ( such as it was) did not bother us or mar our holiday in any way. As a matter of fact it was quite nice to see the chaps working away while we were lounging on our balcony!!
Los(t) Paradise Park Hotel
On arriving by coach we had to wait an hour for our room to be made up only to find on entering the room, going out on the balcony 20ft away were workmen drilling, hammering shouting on a new shopping centre being built which according to Cosmos was finished. We complained to management who moved us further along, (no different) to be told by the rep he had a great room over the other side and he moved out for us. Hotel foyer looks like a chinese laundry after rain as it,s open to the elements with blankets spread over floor to mop up rain (very dangerous at top of stairs for kids) and after rain the staff don,t mop up its left to dry itself (takes days.) The hill from Los Cristinos to the hotel is called Cardiac Hill by the locals! you need boots and a rope to get up it and a skateboard to go down it
Xmas at the Paradise Park...................
Prior to booking any holiday I look at this site to check out the potential hotel that we may be staying in and having read the reviews on the Paradise Park I decided to book it for our Xmas break. I desperately tried to be positive about the hotel but unfortunately I am afraid to say that I do not believe that it is a 4* hotel and find it hard to believe it won an 'Excellance Award'. The first room we were put in was dark and over looked by a massive hotel being built on the other side of the road. We were moved the following day to a room that over looked the pool which was better but this too now looks out onto another massive building - a conference centre I believe - that is bieng built too. The only other side to the hotel is on a busy main road and over looked by a Chinese Restaurant This unfortunately is were the rock pool is situated so all in all you are surrounded by traffic, noise and I really felt the hotel was squashed into a tiny space with no inch of garden other than the plants around the pool area. The hotel was clean but I felt a little tired and in need of something!! The food on Xmas day was very good indeed. The rest of the time it was ok.........breakfast was probably the best meal though! My last moan is that is it by no way 10 minutes walk to the beach as indicated in all the brochures. I am only in my 30's and I would have needed a skate board to get down the hill in that time. To finish on a positive........it is not a bad hotel I just feel that the reviews and brochures make it out to be a good 4* hotel which I dont believe it is..........If you go expecting a 3* accommodation then I think you will have a good time - but take your Ear Plugs!!!!
amazing time
I stayed at the Paradise Park hotel in march 2004 for one week with my boyfriend, we had a fantastic time. We stayed in the apartments which were very clean and had everything we needed. The staff including the maids were very nice and the room was cleaned evryday and was imaculate. Around the corner but still attached to the hotel is a seperate lagoon style pool which was absolutely fantastic (except from the building work going on around it) but to be honest that never really bothered me i cant say i noticed it. The other swimming pools what can i say fantastic, especially loved the adult only ones. A chinese restaruant just up the hill is absolutely fantastic. The entretainment in the hotel was amazing aswell, always a show on of some kind. Fantastic for children. Safety deposit boxes if i can remeber correctly cost 30 euros. I would recomend this hotel to anyone it was fantastic in everyway. hope everyone enjoys the hotel aswell as my boyfriend and i did.
Great, loads of fun!
It was a great hotel! With loads of entertainment for the children. The only thing was there was building going on infront of the hotel. So we moved to the other side of the hotel after a week. The apartment was extremly nice, with enough room, Los Cristianos was just down the road. It was a fabulous holidays! I would go there again!
